I'm sick of having to pay ludicrous premiums on everything just because I live in Australia. Surely the cost of shipping something out here isn't enough to justify doubling the price of items? And! This paying of extra extends to digital goods, which cost a big bucket of fuck-all to ship worldwide. And don't you dare wheel out the "but your wages are higher" argument. Just because I earn more doesn't mean I should be charged more. Last time I checked Richard Branson wasn't being charged $5,000 for a loaf of bread just because he earns lots of money.

Yeah sure I can just import, but the point is I shouldn't have to. I shouldn't have to look overseas for better prices. Shit, has anyone else realised how absurd that is? That it's actually cheaper for me to buy something overseas and have it sent halfway across the goddamn planet, than it is for me to go to the shops 10 minutes from my house and buy it there instead. That is fucked up.

It's why I buy all my games from OzGameshop, if local retailers don't want my money then fine, the UK can have it. All the money I save thought goes to the ridiculously overpriced DLC and the Yanks complain about DLC, we pay twice as much as they do.

I've got a few things.

I'm fed up of that "I have no games" feeling. Y'know what I mean. It's been a hard day, and you feel like playing a game. But what? There's a specific feeling you're looking for, and none of the games you have satisfy it. You sit there for ages, on xbox live or simply in your room, waiting for the urge to play a game to turn into an urge to play a specific game. It's really annoying when I feel like playing, say, a pirate action game, with swordplay, free roaming, and cool ship battles. That game doesn't exist, though, not on any console I have, and probably not for a long time.

funny, its complete opposite for me. i come home after a day at work AND unviersity having 1-2 hours of time for gaming, and i need to pick from 20 games i want to play, and so i spend half the time deciding which i want to play more. its so annoying. why can i have focus like those professional gamers, play one game for 8 years without looking at others. oh wait i did that once till it went too far.
as for games that dont exist there are also controled dreaming for it. but yeah if i could make games with my minds power we would have awesome games.

I'm fed up of the food I like costing so much. Honestly, I have no justification for this. I'm just fed up with the fact that the food I take particular liking to seems higher in price than other people's favourites.

since i think ALL food costs much it really isnt much to be fed up for for me, but yeah i get what you mean. luckily for me i like one of the cheapest foods a lot - pasta.

I have to agree, this happens to me all the time. actually i play many games in windowed mode jsut to avoid IM crashes.

well, to be fair, a EU politician accidentaly voted for his colegue sitting nearby - he decided to apoligize by quitting. a US politician deliberaly voted for 7 others trying to psuh his opinion - his pay was cut by 30% and he does not even believe he was guilty.
jut wanted to ilustrate WHY all the hate is there. i agree that politicians are dicks everywhere, but its how they react afterwards that make people go up in arms.

Add in something like a commentary on the difficulties of starting a homosexual relationship in a hetero-normative society, or do some dramatic bullshit of having one of the girls unsure of her sexuality and going off from there. Hell, just do a lesbian relationship 'just cause' but don't show any fanservicy bullshit - just have 'em in there as a couple characters who are in a relationship, no big song or dance about it!

Just something that isn't 'KNOW WHAT'S BETTER THAN TWO TITS? FOUR!!!!!!!' Will be refreshing to see.

(PS: If your solution to this is to instead have a lesbian alien race that have 4 tits instead of two, I will physically assault you then take your mother out for a nice dinner and NEVER CALL HER AGAIN.)

I actually partially disagree partially agree. While I do think it is stupid just to have lesbian couples just to ogle breasts I personally am tired of reading about the struggles of being gay. I just for once wish we could have a story where if there is a black person or a gay person etc where we can just have them be all those things without the sob story. Why can't they just be gay and that be that, no sad back story of prejudice just a character who happens to be gay and it doesn't need to be a spectacle same goes with being black or a woman.

I think these are the reasons sexism and racism etc still continue (partially). We just can't have characters be treated normal it always has to be a deal. When little kids read these things all the time it causes grouping they learn to think of these groups differently instead of fluffing it off like it is a everyday thing.

Number one...The Australian internet...why does it suck so much.
Number two...Everyone hating on everything. For example in the off-topic Let's Plays threads which hate on commentators...I think we have hate on the internet to create hell itself.
Number three...me not finding a nice girl which I can actually like.
Number four...people forcing me to do stuff. Another example is me being a Christian and that I haven't gone to Church in weeks. Now I have messages and missed calls from a Prist telling me to go. >.<

In fact, if anyone's picky it's the employers. Since I've applied for positions, and been turned down, only to find the exact same position re-advertised again a short time later.
So whoever that employer is, they obviously just didn't like the selection of applicants, and decided to turn down everyone and re-advertise the position again (or that's my theory anyway).

The job market sucks and it's hard to get a job unless you have experience and you can't get experience if you can't get a job.

I actually read something related to this not too long ago. Employers often advertise positions a second time because there weren't enough applicants the first time around. This was an article about how the amount of people applying for a position as a principal in a few schools were too low. There were only 2 applicants for one of the positions. Now I am no mathematician here, but aren't two applicants twice as many as you need to fill the position?

I can understand that they want several applicants in order to pick the best, but what if the best applicant is the only applicant? It annoys me to no end. I'm sick of this vicious cycle of no experience>no job>no experience.

Ah....I know that feeling. When I first came out of college was right when the recession hit. Applied to literally hundreds of jobs. It got to be that I was going to need to take a SECOND job just to AFFORD to go to job interviews across the country.

Yeah, I was paying rent for my apartment, having no income, surviving only on savings accumulated over the years and having to pay for plane tickets in order to get to a job interview as soon as possible. The interview went great, I managed to make a good first impression and keep it up throughout the interview. Lack of experience made me lose the job to the only other participant there was. Out of two suited applicants I lost. The end result was that I had even less money. At that point I realized I should just minimize my expenses and give up on looking for a job until after my education is done. I know they are screaming for more people in my field so hopefully things will get better once that happens.

History has taught me that every country has its moments of pure stupidity in its ruling class that make future generations weep in sorrow...and I'm tired of waiting for that moment to pass.

Also, as far as I'm concerned, very few moments in American politics can top what's going on now. Even McCarthyism was a shorter period of stupid. But this, this is just....why?!

I'm fed up with getting the crappy overnight shifts at work. A couple weeks they said, yet here it is 3 months later and I'm still doing them with no end in sight. Not to mention how lazy everyone else is and leaves me with heaps to do.

I'm also fed up with all my friends bickering and needing to get wasted every weekend. I thought that crap was supposed to stop once high school was over. I think I might just become a hermit, it's much easier and you don't get disappointed.

I understand. I didn't mean to come off as too abrasive, it's just like it seems that whenever someone is corrupt/very stupid, people just chalk it off as, "Oh, well they're American, so it makes sense." You do have a point though. It seems like whenever someone here does do something really corrupt/stupid, they do tend to push it a little further than the rest of the world.

Alas, not as many sleazy webcomics as you'd think doing the fanservice thing (It's surprisingly hard to do fanservice in a sleazy comic, considering... well, everyone's usually naked anyway).
Magickchicks is a good example of the 'lesbians for fanservice rather than point/just cause' - it's an all-girls school, and basically the entire population save 4 are lesbians (1 of those 4 is bi and the other is possibly a lesbian too, so... yeah).
