Having long hair and watching Star Trek mainly. Some other small things but those are the main two.

I was walking home yesterday and I saw a trail of blood leading up the road. I pointed at it and said to my friend "Is that blood? I think that's blood!"

A woman walking towards us immediately stopped in her tracks, stared at the floor, and muttered at me (in what I would describe as a 'posh' voice) "lower-class shit..."

I was literally speechless. I didn't know what to say until a long time after she'd passed us by. The stuck-up whore! The worst part is, I have no idea what it was about my appearance or behaviour that could have drawn her to this conclusion. I was in school uniform, so it wasn't my clothes. My hair's not particularly outrageous. My voice, whilst definitely Yorkshire-sounding, is neither common nor rough. Apparently she just drew this judgment out of thin air. I guess some people are just like that.

Graaar. It makes me angry.
I have to ask; why didn't you stop her and ask?

Being a high-schooler who does have to spend the majority of his time in uniform I can sympathasize, but I seriously would have stopped this women and ask what her problem was...

I know what you mean. I have a Yorkshire accent and people tend to see me as some lower class hooligan or something, but I am fairly well spoken, and I try to be polite. The last time someone called me "working class scum" I called them out on it. It was rather fun watching them trying to stutter and stammer their way out of it. It was even funnier when my friend shows up, as he is 6'5 and plays American football. The person who insulted me made a rather quick getaway when they saw him.

It still bothers me that people make a snap judgement about me through my accent.

I got called a 'womanizer' from guys at the local game store because I ran into two real good female friends of mine, one after the other in about a `10 minute span, and gave them both a kiss. no tongue. the lady at the counter in Gamestop shook her head and said she can't stand a 'womanizer' and I didn't sleep with them that night.. (but a few nights later)

I get a regular dose of grief from my older brother and some friends for not drinking or smoking. Just yesterday a friend tried to get me to go to a bar so he could buy me a drink for my birthday.

Long hair
My odd sense of fashion, this being suits, waist coats and bowler hats (unless I cycle to college, then I don't)

I play DND / trying to get back into larping.

Oh yeah, I'm a furry. That normally puts people off, even when they've known me for a good few weeks.

Something like that occurs regularly on this site. I am a console gamer, so I must be a stupid idiot because my controls aren't more complicated than the periodic table of elements and I am also apparently contributing to the downfall of the industry by playing on my wretched box with my controller for idiots. At least, this is how some (NOT ALL) PC gamers see me.

I don't understand the taboo that so many people have with alcohol, not drinking it doesn't make you a better person.

But I don't know you and this is a thread about stupid prejudice so:
Why not?

I think good homebrew tastes like sex. Or magic, one or the other.

OP: I am 6'5, 265lbs of muscle and everyone thinks I am a lumbering meat head, until they speak to me and quickly realize I am dramatically smarter than they are. I am actually highly educated and have a very good vocabulary. I am also a huge computer nerd. Fun mix huh?

Well I've had some other teenagers scoff at me for:

not wanting to ever get a tattoo or piercing.
Not wanting to waste my saturday night by going to some party to watch people act like idiots
not trying this Bloody Mary mix someone sneaked into school in a water bottle
thinking like an individual :O
refusing to join some people to smoke weed

Frankly, I don't need to mutilate my body, I don't care for parties, I can wait 5 years to drink some alcohol, and I don't need weed, my life is fine without it.
By saying people act like idiots at parties your descending to the same kind of pointless prejudice that you're complaining about receiving..

The only thing I can think of is that I'm a huge metal head and amongst all the heavy metal I also listen to B.B. King, Kíla and Imelda May. Even though they're all awesome in their own way

My glasses of course! Most of the slack jawed mouth breathers from high school, always called me a nerd. I honestly have no idea where they got this idea from. I mean seriously... I need them to see, I don't wear of for the hell of it.

My furious, manly attitude and casual homophobia. I make a terrible gay, but here I am, four years in a relationship and never anything more heterosexual than one kiss.

Well, for starters...
I have constant dark spots under my eyes, and since I have them weather I'm tired or not, people have assumed I'm wearing make-up.
I pretty much wear hooded Sweaters and sweat pants 99% of the time.
I like to listen to Metal.
I'm non religious and all of these things added up has lead people to assume I'm "Punk" or something...
...although I do admit my face does have a default look of uncaring and contempt. I'm usually quite gleeful...
As for the others...
For my height, way I speak, voice and facial hair (which I have bragged about so much to my friends that I've made their ears bleed) I'm often assumed to be a couple or few years older than I actually am... not that that's a bad or insulting thing.
I don't bother with shoes with laces as they take to long to tie up and instead wear shoes that use different methods of tightening such as velcro and people tend to assume this makes me an idiot... because I want to be able to have shoes that I can put on more quickly?
For my accent, it's been assumed that I'm not Canadian born even though I am (if I hear someone say I sound like Harry Potter one more time...) although I suppose that one is kind of my fault for being... vaguely English sounding? And then there are the people who think I'm doing this on purpose...
For my looks I'm often assumed to be psychotic or insane or something similar... although there might be a very slight truth to those assumptions...

Now for ones that are more ones which you may encounter on teh interwebs... For my favourite Video Game genre being shooters this has made people assume that that's the only kind of game I like and that I do nothing but shout your mom jokes and "******" at people when playing.

Although still, I suppose most of these assumptions I can understand when they're based on just first look, but when people still think these things about me despite me telling them specifically otherwise and sometimes even demonstrating that they're wrong... then I get a tad ticked. /massive_complaining_and_ranting_session
It would be apparent that I am clearly the most whiny person of all time

Well... I am a LARPer.

Need I say more?
I hope you don't mind me asking, but out of curiosity, what do you usually do when you LARP?
I know what it is, but I mean like what kind of scenarios are most commonly done? Battle reenactments? Murder mysteries? Something else? I'm curious!

You wouldn't say that if you knew most of the people at my school.

Edit: I didn't exactly say what I was thinking I was trying to say. The people who asked me are generally well known to be idiots. They make all d's and c's, they constantly mock people, and I really don't like them. I knew a few of them pretty well, so I'm not judging blindly here.

I once was introducing myself to some girl, and when she asked what I do for fun I said "I play video games" and IMMEDIATELY she says "Oh, you're one of those..."

I could only respond with "Uh... what is that supposed to mean?" as indignantly as I could. I knew she didn't mean anything offensive by it, but it was great fun to watch her backpedal.

And I don't really think there's anything wrong with judging people as long as you get your facts straight. A person who say... participates in murder, rape, or animal cruelty is a horrible human being despite how well they do at sports. Not that I have anyone in particular in mind when I say that. *whistles to self*

The most recent thing I was judged on was the fact that I like to listen to awesome game soundtracks, thats about it.
I can honestly say that I hardly get judged at my school based on the fact my year is just generally wierd.Of course, I still get judged sometimes.
