It's unfortunate since I absolutely love this game, but I'd have to go with the taser from Syphon Filter.

The aesthetic is there, but it's not practical when dealing with multiple enemies. Notice the ARMOR bar disappear after an encounter with 6 enemies. Now the knife from SP 2 on the other hand...talk about game over.

For everyone there is a weapon that you think is stupid and never should have been put in a particular game or in some cases ANY game. What's yours???

Any reason, overpowered, completely useless, or simply annoying.

For me: Chainsaws
I've always hated these loud, annoying things being used as weapons. I hate the sound, and if there is any kind of co-op multiplayer you can bet there's going to be someone that ALWAYS steps into your line of fire to run up to enemies screaming "LOL! I haz chainsawz!"
Have you ever used one in real life? It's so fun... *BRRUUMM A NUMMMA NUMM BRAAMMMA NNUMMA NUM NUM* and then the tree splits in half. I don't whats cooler, killing the tree (I only go for downed ones as I don't have any anti-get squished by tree equipment) or then heating your house with it's corpse.

For me, Tanks, if they count. If not, tank cannons.

One person can drive, shoot, and dominate, but a group of people is needed to take one down. And unless the game has destructible environments, they aren't fun to drive.
I have used one in real life, and I find them messy, and very noisy. I hate the noise they make both IRL and in games.

The RPG-7 in S.T.A.L.K.E.R Shadow of Chernobyl.

Let's see:
-Enemies with it have unlimited ammo.
-Said enemies tend to have sniper accuracy when using the goddamn thing.
-You can find the thing on like two places yourself, and ammo is among the rarest in the game.
-It is extraordinary lethal (obviously).

That's an interesting fact, but my judgment stands. And for one reason: The grip.

That grip would snap your wrist like a twig.

Onething to note is that that picture is the villain's one which is admittedly impossible. The hero's one is more practical though.
Yeah, I don't see too much of a problem with Squall's.
Aside from the obvious - where he stores it (And no, I don't mean in that locker, I mean when he's off in battle,) but I digress.

Any automatic weapon that kills in 1-2 shots(Other than headshots)in a game, fair enough If you hit me with a m95 sniper and instant kill me on a bodyshot on BF:BC2 you took some time to line up a shot and now you have to cycle the next round but some random medic running around with a m60 lmg spraying the entire time managing to score 6 kills gets old, especially when the ENTIRE enemy team does it

/end rage

The grenade launcher, period. Overpowered and easy to use its the bane of nearly all CoD/Modern warfare games
But NOT in Aliens vs. Predator 2.
That grenade launcher was great fun, not overpowered either.

On-topic, I'll go with the Gunblade.

Or the Instant Divide By Zero button.
In some high-level mathematics scenarios, dividing by zero is possible. But what IS impossible is explaning magnets to juggalos.
Dare i ask "What is a juggalo?".
OT: A f-ing boomerang cause when those connect they dont ever comeback. And when they are coming back you gotta run for it. Hope what is wrong with you? at least your eidolon was pretty awesome though.
A fan of the group "Insane Clown Posse" in one of their songs they express their confusion about how magnets work and define them as a miracle.

Alright then...

To prevent more irritable dispute of stuff like I saw on the first page alone, let us simply say that I agree that the FF8 Gunblade is a piece of crap (you know, like the game it's in).

Other weapons that should never have been made that are in Final Fantasy would be...the Excalipur (FF5), the instant-death sword that NEVER kills the undead (FF6), and (stretching the term a little) Ultima and Omega Weapon (FF8).

There's also a number of weapons in Persona 3 and 4 with an accuracy count of 50%. Really? I don't think so. You're getting sold, sucka'!

While I'm at it, I think the Demi-Fiend in SMT: Nocturne could've USED a weapon at some point in the game, so I guess I'm attacking the weapon of NO weapon, since he wasn't exactly Bruce Lee.

Magikarp. Or Splash. Totally useless on it's own as a pokemon. Also it was the only attack in Pokemon R/B/Y that did nothing. At all. Ever. No matter what. On purpose.

The spartan laser seems pretty bad for a military to use. It has to charge up and only has five shots. The only real advantage it has is that it is a one hit kill weapon. I never really cared for the rocket launcher in Halo either. The least they could have done was make it so that it went after enemies.

The knife in the Resident Evil games. You have to slash them about 10 times to kill them, by which point they've bitten you about 3 times. You can avoid getting bitten, but this means taking one swipe, stepping back a bit, and repeating, and hope you haven't been pushed into a corner.

S.T.A.R.S. are supposed to be the elite, right? Why can't they just jam the things in a zombie's head and make it explode, scanners style?

Oddly enough, the Sawn off shotgun from S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of Pripyat. Mainly because the same game has a hunting shotgun in it.
Basically, the Hunting shotgun has better stats in everything except handling which it is slightly worse that, carries the same amount of ammo, and uses the same type of ammo. The sawn off just seems a bit worthless compared to the hunting shotgun.
The sawed off shotgun in STALKER has always sucked. Nothing new, I mean, you get it at the very beginning of the game in Shadow of Chernobyl. I mean, it even makes the NPCs using it look like idiots with there wrists that look like they had to twist around a few times to grab the gun.

Nukes. Oh in games?

Anything from the FPS South Park game...Cow Launcher? Piss-soaked snowballs? Exploding fart dolls? Insanity!
