For some reason, everyone criticized Far Cry 2 for whatever reasons but I personally loved it.

Terminator Salvation

Its one of the worst games I ever played, controls are shit, AI is crap, loading screens take forever, and it crashes constantly.

But I always get exited playing multiplayer with my brother and having a plan work out perfectly, setting up and preparing for battle, then one of us distracts an enemy and the other attacks, the satisfaction of killing a bunch of overpowered enemys is just great.

Tales of Legendia. I've seen people getting flamed out the ass for actually enjoying it.Sure it isn't the strongest entry but it is enjoyable and plays better than the GBA remake of Phantasia.

I feel like no one's ever heard of Toejam & Earl, but "Toejam & Earl" and "Panic On Funkotron" are two of my favourite games of all time.

Mirror's Edge didn't get that great reviews, but I think I play it about 5 times a week :3
I love that game to hell and back.
I also like this game a lot.

I've heard complaints about the parkour mechanics and how it shouldn't be done in a first person game, but I felt it was great and very addicting.

The only problems I had with the game was the combat and story...=/

Kane and Lynch : Dead Men, hands down one of my favourite games around, no-one really liked it and it got crap reviews but its just plain awesome, dark story but very entertaining. Really looking foreward to the sequel.

*Edit forgot Clive Barkers Jericho, that game was pretty awesome as well.

Drakengard. The gameplay is repetitive, the music is terrible, the voice acting is mediocre...and the story is a mind-blowing apocalypse of twisted, dark, bloody AWESOMENESS.

Also seconding Dynasty Warriors and Bard's Tale. :3

Not enough people loved Onechanbara: Bikini Zombie Slayers on Wii. It's a sequel Onechanbara: Bikini Samurai Squad on Xbox 360. Never tried the 360 game, but on Wii its is an EXCELLENT hack and slash, with 2 characters, 2 more unlockable, a lot of custumes and well implemented motion-controlled combat!

I also like Breakdown on XBOX. It a unique FPS and for being made in 2003, it's more realistic than more modern FPS games. I mean, I can look down and actually see my feet! It also has a unique combat system, utilizing auto-aim when using a gun, and a complex hand to hand combat system, involving punches, kicks and combos. Really fun, and one of the only FPS games I really like.

Army of Two is also an incredible shooter. I love the team-based gameplay, and the characters are fun to play as, although I prefer Salem over Rios. I'm not one for shooters, but I tried this at my aunt's, on her boyfriend's PS3, and we loved every second of it. I found it later at Walmart for $20, and was easily a great purchase. I can't speak for the single player experience, as I never tried, but the multiplayer is AMAZING!

Fable II is also an awesome RPG. It's funny, has nice character customization, and has a decently sized world. I like the gameplay as well. Simple, yet fun! I'll happily take it over the borefest that was The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, anyday.

I completely loved Mirror's Edge, and Medal of Honor: Airborne was awesome. I played through these several times, and once on the hardest difficulty.

I cannot recommend Earth Defense Force 2017 enough.

Hordes of giant bugs and robots.
100's of unlockable weapons.
Upgradeable health.
Awesome multiplayer
FUN

Vampire Rain. "A stealth game where you have to be stealthy. BLASHPEMY." I've done six playthroughs and counting and it still hasn't failed to accelerate my heart rate every time I play it.

Mirror's Edge. To me, it feels like Portal with one point taken out of "fun" and three put into "length". Yet it gets panned. I had no problems with the combat at all and the parkour was fun. Throw in co-op free roam into the sequel and I'll gladly pay full price for it.

Sonic Unleashed. Yes, the medal hunting is a pain in the rear end, and yes, there are a fair few portions of the game where the difficulty spikes up from fairly easy to murderous in one small section, but I think it's an overall decent game.

Turok. "Holy shit, an FPS with the best stealth kill system in any game to date, functional controls and gameplay mechanics and a legitimately difficult campaign mode. LET'S SET IT ON FIRE AND DANCE ON THE ASHES!!1!"

Alone in the Dark. I can't say a lot about this because I haven't beaten it yet, but I don't need to do that to be able to say that it's very innovative, looks quite nice, the controls and mechanics are fine and I have experienced zero glitches.

I've already mentioned these games far too many times in my previous posts in similar topics... I'll try and stop now.

Yu-Gi-Oh: Nightmare Troubadour

Most Yu-Gi-Oh games suck, but I like this one and I guess you really have to be a fan of Yu-Gi-Oh to like the game. I find myself dueling for hours on end.

I recently played and beat a game called "Wet" which was slammed in reviews and I enjoyed it. Yes, several issues, but I often was having fun and the soundtrack was so much fun. A guilty pleasure in every sense.

OT: I love the variety of games people enjoy despite them being labelled 'shitty' by other people.

The game I love to death is Private Eye: Philip Marlowe. It's pretty much an interactive novel (my favourite novel come to life really) but the animation sequences are done so well I'd play it a hundred times to watch the cut-scenes. Yeah, that's right - the cut-scenes are more fascinating than the game.
