The game Breakdown for PS2 might be a good play for the majority of you guys with obsessive compulsive reloading disorder. If you reload a clip that's half full, you dont instantly consolidate that ammo into the master-in-pile. It stays as a half clip somewhere at the end of your bag of extra ammo. Dying enough times because your next reload only has 3 rounds is a sure fire way to break the habit.

When I play Jak & Daxter, I always go to the Forbidden Jungle, climb up the tower, and stare at the surroundings, it's very beautiful to look at, especially when the sun is rising.

I always try to end a match in a fighting game with a super move. This has led to several losses on my part.

After every mission in Psychonauts, I run around the camp and see if I can listen to some one-time dialogue.

Well, I "borrowed" the Arms dealer's Jeep from outside of the Weapons shop in Far Cry 2 and after the mission I went to great pains to park it exactly where it had been before as if he might come out and realize that I had taken it. After I had maneuvered it back and forth for some time, taking special care not to scratch the paintwork, it suddenly dawned on me how unnecessary all of this was. I felt rather silly...

Far Cry 2 is really immersive.

in RPGs i have the habit of taking a character who has a hat, a moustache and dual-wields axes.

Also that "But I might need it later" syndrome

I've got that damned itchy trigger finger in FPS games.
Also, if I have an odd number of bullets in my gun, I will ALWAYS fire off one extra shot and reload just to make it even, I don't know why, I just have to.

I too also go for the hours in the character creation screen approach, everything has to be right, ideally, I want my character to look as close to me as possible, if not, as cool as possible.

Oh yeah, another little thing in an FPS game, if I'm sniping, and I then miss a shot I take at someone, I will religiously hunt that person down and kill them time and time again until I feel fulfilled. >_>

Something I do in games and real life I never spend all my money, I always have a certain amount no matter how much I need to spend it, I do this in RPGs, RTSs even games like FIFA.

I also have that one Yatzee described, the "but I might need it later" one.
I feel ya there. I always seem to keep my best stuff in reserve for some massive OMFG fight hyper-boss battle... only to find out there isnt one.

Although sometimes it works both ways, if I force myself to use my good stuff early or just somewhere where I didn't really have to use it, I inevitably find someplace 20 feet away where it would be better suited/more efficient or the like. lol

also another rather odd gaming compulsion... i did burn my companion cube. shock horror dudes! ...don't hurt me i'm new.
There was a way to avoid burning the companion cube :O NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, IT WAS ALL FOR NOTHING!!!!

Anyway, I can relate to quite a few of the compulsions mentioned, mainly the one's where you will never use a rare item, and will reload after every kill... even if there are like 20 people in the room, and uve killed one... not good on cs.

Preach! I do the exact same thing when I play rpg's. Meticulous character creation is why I love playing rpg's in the first place.

I got the comet in GTA IV, and I was afraid to use it since I might have lost it. Then I took it out, and found 5 others, and now I take one whenever I do a mission.

I have this 'that must be the right way, so lets go EVERY other way first' problem. Started in final fantasy games, kills in anything sandbox.
