Ew, DayZ for 15% off? Divinity: Original Sin for 20% off? Dead Rising 3 for 25% off?

These sales are pathetic and frankly insulting, Gaben.
none of dose games are even released yo
And?

They shouldn't be on sale if they aren't ready to be sold.

I hope this sale is not as depressing as the last one. So hard to find games I actually want to buy at this point. Everything I already own or am not interested in.

Ugh... Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion is now 80% off. I bought it two weeks ago...

I don't have any particular games in mind that I want so I'm not all that hyped up for this. I'll probably get a couple super cheap ones that peak my interest.

Please pirate that instead of actually paying money for it. Please don't give them actual money for that.
I do not pirate, it's against my nature to do so. Every game I LP, be it good or bad, is a legal copy that I've either purchased, or in the case of Shadow the Hedgehog, borrowed from my friends. Only reason I'm getting it on PC would be because it's crash more on the PS3 I think, and the Steam Sale has it for the cheapest price. :p
Hell, I've already bought a cartridge of Superman 64 and a disc for Aquaman Battle for Atlantis, so my gaming collection is already tainted.

Hey, whadyaknow? I can't log in to my Steam account because, once again, the brain-dead idiots running the sale didn't bother to do any prepwork in advance. Fucking morons.

I'm not bothering with the sale this year. I just want to play a video game or two, and I can't even do that right now. These dumb seasonal sales can go jump off a cliff.

I promised myself the other day that I will not spend a single cent this year. Not one cent!
And I intend to stick to that.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have a ridiculous backlog (over 500 games, no exaggeration) to get started on...

the witcher & witcher 2 sales will have me biting, as i must be one of the few who don't have it already. i'll probably get hotline miami too.

anyone have a guess as to what chance does witcher/witcher 2 have of being part of a flash sale?

They almost always sell these two games as a bundle for 4 or 5 bucks total. If you dont have the first one I would wait to see the bundle come along.

You can buy them separate right now for 6 bucks so its really if you want to save a dollar or two lol.

Hm...

Going to purchase XCOM for a friend, but otherwise I can't think of much that's Steam-exclusive that I'm too innarested in.

...Wish Ironclad Tactics would release a DRM free version already, but already I hear that's got the multiplayer stripped out.
Humble Bundle has Ironclad Tactics DRM free as of like 20 minutes ago, so, there you go.

Huh, didnae realise that was DRM free before. Though it doesn't seem as if the DLCs are, unless there's something I'm missing.

Wish I could justify buying it, but it'll have to wait :D

Day 1 and I have won the day because there was nothing I wanted that was on sale, hopefully this trend will continue and how there's a lack of anything I want, well there's my wishlist but it's not exactly massive so I'm not exactly hopeful about the sales either.

If anything I'm expecting more and more indie games and early access games getting sales than loads of AAA's.

About 8? with some old as fuck games at 75% off.

At this point its basicly about filling holes in my library, I mean, I do have the Delta Force games on my wishlist.

Nice! I've been enjoying GOG's Summer sale, scooping up a few of the games I've wanted on the cheap (and, better yet, DRM-free). A few of these are games I think I might tire of quickly, but I'd only be out $2.50 if that's the case. Hopefully I can net several more in a Steam sale that aren't available on GOG. ;)

Even if this turns out to be a rumor, thanks for the heads-up, OP!
GOG sales are the best and have the greatest sale gimmicks. And the 80-90% discounts are just glorious. 75% off on Steam?Pfft, GOG turn their discounts up to 11.

OT: I did have a "Steam sale fund" but that is now in PaddyPower's pocket, fucking world cup bull shit. So I haven't set myself a limit as such, I'll just pick up what looks nice. I think I've played everything that I want to play made in the past 10 years, so I don't think my wallet will be too hard done to.

i dont know, i like this contest gimmick, plus steam sometimes has 80%-90% sales, the first flash sale included hotline miami at 85%

i hope you guys picked it up btw, nice little game, flawed but still very entertaining

i guess they are worth $6. if they are as good as i've heard, it will be a great investment. now to find anything else to breach $10 (i did pick up hotline miami, so i'm close...).
