Yorg, PM me if you find any conflicting details with this sheet. ;]

Tried to keep it brief, but that's often a struggle for me... Also, she's a bit different than my last character, non?

I have to get to bed now, but tomorrow (my one day off!) I'll try to get through those sheets. Again, start without me if you want.

Name: Gladys Dubois

Appearance: Dubois is a petite woman, her back perpetually straitened in dignity. Although she is ageing in years, former beauty is evident in her features, from her slender face and pointed nose, to the softness of her skin; however, the effects of recent troubles are growing more prominent. Her lips are always drawn tightly, faced with wrinkles at their corner. Her brow is often furrowed as well, and laugh lines that once decorated her face pleasurably now only accentuate the years of building stress. Though she is 51 years old, her visual age is at least half a decade more.

As the wife and mother of a highly prosperous and influential family and corporation, her appearance is always presented neatly and professionally. She often sports a business jacket and blouse with a knee-length skirt, over skin-tone pantyhose and low work heels. Dark brown hair peppered with grey is pulled back into a comfortable bun, away from her dark solid eyes.

Powers: Dubois has been labelled as the Illusionist, a visual artist of the mind. She is able to tap into the minds of others and alter their perception of reality, essentially created hallucinations as she sees fit. This takes great emotional strain, though Dubois tries to conceal it.

Her most powerful mind inflictions occur when she has a deep insight into the mind of her target. By simple skin contact, she is able to access the memories and senses of another. A grazing touch can provide her with a year of visions; a handshake can deliver as long as an entire childhood; and a prolonged hug could give her fourty years of worthy events. By utilizing these memories, Dubois is able to reflect them unto the mind of another individual with near-perfect scents, tastes, etc.

She is unable to create any memory she has not gained, but she can bend them (by enlarging objects, brightening scenes, etc.) Her memory for her own life, however, is beginning to fade.

Biography: Gladys Dubois was born the daughter of a wealthy family in Quebec, Canada. The only child of a lawyer and a businessman, she was often left to the care of a nanny or herself. Busying herself with the family library, she taught herself complex mathematics and sciences, and declared 'gifted' by the age eight. Throughout school, she frequently associated herself with other wealthy and powerful individuals.

After graduating university at the top of her class in businesses and economics, Gladys soon caught the attention of a young businessman named Dunstan. They were soon married, the heads of a multi-million dollar corporation that bore branches from the Americas, to Europe, to even Asia. Since then, the company (which specializes in the exploration of genetic and infectious diseases) has prospered phenomenally, giving the couple the primary influence of human health research and development in the United States.

At the age of twenty-eight, Gladys gave birth to her first son, and another the next year. A month following her fourty-eighth birthday, Dunstan passed away from a long-term heart disease. Throughout his final years and following his death, she has become a more withdrawn individual, becoming increasingly absorbed in her work.

@Threewords: I think we can go ahead and start the selection as soon as Para get's his sheet up, seeing as Aqua is in automatically. I'm itching to get this started.
Aye aye. My panel include yourself, Nukie, Revolver, Terry and Aqua, as you guys are the main power behind Surge 1. PM me your nominees and thoughts, and I'll meditate upon your advice

ID: Subject 54

Details of discovery: 54 came to us in answer to our adverts, the ones we put out to draw in any latent powers. He came to us because he felt odd, thought he was ostracised, and was afraid he was going mad.

Power: Distressingly, 54 has no measurable power. Certainly, he must have some kind of superhuman ability; there's no way he could do as he does naturally, but however we test him, the instruments. As for his power, it has to be seen to be believed. 54 can pick up anything, examine it carefully, and then use it as if trained wit it for years. This extends to any kind of skill; five minutes of watching it and he will gain equal skill with the demonstrator; given a few minutes more of silent thought, he will outperform his teacher. However, the learning does not last; if he does not use the skill in question, it will fade within an hour. Add that to the speed of learning, and yuo get some kind of non-power. It's beyond natural, but is nothing like the other 'superpowers' we've seen.
We've decided to call it preter-cognition.

If you think it will work, I'll forge a character around it. If not, I've a few others.
*points to his char sheet* that's...pretty much what my char has
It's some, but not all, of his powers

Anyway, this isn't the power you're thinking of... *waves hand*

Name: Meredith Harbours

Appearance: 70 years of age, Meredith no longer cares how people view her, wearing clothes she finds comfortable & leaving her grey hair combed but free, coming down to her chin.. Her skin is wrinkled but not excessively so, splotched freckles cover her body roughly every half-inch, concentrating on her face. Her nose is slightly larger than the average with an outward kink halfway down, her lips are thin & her teeth straight but yellow. She is a mere five feet in height.

She almost always dons a cardigan over usually a simple long-sleeved buttoned-up shirt, her favorite a powerful red with big black round buttons. Her shoes are simple, black slip-ons with an ever-so-slight heel maybe a centimeter from the ground, if she is wearing her knee-length skirt she will wear stockings, unless she wears her trousers, all varying shades of grey.
She used to be far-sighted & wear round black-rimmed glasses, but since coming into her powers, she no longer has a need for them.

Powers: Her entire body is almost hundreds of times tougher than any normal healthy person's, she can survive a collapsing building or being hit by a passenger train at full speed with little damage. Her muscles, whilst undergoing no change in size, can lift several hundreds of tonnes & up into the thousands if her life truly depends on it, though it causes damage to her person. She weighs only nine kilograms & is exceedingly agile with strong motor skills & reflexes, she can run up to 400 km/h.
Her senses have been increased tenfold, she can see with clarity far further, her smell is akin to the level of a predatory cat, she can hear footsteps through crowded buildings & pick the source of them. She is in a sense, a magnified person, every physical attribute suited to survival increased, every physical`weakness reduced.

Biography: Born August 5th, 1939 to Christopher & Penelope Carthewrighte of London, until the age of five the only life Meredith knew was one of wartime, malnutrition & constant stress stunted her early growth & development. Her adolescent life, despite taking place in peacetime, suffered heavily with the death of her mother from "unknown causes" at the age of twelve. She was placed into the care of her father's sister while he worked, whom did not take kindly to Meredith seeing her as an utter burden, devoid of merit.
Four years of neglect passed until Meredith met Sander Harbours, a middle-class gentleman who made his wealth by way of organized crime in America, only in London to supervise the smuggling in of contraband literature.
He was smitten with Meredith & begged her to return to America with him, offering her a home & the promise of marriage. Meredith, eager to escape her oppressive aunt accepted with little hesitation. Meredith Carthewright became Mrs. Sander Harbours on January the 14th, 1958, & lived with her husband in Boston for another twenty-five years, mostly unaware of his increasingly criminal conducts. Sander Harbours was murdered on the first day of September, 1983 by the son of a man he shot dead several years ago for failure of payment for illicit drugs. Meredith had no children despite her best efforts, Sander had been highly infertile his whole life. Meredith continued to live on his life insurance & later her own pension, but took up work as a library receptionist for several years.
Four years after her retirement, Meredith collapsed on the street while walking to buy a coffee. She was taken to hospital where doctors could find no reason for her collapse, although they noted her brain was displaying an abnormally high level of activity. She was kept alive for a month & kept under study, until she awoke without warning.
Meredith was committed to a nursing home, where her powers came into effect almost immediately. At first, she broke several glasses, mugs, cutlery, tore clothes & eventually broke a table setting a vase down. Her weight dropped & the nursing home staff were considering sending her back to the hospital. On the day she was scheduled to be admitted, her room was found empty.
Friends reported having heard nothing of Meredith, although an old colleauge from her library claims she sighted her in a foreign city.
Super Granny?

I love it!

Mine isn't technically a granny, since one of her sons has yet to have a child, and the other is a failure to the family. ;] And she isn't a soccer mom, either!

But she is pretty badass.

I guess you win on the technical stuff....
By the way, not sure if you checked the RP regulars yet, but Shadows of Solstice is being put on hold seeing as the site is severely lacking wall-o-text posters at the moment.

Though I have something planned to take it's place! :D

Ok a little something for good luck, find the closest drinkable liquid to you that wont kill you.
Done that?
Good.
Now find a glass to pour it into, then raise it to the sky.
then say "Long live Surge 2"
And drink the liquid.
