Personal: I hate my job, but don't have any real idea of what I do want to have as a career.

General: "The games/nerds/geeks industry/community is sexist". No, society in general contains sexism, and gaming is simply not excluded from that. Gaming/nerds/geeks are no more or no less sexist than society as a whole. It's just that the vocal minority make it seem much worse than it is.

Saying that it is sexist is akin to saying the Muslim community are terrorists or that America is racist. All three of them are simply a vocal minority who people pay attention to, as the vast majority of people are not the kind to get noticed as they just get on with their lives as normal people.

There is something I'm fed up with actually. It is people who equate being German and being a Nazi. Yes, I'm German, yes, I have a German Eagle and Flag on my arm. I'm very proud of my heritage and who I am. But living in Texas means that if anyone sees it, I get rushed with dozens of questions about how does it feel to support Nazis and ignorant stupid shit like that. Seriously shut up about that crap!
Well, seeing as it's meaning is not explained to someone outside of Germany (unless you do research), that's what most people will assume, since the Nazis was the last time the general public (ouside of Germany) got to see the Eagle. You can't try and act confused and innocent when people ask you those things, since it's obvious a lot of people will. It's like wearing a buddhist swastika on your arm. Even though you know it's got nothing to do with nazis (The nazi swastika is turned the other way around) you still have to assume that some people don't know that, or realise what it is at a quick glance.

OT: My bad spending habbits. I'm saving for a PC, but I've been stuck on 5k SEK (Around 540$) for ages, and I need at least 9k for the computer I want.

Angry nerd dudes with lady issues.
You know, the kind where you can feel their bitterness in every word and everything is about how the world scorns their boner. Yawn. /flameshield up.

Also fed up with technology breaking all the time. Laptop is currently broken, having to use boyfriend's computer and the Xbox decided to be dramatic this morning and crash a few times. It's fine now, but for how long is anybody's guess.

Ah, I totally hate those guys t-OHMIGODIT'SMEISN'TIT!?

I was worried it'd come across a little like that. I don't have anything against feminism, I'm for equality, hell, if females have an equal chance at becoming politicians, it may increase the chance that we may someday end up with a prime minister/president who isn't either stupid or just an intentional prick.

It just feels like anytime feminism comes up, it's shouting at me. It's like "The man seeks to harass women to satisfy his primal idiot cravings. YES YOU, MUTHAFUCKA. GO APPLY YOUR PENIS TO AN OVEN HOB YOU PIG." Maybe it's the problem I always have that if a piece of criticism about a group applies even slightly to me, I take it as if it was fully aimed at me, but that's how it feels.

But I am bitter. Come on, at least let me have that.

And angry. And a nerd dude. Well shit, that paints me as a pathetic lifeform, I'm going to go cry myself to sleep.

Lol, I didn't mean you.
I've had the unfortunate experience to have been gaming with such people, who can't stop bitching about their exes, who want to talk about how gaming is their space and my female voice totally ruins it and the whole alpha/beta and how dating is a game stacked against them and it goes on and on til I wanna puke up my lungs.
Don't get me wrong, I have sympathy for guys who struggle with that sort of thing, but there's a point where you kinda know they're just bitching about it without even attempting to make anything better.

As for feminism shouting at you, obviously it's not a monolith and all that and there's always people who will go mental about it. It's kinda been used as a big boogeyman recently, imo. But I wish for nobody to be putting any dicks in the oven. That's just gross.

I'm fed up with the job market, personally. I'm almost twenty three years old and I've never had a job, but not for lack of trying. I'm going to be out on the street at some point next year if I don't find a job but whether or not I can find one isn't exactly something I have control over.
Other than that, the only other thing I'm annoyed with is people in general- specifically, how they seem to overreact to absolutely everything. I'm not American myself but I've heard there's some pretty silly stuff going on over there right now involving politics. Or something.
But that stuff is easy to ignore.

There is a difference between using a symbol that was once used by the Nazis, and having an eagle that is on the flag 50% of the time even today. I do give it a bit of leeway, some people may not know, but it's gone past that, and not just because they see my tattoo.

I'm tired of those doors with the knob in the centre. Bag End may have gotten away with it, but the rest should be ripped out of their frames and used in novelty raft races.

Ah yes, I know about this problem. One of my friends got a buddhist swastika painted on his forehead at a school event and then afew minutes later the schools security guard came over and said he had to wash it off because thier had been complaints he was wearing a "Swastika" (as in Nazis). Needless to say, my friend was pissed.

The thing I have always found ironic is that the Buddhist swastika means "Peace". The Nazis flipped it backward. What is the opposite of "Peace"?

I want some rationality back in my government and it bothers highly me that it won't happen. Fucking politics. Why did I pick you as my minor?!
There was at one point rationality in politics?
No, that's impossible.
History has taught me that every country has its moments of pure stupidity in its ruling class that make future generations weep in sorrow...and I'm tired of waiting for that moment to pass.

Also, as far as I'm concerned, very few moments in American politics can top what's going on now. Even McCarthyism was a shorter period of stupid. But this, this is just....why?!
Because one side is a perpetual motion crazy machine, and the other side doesn't have the balls to put them in their place.
Everything could have been fine if people elected Hillary, she has balls to spare. (Metaphorical balls of course, I do not claim to have checked for physical ones.)

At least stories about the struggles of being gay is far more substantial than multi-breast fanservice. Though I'd love to know what webcomics you've been reading to make you tired of it - on the 80-100+ webcomics I go through, I've encountered maybe... 6 that do the 'Gay challenge' while a good majority of the rest either have no relationships in them or play the gay relationship straight (then there's the 20 odd that do the 'quad-tits = victory' thing, but I don't talk much about them).

Your point about them being the reason sexism/racism/etc still continue (partially) is certainly... strange. I'd definitely question children reading these things (Unless there's a big section of webcomics aimed at children that I've missed in my adult/NSFW corner), but that's mainly because any comic I've read dealing with homosexuality has been... well, either an Adult comic or NSFW. But, onto the actual point - pointing out or commenting on an issue that no longer exists is usually a good way to suddenly make it a problem again. Sexism, racism and anti-homossexual behaviour, however, is still quite prominent, so pointing it out and commenting on it serves more to enlighten readers that it's still an issue - most comics that deal with these issues aim for the point of 'We're still people, so don't treat us like wankers'.

The grouping idea I utterly disagree with though - I grew up with a whole lot of stuff which basically said 'These people are gay/black/women/trans, here's how they struggled in the world', but it didn't teach me to treat them any differently. If the point of anything I watched while I was young was 'These guys are different and therefore less than people', then that story would be different, but the one I did experience just taught me that there is a problem in the world and that I shouldn't treat other groups as less-than-human because they're different.
I guess off the bat I will just say thanks for replying respectfully also I wasn't talking about webcomics so much (I don't read to many of them to be honest) but more media in general or as a whole.

I guess for different people it effects them differently but I know for me growing up I never really thought of people in groups. I never saw people on street as a black guy or asian guy or white guy everyone was just people. If it was relivent obviously I knew a person was black but it wasn't anymore of a feature to me than the clothes they were wearing. It wasn't until I got into school for a few years that I started getting blasted with all the anti racism/sexism etc speeches and sure it made me more aware of these things in the world but at the same time it took away my innocence in a way it forced me to look at people in these groups rather than them just being people. I have sat through so many anti prejudice speeches that I can't just relax around people all the time anymore I always have to be extra careful of what I say when the thought wouldn't have ever even occurred to me before. It doesn't help that people break out the prejudice card over the most ridiculous things sometimes.

This is what I meant by it pushes grouping. It isn't necessarily in the negative way but we really shouldn't be grouping people at all to begin with. I think it is important to have these speeches if prejudice is a common going on in your area but why break a kids innocence when nobody was even thinking like this to begin with.

I personally just feel that this is the sorta thing that will only go away when we stop grouping people together whether it be for good or negative reasons.

Also sorry if this sorta spilled over to a new issue all together they are just related because they are prevalent types of prejudice.

I?m fed up with adolescence, because fuck the person who said they?re meant to be the best years of my life. The past four years have been a hormonal rollercoaster of bullying and stress, coupled with a rapid loss of my closest friends.

I?m fed up with the fact that I have to take a piss every two hours because of my bladder being affected by generalized anxiety and my low stress tolerance.

I?m fed up with the fact that I?m falling behind on my essays, and I don?t know how I?m going to continue to keep up or even pass my exams in January.

I?m fed up of feeling borderline retarded and inexperienced at so many things that my 16 and 17-year-old peers have already figured out by now.

I'm fed up of life and the world in general.

The job market. It fucking sucks.

This.

Employment is officially a random role of the die. I'm about to apply to my 15th job in a row since summer.

My hopes are not high. I try to walk into each application with confidence, but I have none. I just can't fake optimism at this point. No one WANTS to hire at this point, which is economic suicide. I keep seeing businesses shut down while they refuse to HIRE ANYONE.

And yes, it's entirely their fault. Most bosses are sadistic, paranoid, xenophobic and self-destructive nowadays. They operate with the behavior of a person contemplating a violent outbreak followed by suicide, rather than a job creator.
