I won't say anything except watch it. Don't let the title fool you into thinking it's some kind of Barbie movie. It's one of the best movies I ever saw.
I've been involved in two stage productions of this and I have to say...not my favorite.
Why have you been in two productions of it in 3 years if you don't like it?

Anchorman. I was expecting another shitty, rushed cash-in from Will Ferrell and got an anarchic, clever and absolutely hilarious comedy. It's still the only really funny film he's done.

For me it was GI Joe. "This is gonna rape my childhood, ain't it?"
Came out "Woah."

No ones mentioned it yet but I love Orgasmo! It's so bad that it comes around the other side as good!

The Fall. My older brother forced me to sit down and watch it, and usually he makes me watch really arty but shit films (or brutal films, but he assured me it wasn't). It's one of the best films ever made. By god, it's beautiful.

I thought that Slumdog Millionaire was ridiculously overhyped...until I saw it.

That was one HELL of a movie.
I just saw that last night.
Great great film. Very good.

I will also add to this thread the following:
Kung-Pow: Enter the Fist (Guilty pleasure of mine)
I Love you Man
Sweeny Todd
Run Fatboy Run

I'm sure there are others.

Stranger than fiction. I expected some sort of generic comedy what with will ferral. I was so surprised when it turn out not only good, but really good. Thought provoking, inventive, genuinely sad, and funny all at the same time.

Dark City.

Just saw it recently and it was awesome. Think Matrix meets Enemy of the State meets Jacob's Ladder meets Hellraiser.
Watch Dark City and Ghost in the Shell back to back, then watch the Matrix, then cry because you suddenly realize that the Wachowski brothers stole everything from those movies.

Believe it or not, but the day I watched Matrix for the first time I was 100% sure that they couldn't have thought of all that by themselves.

Shrek; I was under the impression it was going to be a cheesy little kids film. I am so glad I got dragged to that.

Blazing Saddles and the Dark Knight.

I thought they'd be horrible but they literally blew my mind with Blazing Saddles witty comedy and the Dark Knights truly brilliant acting and story.
Blazing Saddles was GOLDEN, there was not a single moment in that movie that I didn't think was awesome.

Another movie I thought would be horrible but ended up enjoying a lot. Star Trek.

Also thought Hairspray would be terrible, it wasn't my favorite movie but it was definitely better then I thought it would be.

[Edit] RAND00M's pick of The Boondock Saints was good too, that movie was just wonderful!

"Hey chief can i stay the night?" "Only if your mother says it's okay." Priceless XD

The pirates of teh Caribbean 2.
I thougt it was going to be the rebirth of tedium, but it suprised me.

The Beginning was horrible.
As it rolled on I started to like it.
Some of the fighting scenes really are innovative and fastpaced goodness.

To make it Great, though. You would have to cut out the acting of Orlando Bloom.

Outlander, thought it would be some really cheesy low budget sci-fi, turned out to be pretty decent in all respects.
