Do you really think he did this because he thought Friendship is Magic needed to be brought down a notch because of its inaccurate physics? Of course not! It was an assignment. I assume the brief went like this "Create a five to ten minute presentation on physical impossibilities in one of your favourite shows/movies."Caramel Frappe said:What really annoys me is that on Youtube people praise this guy for his research based off the show. Why doesn't he look into some other shows as well or Anime for that matter? So many things, including realistic movies, do things that aren't accurate to science but yet makes it stand out. If we have limitations on all our animations, then we'd get really board pretty fast or lack interest into it anymore.
I could be just overthinking this, but really you need to prove to people that Rainbow Dash has done her Sonic Rainboom wrong? Again, it annoys me plus the things he says like, "Alright, so a show for little girls called My Little Pony-" right at the start he claims that little girls see it but really Faust as stated that the show is for kids and adults (mainly families) so yeah, he pretty much gets a B- for his presentation spite his bravery to display this in front of his class.
I assume that this was to- No, let me remove the assumptions and ask a teacher why they did this
Now back on point, the task wasn't done for funsies, it was done for a school project, and he chose Friendship is Magic because he enjoyed it and wanted to have fun with the task, while simultaneously exposing his physics class to the show.NAME REMOVED said:The aim of this exercise would be to make the subject relevant. A major issue with education nowadays is that students don't pay attention to subjects because they don't feel they have any bearing on their lives, which is why practical subjects are so often more popular. Maths suffers a lot from this because "It's just numbers" and a lot of the syllabus is just numbers that you can't or won't use in later life unless you do A-level or degree level maths.
Making subjects relevant is one of the most important things you can do in your classroom.
Stop! I'll do anything, pony! I- I mean Cap'n Evey.Quaxar said:-Snip-
