I'm sorry, but what the fuck is wrong with you? Did he ever personally hurt you? Did he ever cause someone's death or something?

Holy fuck, show some respect for the dead.
He was terrible to work with, most of the ideas actually came from Apple, and he never donated to charity (only recently learned this). The creator of Lisp, and the creator C have both passed away in the last month, and they accomplished far more than Steve Jobs. Wozniak was the main brain behind Apple, and he got screwed over by Jobs.

I don't think there's any need to show respect to the dead when they behave like he did.
He was a rich jerk... so he deserves a painful death? I'm not following your logic.

You, and especially that Mad Stalin douchebag, have a terrible attitude. A soul. Get one. Because basic human empathy is a pretty useful trait.

oh no he might've hurt the feelings of a corpse, how could he do such a thing?

OP: he found out god uses linux, he must've been piiiiissed.

Eh... Unlikely... that would have to mean that someone actually used linux.

Kidding, kidding. Sorry, couldn't resist.

Can't really wish death upon dead people as they have come down with something called...DEATH, however agreed that people should respect the dead all the same.

Methinks he saw a future where Apple ruled the world with an iron fist

Maybe he saw into the future and saw that people were speculating about why he would have chosen, "oh wow, oh wow, oh wow," as his last words?

my favorite part of that joke is you posted it on a website hosted on linux servers. ha :p
Well yeah, most companies and several websites run on linux servers, I meant for personal use.

Lets not forget the poor guy that jumped off of a 12 story building because he lost an iPhone prototype, the fact that he was held in solitary and had all of his property seized. That might not have been Jobs personally; however, Apple has a history of guarding their prototypes as if they were life and limb.

Again, in 2009 Apple came under fire for not paying its Chinese workers proper OT and paying some below Minimum Wage.

Lets not forget the entire fiasco with the lost iPhone prototype in America.

These might not be Jobs himself; however, as CEO he set the pace and steered this company in that direction. Unforgivable!!

I seem to have been misinterpreted, also was pretty tired and missed the whole "pain and agony" thing. I wouldn't wish that on anyone, but I am glad that Steve Jobs is no longer with us, simply because he was a very damaging influence on technology & generally not a nice guy.

No. But if you have the money to spare (read: billionaire) then it makes you incredibly selfish.

As above...I'm really tired and blanked out the agonising death part; wouldn't wish that on anyone. It's bad to be happy at someone dying, but not necessarily bad to be happy that they're no longer here. This isn't about the amount of money he had, it's about him treating employees terribly, and generally being arrogant as hell.

I don't see any reason to pretend that I liked the guy now that he's gone, and I think it's totally ok to point out his flaws, just like I did when he was alive. Again, apologies if my post was misconstrued.

I believe he is talking about how Steve Jobs shut down the entire philanthropic branch of Apple when he became CEO the second time, saying he would re-open it when Apple got back on it's feet. He never reopened it, despite being one of the richest corporations in the world.
He apparently also created one of the most oppressive job environments around, micromanaging everything and firing people if they even openly speculate about a new iPhone. 'Mad Stalin' may have been a bit strong, but Jobs was not a nice person to work with.

Well, it kinda depends on the tone of the words. I can see him with a suprised and excited look on his face, saying "Oh wow!" as the curtain of the afterlife peels away and he realizes that it's FREAKING AWESOME! I could also posit some slightly less positive scenarios as a result of a less excited tone, but this particular one makes me feel warm inside, so I'll stick with it.
