I won't... same as I won't get Diablo 3

Blizzard ignored these games for so long...I lost all ability to care for them. They are 12-10 years out of the lime light to long.

I have other reasons...but Blizzard as a company abandoned anyone who was not a WOW player, and they can have their dollar. But not mine.

I'll be getting it once they finish the game instead of selling only a third at a time.
I hear that. I was really disappointed when I heard they would split up the single player experience let alone the muti-player one but I am choosing to believe Blizzard when they tell me I will be getting more single player coolness for my trouble.

Sure, I give it a shot.

Wait...... Your not Korean are you? Looking for easy prey? ;)
I am not Korean and have not really played a RTS in depth since Red Alert II. I am sure you will wreck me. I guess that might be one of the reasons I am looking forward to SCII. I have not really done the RTS thing for some time.

I must have missed something... because I have no interest in Star Craft and have never played it before. I grew up with RTS' like Age of Empires and Populous: The Beginning so no I won't be getting it as I have no interest in the title.

i'd love to get SC2 on release, but Blazblue continuum shift is coming out at the same time and I'm gonna save up my money to import that first... got a tournament to train for :p

Naw, my comp isn't up to standard, and I feel like it won't be what we expected it to be. Plus by now, online isn't going to be alot of fun what with Koreans murderfying us all.
Contrary to popular belief, the online is segregated into 3 different regions (NA, Europe, and Asia). So you won't get massacred by Koreans. =P
Perhaps, but you never know, they could be like sharks and go looking for people they can wreck.
Well, probably but in my time in the beta, I've yet to see anyone that has gone out of their way to make themselves look like a bad player in order to trick B.net to place them in a lower level ladder.

won't be getting it, as to my knowledge, they will not be releasing it for the mac :(
Really? It was my understanding that they were. *looks*
Ah yes from their FAQ- "StarCraft II is being developed for Windows and Mac. We have no current plans to bring the game to any console platform."
Huh, I just checked wikipedia, and it is coming out. You sir, just made my day :D
Blizzard has always released every single one of their games for both Windows and Macs. Since... if not WC1, WC2 at the very least.

To everyone whining about the "three games" thing, I hope you're boycotting Mass Effect too. It's the same damn thing - a game planned as a trilogy from the outset.

You must really hate Star Wars and Lord of the Rings too. I mean, having to buy THREE movie tickets just to get one story? What the hell is that! Trilogies are evil!

I love RTS games, but I refuse to buy Starcraft 2.

I hate the whole 3 game system they're using and more specifically, the fact that you only get one campaign for each game.
This has a lot with me not getting it, as well as it being $60, Blizzard can go fuck themselves.
Did you buy WC3 or Diablo 2?

You know, Blizzard's previous $60 games?

I will not.
I borrowed Starcraft and its expansion (Brood War I think it was) and it really wasn't anything special for me. Yes, it probably did it first, whatever you may be thinking it did first; but I didn't play it first, so I felt done before and not done as well as other RTS games I have played. Like Red Alert 2, Total Annihilation, and Supreme Commander (not 2, there is no 2, only a shitty RTS with Supreme Commander units).

Overall, it felt mediocre at best and the Beta didn't really seem like that much of a change to make me reconsider this game.

I want to but I can't. My computer is 4 years old no way it'll be able to run Starcraft II.
actually SC2 should not be that hard to run, I played the beta on low graphics and got perfect frame rates and now slowdown, and im playing on a 2 year old laptop

It's just such a lame excuse.

Fine, don't like Battle.net 2.0. Don't like the lack of LAN support. Both of those are perfectly legitimate reasons.

But unless you boycott every trilogy ever made on principle, whining about it being three games (and three times as long as the first Starcraft) just makes you look puerile as hell.

I just hate how multiplayer is region encoded. That's right, if you want to play against your European friends you need to buy the European version of the game.

For me this is awful. I have lots of friends in the UK whom I play Dawn of War 2 with, and now we won't be able to play together.

Also, how in the hell are tournaments ever going to work? With chatrooms gone you will need everyones email address who you are going to play, then add them all to your battle.net account, make sure they all add you then all join a game together. It would be way easier for tournament play if you could just create a chatroom to meet in then say "here's the game, join up" and your players click the link.

This guy kind of nails all my problems with the current Bnet 2 ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-r_uCaFxg8&feature=fvst )

A trilogy is different from "Oh we could have it all as one, but instead we're going to take one story and cut it into three sections and sell them to you separately for no reason" Also, games cost more then a movie last I checked.
Yeah, it is.

Which is why you should be glad that SC2 is the first, and not the second. :)

And yes, they are more expensive. So can I assume you've been boycotting Mass Effect and Gears of War then? Or the Half-Life 2 episodes? Trilogies are bad!
