There are no good games on sale. None that I don't already own anyways. I'm sure something will pop up.

It is nice to read this thread and learn that some people are finally getting around to playing some really great games.

Now get off of the forums and play your new games damn it!!
Hey, maybe we're just killing time while we wait for our new games to download ;p
Good point.

It's been so long since I downloaded a new AAA game, I forgot about their file sizes.

*grumbles something about The Witcher and minimal requirements
With all these 12GB games, I'm wondering if I'm going to be able to download them all xD. /60GB limits.
I know. Downloading so much i am probably going to want to Defrag my Hard Drive after it is all done...

Most of the games I want have not dropped enough... Damn it Dead Rising 2 and just Cause 2! COST LESS DAMN YOU!

Damn you Metro 2033.
Also annoyed. I want civ 5 but it will take a too big a chunk of what is left in my Wallet...
The base version of Civ V is only $7.50, the Game of the Year edition is $12.50. I don't know why they used that image, but the $25 option is the whole shebang: Civ III, IV, V, and all DLC, not just Civ V.
I know this. It will still take over half of what is left in my Steam Wallet. and I wanna hold that for something else... It is a kick in the nuts is what it is...
Fair enough, I just wanted to make sure you knew it wasn't $25. It had me fooled at first -- I was thinking it was a Train Simulator situation where the DLC had gone out of control. For what it's worth, it was more than I wanted to spend too, although I wound up getting Civ III. $1.24 was just too cheap to pass up.
Yeah. I really do want Civ5 cause of how popular it is. But I doubt I would be good at it. Maybe if it was gifted I could get into it...

No room for Frozen Synapse (unless you already have it)? I'm saddened by the lack of people saying they bought it. That game is outstanding.
I bought the DLC if that means anything. Not actually played it yet though, just enjoyed the new music whilst playing some more online.

I've only bought Frozen Synapse: Red and Binding of Isaac: Wrath of the Lamb DLC for a whopping combined total of £1.88.
Pretty sure that's all I wanted really, got an immense backlog I honestly don't want even more games clogging it up, just more content for games that run on my laptop.

Okay, let's see how I lightened my wallet...

Might&Magic: Clash of Heroes 3,74? (gifted it)
Tropico 3 Gold 3,74? (gifted it)
Binding of Isaac Bundle 2,23?
The Bard's Tale 2,24?
Half-Life 2: Episode One 1,74?
Frozen Synapse: Complete Pack 3,49? (It seems Valve made a mistake and for just 15 minutes, Frozen Synapse was at -90% rather than -80%)

Copied my post from the other thread:

'I HIGHLY recommend buying Frozen Synapse now it's 80% off (and even when it's not). It has a long, well-written and fun singleplayer, a good, clear visual style and fantastic music. The best part is probably the multiplayer (online and hotseat), which is now enjoying a large boost in traffic due to the sale. It has a 87.77 score on gamerankings and won a shitload of 'best strategy/indie/pc game' awards, and it's only 4.59!'

EDIT:

Wait, what? Is anything wrong with the listed minimum requirements? I bought The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director's Cut (phew) thinking my crap pc could run it. I thought the specs were a bit suspiciously low. I haven't tested it yet, it's still downloading, but will my 1GB RAM, GeForce 7600 pc be able to run it?

That site lists the same minimum requirements as Steam does, and consequently tells me I can run it. But what is it what Sober Thal is refering to?

Frozen Synapse
The Binding of Issac

Speaking of which, you get two copies of Frozen Synapse when you buy it. So, if someone wants to take it off my hands for, I don't know, a DotA 2 beta key... ¬_¬

Naturally, I decided to buy Warhammer 40K Space Marine a few weeks ago when it was on sale on it's own with a few of the DLCs (dreadnought, armour sets, etc) for around $17AUD. Naturally today they're selling the entire collection for $15AUD. My fucking luck, right?

Anyway, I've bought:
Renegade Ops $5
Power Sword DLC 74c
L4D2 (gifted to my girlfriend) $5

Still got a lot of days left of sales too. I fear for my rent.

Sober Thai is mostly likely referring to the HDD Space required of the game. If you haven't check yet, it's massive. Looking at it right now, it's near 16 GB. Only game which I have that is even closer to that game is Batman: Arkham City with all of it's DLC and doodads.

Does anybody know which Painkiller I should buy, I remember hearing that one of them was amazing and any after were pretty trashy, if that's so I guess it was just the first game that was good?

Also Civ 4 is looking very tempting.

Painkiller: Black Edition is the game, (which is really good) all the others on steam are expansion packs. No idea about their quality though...
