Cool it's back, i'll submit my sheet by tomorrow.

Edit: Are psionics out of the question? Or can the powers only be arcane?
I sure hope they aren't, considering my character has telekinesis and pyrokinesis.

I guess I'll do critiques then, as I see a few mistakes.

Name: William Hale

Gender: Male

Division: D3

Appearance:
I'm too lazy to color it or draw more, so fairly pale skin, and usually a dark blue jacket, a t-shirt, and a pair of dark jeans. He's lightly built, and 175 cm/5'9" tall.

Gear/Powers: William's primary power is telekinesis, although he is also capable of limited pyrokinesis. Both have limited range and while his pyrokinesis can ignite or melt some substances, he cannot throw fireballs. It basically is raising the temperature in most cases. His telekinesis does work on living targets, and if he loses control in a tense situation he might lash out with his powers accidentally, accidentally crushing something of flinging it in a random direction. It should be noted that the telekinesis firstly work on instinct, and according to emotions like anger and fear.
As for gear, he's not carrying anything except for whatever is standard for the division. It should be noted that he strongly dislikes guns.

Personality: Due to the troublesome nature of his telekinesis, there is a need to concentrate on it. It's comparable to listning to music, as it happens naturally but still takes away some of his attention. He is distant and is said to seem sleepy. His emotions are often shown through words and actions than body language. Usually, he is frank and does not hide his dislike for something. When talking to him, he sounds as if he's not paying attention at times, but he'll answer if asked a question. He is stubborn and tends to do the opposite of what people tell him to if he disagrees, which makes him difficult to work together with. He is shown to be fairly childish, and he relies on his older brother Lucas a lot, especially since he's somewhat easily frightened. He shows more emotions towards Lucas, or when he's not concentrating on his powers, which can happen for a number of reasons, and will not always result in someone losing their head.

Bio: William Hale was born 21 years ago, into a family which consisted of a lawyer mother, a teacher dad, and his older brother, Lucas Hale(This is IFS' character). His first five years, he seemed like a normal child, something that changed when his telekinesis powers first surfaced in him being able to lift a small crayon. As he got older, his use of his powers became a usual thing and the powers themselves grew. His parents were surprised, but knew it could happen, as some individuals on the mother's side had abilities. These powers, which were said to come from a family curse, is said to result in madness unless used carefully. William's use of his powers were anything but that, as he abused them frequently and sometimes not completely morally correct. At this point they were still fairly manageable. It wasn't until high school, when he was around 17-18, they resulted in freak accidents every now and then. In the end, he had to be pulled out of school at age 18, and he was left with playing the flute in an orchestra. Very recently before the start of the RP, he was ambushed by three men, who attempted to rob him. Upon seeing the gun, he panicked, and thus the men lost their heads. No, seriously, they did. He didn't get caught for it, but the incident still had an impact on him. It was a month after that he and his brother were approached by an agent from SLICE.
SCLICE is looking for soldiers, having a man they have to babysit wouldn't be high on their recruitment list. The war is JUST starting again, they aren't that desperate yet.

Name: Anastasia (Ana)

Gender: Female

Division: D3

Appearance: Half-Elf, half-Angel, so she's fairly tall, beautiful, and has long, pointy ears. However, she's quite thin, and albino, so her skin is pale, long hair is white, and her eyes have a pink tint, though her pupils glow faintly white; they get brighter as she casts magic, as do the celestial markings on her skin, to the point where they'll show through her white clothes.

A pair of angelic wings spread from her back; too small and frail to truly fly with, but she can glide with them for a bit, or flap them to create a small gust of wind. She tends to use them for shade if she has to go out in the sun, or to cover her face when embarrassed, which happens a lot.

Gear: None to speak of, but she's very skilled with magic. Spells include Holy Fire, Holy Grenade, Celestial Healing, Alter Size (only works on a willing subject), Holy Sword/Shield, and a few abilities that let her control light, to an extent. She can make it, but not remove it: She can create a floating mote to see by in the dark, but she can't darken a room or turn invisible, for example.

Personality: Quiet, shy, timid, and self-conscious in the extreme. She's critical of herself, but supportive of others. She almost never raises her voice higher than a stage whisper, and when she does speak, she tends to stutter.

Despite her introverted nature, she's openly hostile toward demons, and her first suggestion when dealing with one is to kill it, and she would prefer to do it herself. Ironically, she sympathizes with half-demons, but doesn't get along with them much better than anyone else.

Bio: Cynthia is the result of a pairing between an Elf and a Seraphim, before the demons almost wiped out both. She doesn't know who either of her parents were, and suspects they're both dead. Naturally, this didn't sit well with her growing up, and she built up a deep resentment of demons and their ilk, to the point where she would happily erase them from existence, if she had the power.

She's been with SLICE for most of her life, since she really had nowhere else to go, and she wanted to get back at the demons as much as she could. Maybe they'd kill her, but she'd make 'em work for it. Despite her weakness, she's struck quite a few major blows against them using hit-and-run, and she's gotten good at it. She can't wait for her next assignment.
Good, except SLICE is VERY new. Change the organization, and make a reason they'd want to put her on the super team.

Name: malik

Gender: Male

Division: D3

Appearance: He stands just over 6'5 despite a deep slouch. His body seems slightly lopsided with his right side being noticeably larger and catering to the demonic nature of his heritage. a almost rash like spotting of deep red scales cover his entire body. a large bat styled wing protrudes from his left shoulder while on the right there is only a stump. he tends to avoid wearing shirts due to this. built like a brick square jawed, heavy of brow and build weighing in at 280 lbs. his legs seem squat despite his height and he trys to hide that with baggy cargo pants. his eyes are two toned brown on the outer iris fading to a crimson closer to the pupil. his hair is long, dark brown and shaggy in an attempt to hide his face.

Gear: revolver, large sledge and a duffel bag filled with some useful tools (wrenchs, screw drivers, screws and the like) he gained increased strength due to his parentage and also a resistance to magic and an increased healing rate. with these he also gained specific problems inherent to his father, salt literally hurts him and he cannot cross a line of it even to the point of being stuck if surrounded by a circle of it. holy water and consecrated ground harm him and he flinches at the mention of god.

Personality: malik has anger issues and is sometimes rash though he trys to control his emotions. he tends to be quiet though when enraged has been known to yell and make a scene. despite this he refuses to strike out in anger. he hates the way others look at him. incredibly self conscious of his fiendish looks. he deeply resents the demons whom he so resembles

Bio: malik is the child of forced relations between a human female and a demon. his mother died at his birth and he has been with SLICE ever since. his childhood was rough with many scuffles with other children due to the hatred of what he was. he found peace in building and repairing machines though he only does so as a hobby. as he grew up he blamed more and more of his mothers death and his resulting hard life on the demons and decided to take it out on their hides. at the first chance he could he started going on campains against the demons and he soon proved his value to others in SLICE.
A few general grammar complaints, and once more with feeling, SLICE is NEW. BRAND NEW. NEW CAR SMELL. THE YOUNG HOTNESS. Whatever phrase or word you want to use.

And here is my sheet.

Name: Lucas Hale

Gender: Male

Division: 3

Appearance: He is a few inches taller than his brother at about 6'2", has short brown hair (it would get messy if he let it get too long) and though he shares the blue eyes and pale skin of his brother he is bigger physically with broad shoulders. He tends to wear short sleeved shirts as they don't get in the way of his abilities.

Gear/Powers: He has shape-shifting powers, that he typically uses to sprout monstrous appendages, transform a limb into a set of claws, spiderlike arms, tentacles, or whatever else the situation calls for, as well as armoring parts of himself with an incredibly tough carapace. He doesn't like transforming too much of himself at any one time, out of fear that he might lose his humanity. His powers also grant him increased strength and something of a healing factor though, understandably, he hasn't tested its limits. He tries to restrain the use of his powers as much as possible, so that he doesn't unconsciously stretch his arm when reaching for something, or some similar minor action. He carries a pistol and knows how to use a gun, but has never shot someone before, and when in the field he will wear body armor if possible, to reduce the need to create his own.

Personality: Lucas was always the responsible, mature older brother, and he is very protective of Will. He tends to be more sociable than his brother, and is good natured, loyal, and helpful. He is not easily frightened or startled, and in fact takes in sights that would freak out others in stride, perhaps as a result of his own rather disturbing transformations. He does frequently worry about what might result from his powers, and about how his reactions to certain sights differ from others, but tends to keep such concerns to himself.

Bio: Lucas is currently 24, three years older than his brother, although his powers arrived shortly after William's did. At first he was startled and even frightened by them, but soon grew accustomed to them, although he paid careful attention to his parent's warnings regarding their roots and possible side effects. He avoided most sports in school out of concerns regarding his powers, though he was quite athletic, and he encouraged his brother to show the same restraint. He got into a few fights at school, usually with kids who were picking on his brother, although this went away as he got older.

He was in college at the time of Will's incident regarding the muggers, and immediately dropped everything to come home and see what he could do to help. He helped Will recover somewhat from the incident, and when SLICE came looking to recruit Will he volunteered to go with him, to keep an eye on his brother, possibly learn more about their powers, and finally to try and do some good with his abilities.
Your character seems more like the kind of person they'd try to recruit. A person who has control of their powers, and can fight and take on weird. I'd switch places with Rawen.

Name: Haytham El-Ghazzawy

Gender: Male

Division: D2

Appearance: A twenty-something of Middle Eastern descent with a smile on his face. Though more people would notice his strange hair. Though it is dark brown, it fades to white at the tips and appears to have breeze in it at all times - a result of his Half-Djinn heritage. But other than that, his appearance is pretty normal. Dark skin, a hooked nose, kind eyes and an ever-present smile. He normally wears the clothing of every merc in the organisation, his katars are somewhat of anachronism next to state-of-the-art body armour and combat fatigues. Though on occasion, he likes to spice things up with a little bit of theatrics, and dons turbans and scarves and whatnot, playing with the popular view of an Arab warrior. His face is clean-shaven in the mornings but he does suffer from a five o?clock shadow.

Gear/Powers:

- Kevlar body armour and a tactical vest and whatnot that is standard merc equipment.
- Pair of blessed katars, one named Mus?ad, the other named Iqbal.
- Extensive wardrobe of costume bits and pieces.
- An AK-47 slung on his back.

As a Half-Djinn, he is extremely agile and can conjure mist, though he can only conjure a small amount, about enough to fill a small room. Additionally, the mist tends to dissipate quickly, limiting its use as an obscuring agent.

Personality: Haytham can be described as the epitome of ?happy, go lucky?. That aforementioned smile never leaves his face, and he is keen on playing practical jokes on others. Haytham?s main line of thought is, ?That in this war against the demons, people are going to die, we are going to die, I am going to die. So might as well make the best of it.? He seeks to raise the spirits of his comrades, even if it is wanted of not. Though aside from his fervent optimism, he does have a temper and will unleash it if somebody presses one of his buttons, the most commonly pressed one being people shortening his name to ?Hay?. He is also not the smartest person in S.L.I.C.E., not an idiot, not a genius, but about average. However, he often confuses demons with efreeti, leading to some thinking that is really is an idiot.

Bio: Born somewhere in the Middle East, though he was sent to the ?States soon after for his education to live with his aunt and uncle. His was a fairly average childhood, but afterwards, signs of his heritage began to appear. Other children mocked him for having grey bits of hair while others crept up to him and attempted to assault him, but ran away as soon as they saw the mysterious mists that came out of nowhere or came into contact with his skin only to feel that it was strangely cold. Haytham himself wondered why he was different, and why his aunt and uncle had pulled him out of mainstream education. Truth was, his uncle thought it best to home-school the child as the rumours became too numerous to suppress and the child could be taught more than the required topics on the syllabus. Haytham, on the other hand, missed the company of other people his age and the pranks he pulled on them.

But he finally got answers to his questions. His uncle revealed that he wasn?t really Haytham?s uncle, but more of a family friend, and his aunt revealed the astonishing fact that she is not human, but a Djinn. She went on to reveal that Haytham?s mother was one of the Djinni as well, and the two were sisters. As for Haytham?s father, well she only gave a wink and told him that he would meet him soon. However, after about seven years of more education and ?education?, Haytham saw not a hair of him. He got angry and demanded to see his parents. His uncle had to explain then about the long lifespan of the Djinni while his aunt just stood there with a sad look on her face. But, on the day afterwards, he finally got to met then. Haytham finally understood his aunt?s reluctance, as they were both agents of S.L.I.C.E. He joined soon after.
Hopefully for the final time, SLICE is new, but there are other organizations to put his family in, and SLICE simply recruited him.

Gender
Male
Name: John Smith
Species: Human
Gender: Male
Age: 35

Appearance: He has light grey eyes, usually shaved black hair, with a short beard. He is Six foot tall and of average weight, with a muscular build.

Off-duty Clothes: His old army uniform (urban camouflage pattern, name and rank removed, with his blood type carved into the soles of his boots).

Work Gear: A modified Russian CBRNe suit (urban digital camouflage), modified body armour, modified XM40 gas mask (with an NVG mount), a heavily modified AK-200 (loaded with blessed AP incendiaries), an old Russian revolver (upgraded and loaded with blessed HP incendiaries), some fire bombs, a breaking and entering kit, a medikit, a survival kit, an operator kit(contents depend on the job but maintain several basic elements), a cold iron machete (blessed and alchemically silvered), ammo, cigarettes, and a lighter.

Powers: Mild but Trained Psionic.

Division: Division Three of SLICE

Personality: He has very little reaction to demons now other than pulling the trigger. It is very odd to see him willingly cooperating with supernatural beings seeing as his previous job was exterminating them and burning the evidence. He will work with them now, but he prefers to work alongside other humans. Delta green taught him to be secretive, to be paranoid, to only place trust in his comrades, and even that was conditional.

He distrusts SLICE due to their trusting of things behind the masquerade, but has been unable to contact another Delta Green cell, so work goes on.

He isn't a loner, but definitely prefers the company of like minded individuals. Out of the current government organizations other than delta green (which hasn't been government since the incident in Vietnam), he doesn't trust them. And beyond SLICE he would probably agree quite a bit with the Templar's, at least from what he's heard of them.

Bio: Born in 1987, recruited into the army out of high school, and recruited into the delta force in 2002. A year after his training, during a deployment his unit witnessed a summoning of something that at was beyond comprehension. He opened fire on the cultists involved and then with his unit on the creature. They torched the site, to avoid questions none of them wanted asked. A week later one of his men broke and told command, each man involved was separated from each-other, each undergoing psychological testing. The ones that failed were shot, the ones that passed were unofficially sent to a delta green cell for training and work. Eight years later the entire cell deployed against a single target, due to the severity of the developing situation. The battle was not going well, 70% of the men were dead within the first half an hour. About an hour into the battle, DICE teams joined the combat. By the time it was over 90% of the men were dead or too wounded (physically or psychologically) to continue the war against the coming darkness. The remaining men who were fit and sane (enough) joined DICE. John was with them until SLICE formed. He has had trouble adjusting to the difference in the organization (lack of blackness to the operations, and the leaving of witnesses). His psionics manifested during his time with delta green (assumed to have been caused by psyche contamination), and had it nurtured by them, and their MKULTRAish procedures. Most of his records are purposely ambiguous due to him abandoning his real name and life outside delta green after his cell was massacred.

Constructive criticisms are welcome.

EDIT: Just noticed the SLICE is new part, correcting some stuff.
EDIT2: Changed some wording, and opinions are welcome again.
EDIT3: Edited some more in...
EDIT4: Took another look at my sheet after almost a week and decided on some changes.
EDIT5: Woke up, didn't like some stuff, changed it again.

Fair enough, we mostly figured SLICE would know about the guy who kinda killed three people in less than a second out in public (if in a dark ally) rather than the guy who rarely uses his powers at all. Besides, you don't have to babysit Will, he's perfectly capable on relying on Lucas on his own :p

That's the exact reason they WOULDN'T. Why on earth would anyone want to have a kid who can literally decapitate people ACCIDENTALLY on your team. He sounds like he needs to concentrate on it at all times, or else he'd do the same to any who bully him slightly.

Your joke is noted, but the point remains valid.

For the purposes of manipulating and controlling a potentially powerful resource from an early, impressionable age, that's why.

They were pointing a gun at him, thought, trying to make him stress, and most likely going to shoot him after they got the money. :/ It's not like he reacts by killing everyone, and he's fairly calm. He's easily startled, but, at most, what would happen, is him dropping/destroying items he is using telekinesis on, and in most cases he'd hinder this. You are by far underestimating the amount of control he has, else events like the mugger incident would happen all the time, and his parents would be dead.

He could've fought on the side of Angels near the end, I suppose. Other than that the last human demon war ended with WW2.

SCLICE isn't really built for the long haul. Humans expect a quick war, as they believe they have better tech and troops. Why would they put Will in the super team?

Because he's a specialized fighter rather than a soldier? Because he has strong enough powers to not need to be physically strong? It was fairly hard to read which of the Divisions one should be in either way.

Edit: Nevermind, I fixed it. Still D3, but more stable.

Ooh, WW2 makes this awkward. I was hoping for Lars to be in his fifties, so that he would be past his prime enough to feel it, yet still capable of proper field work. When did the angel war end? Also, could my character be one of the founders/initial members of this new organization?

He could be with the right connections. Iscariot is magic and belongs to the church, Templars are non magical and belong to the church, and the government has several orgs developed to combat supernatural things.

Hmm, awkward again. Lars uses magic, but he's not a caster, think soulknife from D&D if you want an example.

Anyways, here's what I have of my sheet right now; more needs to be determined for the Bio and Division sections. Maybe he earned fame through a series of black ops work during a (relatively) minor campaign against demons, perhaps?

Name: Lars Eckhart

Gender: Male

Division: 3, although he could assist with 5 if need be. Also 1 if he's a founder. He's an interrogator, an investigator, and a combatant, so put him where you will.

Appearance: He's getting old, and he can feel it. Healthy habits have certainly prolonged his prime, but be still isn't what he once was. Formerly sporting a short blond cut that looked like it was singed with a blowtorch, Lars' hair is now lightening up quite a bit, losing the darker colors he once had in exchange for a growing luster he never had before. His eyes still retain their traditional dull hazel, though, one of the few parts of him that refuses to age. Unlike his eyes, though, Lars' face is evidence of his age and experience, with its assortment of largely healed-up scars, with the notable exception of a gouged-out tract under his right eye, following the trail a tear would, assuming Lars can cry anymore. In addition to the scars of demons, though, are the scars of time itself. Wrinkles are starting to show themselves on Lars, mostly skirting the edges of his face and jaw, but they are there even when buried among demonic injuries sustained over the years. His parents were also German immigrants to the States, in case you needed to know (subject to change).

Gear: Not much, honestly. When he's deployed as an investigator, he'll wear civilian clothing. When in a war zone, he'll put on body armor, but he keeps it light so he can stay mobile. He can use a gun competently, although he rarely goes on mission packing a weapon due to his use of magic. Speaking of magic, he's a mage, but he's not a caster. He manipulates some sort of magic/ki/energy, depending on how shit works, but nonetheless, he manipulates the energy into solid form and pokes people with it. When it stops touching his body, it won't go far/last long, but a few projectiles can be flung as desperate measures. He generally molds the energy around his right arm like a foil, and uses the immaterial blade to provide a fencing style he uses.

Personality: If you don't mind me referencing TVTropes, he's a nihilistic Type III Antihero who's reasonably sadistic at times. He follows the "Closed Fist" ideology which, if you haven't played Jade Empire, means that he places individual strength/ability above all else, and refuses to help others if it means depriving them of a chance to become stronger. Condescension is a bad habit of his, and he can't stand stupid people. He's also a grammar nazi.

Bio: Since DICE SLICE is reasonably new, I'm hoping that Lars can be a founder/initial member of the organization, and have participated in previous wars, or possibly minor campaigns, against the demonic ilk. Depends on some stuff, though.

Name: Auton

Gender: None.

Division: D2

Appearance: 9 foot tall clockwork robot. It has wide legs, with a single joint as the "knees," connecting up to the torso, it's shoulder length is five feet wide, with two hanging down, ending at two hands with three fingers each. Auton doesn't have a head. On its torso it has seven holes, two on the front of the shoulders, two on the back of the shoulders, two smaller ones under the armpits, and one on the center of the xhect which are used to "see" it's environment via echo location, to hear, and to talk with, respectively. The entire thing appears to be made of a brass and iron alloy, giving it a "golden" tint (although it is far more durable than it's chemical composition should be). Open up the chest, and you will see all kinds of gears, oscillators, and chains, but not a single engine, magical rune, or any power source. SLICE scientists speculate that somewhere within the uncountable gears lies a true perpetual motion machine.

Gear: Most of it's fighting is done with Auton's giant metal fists. Auton is extremely strong, able to lift around 4 tons, and put massive force into punches. Five barrel rotating gun is in it's right arm, firing .48 Minié balls that are reloaded after all five barrels have fired (which takes about 4 seconds). The bullets are made when any lead is put into a hole on top of Auton's right shoulder, but can only hold 120 shots at any given time. Auton can also grab objects or enemies and throw them around. For the most part though, Auton gets in close with the enemy, using it's strength and durability to simply last longer.

Personality: Auton is a curious being. When it can, Auton tries to take things apart, to understand them. Mostly in the hope that if it understands other machines, it can understand itself. The robot can feel some emotions, happiness, remorse, sadness, guilt, pain, and awe, but not others, such as fear and hatred. Auton doesn't fight, not because it wants to fight, or likes humans over demons, but because it cannot turn down an order given to it by SPLICE. It is automatically compelled to do what the organization says, even if Auton doesn't want to do it.

Bio: Found by Splice in an abandoned Swiss basement, completely by accident . Auton was found surrounded by half finished clockwork beasts and objects, none of which could ever be made to work. No paperwork, no notes, nothing to explain how any of the devices were built, who built, or why. The only clue was that the metal was dated to 1854. After being taken to the nearest base by Unknown Investigation, Auton "woke-up" after a technician messed with the gears. It was named Auton, serving without questions. Over the years, Auton changed, it found a voice, grew a strange personality, but never gaining even one memory to before it was found. UI was later brought under the umbrella of SPLICE, somehow Auton's total loyalty came with the transfer.

I am open to criticism and suggestions.

Just a quick question.
Magic vise can we pretty much go nuts as long as it isn't OP and can be explained?

That's pretty much how it worked in the original, and I haven't heard any statements by this GM that contradict that.

Haytham finally understood his aunt?s reluctance, as they were both members of a merc group. Haytham, despite her warnings joined his parents in the war againist the efreeti. Soon, he got the attention of S.L.I.C.E. As he wanted to carve out his own path in life, he joined as soon as he got the offer.

Name: Anastasia (Ana) le Fey

She joined up with SLICE the moment she heard about it. Before that, she had stayed hidden from humanity as much as she could, which wasn't easy with a pair of wings and pointed ears. She hopes to be a senior member of SLICE, if only she can stick it to the demons how and where she wants to.

Editification: Complete.

Could you add more about the world to the OP; timeline, some more information, etc?

Then I'll consider writing up a sheet, I don't want to write a character for a world I know little to nothing about.

Here you go
Name: James Norris

Gender: Male

Division: D2

Appearance: James looks to be in his late 20s or early 30s, and is very elven in appearance, with long, pointed ears, and tanned skin. He is tall for an elf-around 6'0"-and pretty well built. He has brown hair that he cuts short to allow him to wear a helmet. His dark brown eyes have a greenish glow, which becomes more apparent in dark areas. He has no noticeable facial hair.

Gear/Powers:
James wears a Kevlar vest, and a helmet with attached sunglasses.
As a primary weapon, James uses a Benneli M4 shotgun, which he straps to his back when not in combat. The shotgun comes with a collapsible butt stock to make it easier to carry.
As for powers, James was born with dark-vision, the innate ability to see in almost total darkness. This is also what causes the green glow of his eyes. However, the dark-vision, makes his eyes much more sensitive to light. He combats this by wearing sunglasses whenever is a very bright room.

Personality: James' early laid back life had a very positive effect on him, making him very good-natured and hard to anger. He is normally calm during stressful situations, though he has the problem of preferring to shoot first and ask questions later. This is especially true when it comes to demons, which he hates with a passion

Bio: James Norris-or as his friends call him "Jimmy"-was born to an elven family. James takes after his father, who was a farmer. Growing up, James loved to play in the forest outside his home, swim in the pool in the local town, and play with other children. All in all, James' life was pretty carefree, until one faithful night.
When James was very young, demons destroyed his home, killing his parents in the process. James managed to escape, using his dark-vision to great effect in avoiding his pursuers. He stumbled upon a hiking couple, who were kind enough to take him in and raise him. James spent most of his life in relative quiet, before leaving to join an eleven mercenary group to fight the demons tasked with hunting down the last of the elves. James did this for many years-to little success-until joining up with S.L.I.C.E.

Damn you, Ruedyn! I missed out on taking some very important notes in lecture today, when I was writing this sheet! Curse you, as well as my desire to slay me some demons!

Name: Lyra Summers

Gender: Female

Age: 28

Division: D3 - Long to mid-range specialist

Appearance: A full-blooded human, Lyra stands at 6' even without her boots, 6' 0.5" with them. Her body, mostly comprised of lithe, flexible muscle, weighs in at just under 170 lbs, and her icy-blue eyes are half hidden behind a curtain of dirty-blond hair.

Not normally one for make-up or dressing up, Lyra often comes across as rough or uncultured when meeting someone for the first time. It probably has something to do with her thick leather boots, scarred from years of wear and tear, her navy, ankle-length duster, and the perpetual stench of gunsmoke that hangs around her like a cloud of perfume.

However, while her clothes may be a bit off-putting, Lyra's carefree posture, cheerful smile, and easy-going air tend to put the people around her at ease. Her face is lined with years of laughs and smiles, marks that she wouldn't trade for anything in the world.

Beneath her clothing and happy visage, however, lies another part of Lyra. Her arms, chest, back, and legs, hidden underneath a long sleeve shirt and pants, respectively, are covered by a horrendous patchwork of scars and injuries. A couple of her organs (Her liver and one of her lungs, to be precise) have been replaced by artificial prosthetics, though they thankfully function just as well as the originals, if not better.

Gear:
-A customized Mateba Revolver, built with a breech reloading system. Fires .357 Magnum cartridges.
-5 six-shot speedloaders. Including the cartridges already in her gun, Lyra carries at least 36 rounds at all times.
-3 M84 stun grenades, as well as a pair of custom ear plugs.
-A Kevlar vest, worn beneath her duster.
-30 meters of 0.35 mm wire, with incredibly high tensile strength.
-A folding tactical knife
-An 8G Ipod, as well as several back-up pairs of ear buds. They tend to break a lot in her line of work.

Depending on the mission, Lyra might also acquire temporary weapons or equipment to further bolster her layout. Night vision goggles, gas masks, rappelling rope and harness, sniper rifles, and sub-machine guns make for good examples.

What she lacks in terms of magical ability, Lyra more than makes up for with physical prowess. Her accuracy, at least with her revolver, is all but unmatched, and her physical endurance has been pushed to the limit by years and years of training.

Personality: Lyra, simply put, is a people person. Or Elf, Dwarf, Djinn, whatever person. She loves to be around people, she loves talking to them, she loves knowing them, and, above all else, she loves fighting for them. Most of her off-duty time, when she's not training or sleeping, that is, is devoted to chatting with her teammates or whoever else might be around.

Painfully aware of what demons are capable of, Lyra goes into combat with a cool head and careful aim. She knows that she's ineffectual, at best, when it comes to close-quarters, and as such she will do everything she can to maximize her ranged effectiveness. If, however, she ever spots one of her comrades or an innocent in danger, she loses it. Lyra will forget her caution and tactics and will just charge in, guns blazing, doing everything in her power to either stave off the threat or get between it and its intended victim.

Bio: The first few years of Lyra's life were about as ordinary as life could get for a human girl. She lived with her father, her mother, her 1.5 siblings, and her pet dog in a small house in a mid-sized town smack dab in the middle of an unimpressive state in the good old US of A. She went to school, she did her homework, she played with her friends, she tried (without success) to stay up past midnight. It was a simple, peaceful existence, the kind that most people, whether they admit it or not, yearn for.

At least, it was peaceful until the demons came.

How many of them there were, Lyra was never exactly sure of. More than five, less than ten, that's all she can say. She doesn't remember what they looked like, how they sounded, or why they suddenly appeared out of the shadows one night. But she remembers what they did. She always will.

They slaughtered her family without a single shred of mercy, killing them slowly and relishing their dying screams. Lyra was only able to watch, helpless and losing consciousness from her own wounds, as her father, mother, and brother were all slain one by one, unable to do anything but silently sob and plead for it to stop. In the course of a single night, no, in the course of two hours, her entire world, everything she thought she knew and believed, was shattered beyond repair.

But that was alright. Because, when the D.I.C.E. soldiers showed up, a whole new world opened up to her.

Barely alive and only half-conscious, Lyra watched in awe as the agents took down her tormenters with a few bursts of gunfire. She refused to look away as they used their training and tactics to to accomplish what strength alone could not. A part of Lyra changed that night, or perhaps it was just a part that she had never realized existed. No matter the case, she was more than willing to accept it.

She had a new goal.

Though she was horrifically injured in the attack, Lyra was saved in the end. And, armed with a new sense of will and iron determination, she knew that it would only be a matter of time before she recovered.

Four months after that night, Lyra was finally out of her hospital bed, hobbling about on crutches. Eleven months later, and her body, though covered in scars and skin grafts, was finally back up to snuff. Then, after five more years of tireless training and hard work, Lyra enlisted in the armed forces. She was 18 at the time.

Pushing herself, Lyra quickly rose up through the ranks. After serving four years as a soldier, she moved on to the special forces, and from there moved to a government agency dedicated to dealing with demonic threats. After hearing about the formation of S.L.I.C.E. and its need for recruits, however, Lyra quickly filed for a transfer and was switched to the new organization. And here we are.
