Lock up your kids and hide the silverware, the steam summer sale is just set to start within the next week. Supposedly Valve is having the sale early so as to not interfere with a MOBA thing next month. The sale is set to start on the 19th and will run for two weeks.

While it is still unconfirmed, there have been multiple sources for it and after seeing how small the number of games in the weeklong deal announcement was today I thought I'd pass it along.

For discussion value: has moving up the date on the sale unannounced changed what you were going to spend this year?

I was expecting a stronger opening sale that this. 2 Early access games at 15% and 20% off? The Whitcher 2 that everyone and their mother has by now which also has been much cheaper multiple times before? Dead rising 3 which came out September of last year and shunned the PC crowd until now at only 25% off which brings it to $37.49 which is only 50 cents cheaper than a physical copy for the xbone at Walmart right now?

You think they would open with a stronger hand and save the weaker stuff for the middle of the sale.

Its a ploy, my plan is to collect those cards by voting 3 times per day (tweak that sleeping schedule a little), then only craft a badge (therefore contributing points, therefore giving you a chance), when you see your team in the lead and its nearing the end of the period. (still a gamble though, team might not win)

Of course this is all common sense... soo.. yeah
