How dare you?koschei8 said:All realistic war-time shooters should die.
What, like 1 and 2? I mean sure they were realistic for their time compared to other shooters, but I wouldn't say that qualifies it to be called "realistic".Glademaster said:I was talking about the real CoD games and not spin offs.TomLikesGuitar said:Every game is realistic "to an extent"... the CoD series has always pushed these extents pretty far, and MW2 took realism and shat on it, covered it with honey, and put it in a beehive.Glademaster said:How did I prove your point? It was realistic to an extent. I never said it was reality to a tee I said it was vaguely realistic. The CoD series was also supposed to be semi realistic to a point where you need a certain degree of suspension of disbelief or atleast that is how it started. I never said it was Arma or Flashpoint.
Oh look, a 40 MM grenade just blew me up behind that wall... Not that BC2 is any more realistic in that aspect though.
Actually you didn't say anything really. You just insinuated that it was realistic by attacking a previous poster who was simply commenting that he, just like me, would not classify any of the CoD series as realistic shooters.I never said it was reality to a tee I said it was vaguely realistic.
Perhaps you're lumping in the military sci-fi shooters in with them, but the military shooters really aren't that huge of a problem. There's a few franchises (most jumping from WWII to modern warfare).koschei8 said:All realistic war-time shooters should die.
But are you saying you want all FPS war games to stop making FPS war games so that CoD is the only FPS war game and therefore good? And also, am I the only one sick of CoD turnaround time for new releases? I think alot of the CoD games got overlooked because another one was on the horizon already. At least the MoH people got some time to appreciate their game. (more than necessary but still.. ) Or are you saying that CoD is now in it's prime and that all subsequent releases will be clones? idk, sound like a fanboy to me. Anyway, whateverTaipan700 said:So who agrees? Is anyone else sick and tired of hearing about "COD killers" and just wish these bland imitations would stop so new first person shooters could just be good on their own merit, or is it actually possible to knock COD off its perch with a new title? (That would be, off its perch in its prime, not when it starts releasing endless successions of clones after MW3.)
Agreed.Pirate Kitty said:Yes, because Call of Duty is a flawless game that cannot be improved upon and came up with all of its concepts itself - of which all other games with similar styles are obviously copying from.
-_-
No. Just no.
Okay, first off all you described MW2 with the broken, unfocused, and badly told part. Secondly games aren't all about set pieces. MW2 was only about set pieces and that's one of the reason that made the single-player bad. Medal of Honor takes place in real world settings and is based on real world events. Sorry.Taipan700 said:the story was broken and unfocused and badly told, and the set pieces made me yawn.
It's not that bad, plus you can find servers that limit the amount of snipers. When I played MW2 i found much more campers and snipers than I do in BC2.x0ny said:Haven't played it myself, but I heard 99% of players are snipers. I must be misinformed.Dr_Steve_Brule said:Bad Company 2?
NO MORE CAMPING.
You don't like them because you hate them..? And let me guess, you love CoD because you like it?Z3r0H0urs said:To me, I dont like Bad company, Killzone 2, and MoH because for me, I hate them, but thats just my opinion.
