No as someone who has been in the beta from last December on I have seen the game get worse with every build. Less interesting crafting, PVP that is totally unbalanced, and the fact that they removed the branching story lines(in the early builds you could actually have companions leave you if you made certain choices).

I may join up later if I hear that they have fixed more of the issues and my friends join up.

I've had the CE preordered since the second it came up. I love Bioware and I'm excited for this game. I haven't bothered with the beta weekend test because I already know what I'm going to play and what my alt is going to be. I don't feel like wasting time with classes I don't like and playing a game that's going to be wiped shortly. Lots of my friends are playing it so I won't be lonely. Till launch? SKYRIM, SAINTS ROW 3, SERIOUS SAM 3, and ARKHAM CITY!

If it gets good reviews, I'll buy it.
You judge games based purely on reviews? /Faceho-PALM!

Sorry...

OT: Already pre-ordered it! I need SOMETHING to justify the Razer Naga and Logitech G13 I bought recently.
whats wrong with that?

I mean when it comes to a game of coarse there are other things to take into account, what kind of game it is, if I I'm interested, and if its a current release then its going to cost some money

reveiws just seal the deal...if somhing Im interested in gets a low score then thats a good incentive to stay away (considering standards are probably a bit on the low side)

Im not going to rush out and buy COD if it gets a 9 because I know theres NOTHING I would like about COD

anyway, you just pre-ordered the thing....so what you basing YOUR purchase one? Biowares brand name? the fact that its starwars? not meaning to critisize but those are less solid reasons than a reveiw

Yes, I will buy SWTOR as soon as they get rid of the $60 entry fee allow you to just the $15 monthly subscription to gain access.

I try to restrict my mmo gaming to f2p or other freemium games so why am I going to sub? I loved Knights of the Old Republic, and this game IS KOTOR3... in an MMO shell. With a hella lot more character options than a single player game would have afforded. The story, presentation is superb. I don't see how people would compare it to WoW... I won't play it for the levelling, the raiding, I'll play it for the story. And since I get to play with others, maybe I'll get to multiply the fun.

(About the beta's current state)

There's something funny about how graphics are handled at this moment. When I begun I had it at the near lowest resolution and the game looked a bit jaggy and washed out. It wasn't very responsive either so I left it like that. Out of curiosity I tried to crank the graphics all the way up to my monitor's native resolution and it seemed to fix everything. No more graphic glitches, objects clearly defined... and the game was as responsive as in the lower resolution. odd.

I was going to, it all looked very solid, I've liked practically all of Biowares previous work, and this looked to apply their trademark style of making RPGs to an MMO and to possibly breath new life into the star wars franchise...
Then this happened.

Now I'm avoiding it like the plague.

Agreed, it's a shame. Well one can hope Origin collapses eventually. At least due to EA's tendency to keep prices up and their allergy to discounts and sales.

MMO = NO, should have been KotOR3, especially after the abrupt ending of 2.
Probably end up reading plot details several years from now, a`la The Matrix Online.
Funny.
It's the same as me really, with the added bonus of "don't want to pay monthly for something I might not have time to play."

Those of you complaining that it isn't difficult enough, I assure you that the game gets more difficult as you gain levels. By the early 20s I had to actually use my brain occasionally, and by the late 20s I felt genuinely challenged. Perhaps that's because I had no healing abilities between me and my tank companion, but I can't imagine healing makes a HUGE difference. Just allows you to solo slightly more difficult groups.

Difficulty is pretty hit or miss though. A lot of the content feels very challenging, and other stuff is a total cakewalk. Standard beta difficulty, really.

Wut? Thousands of enemies split into 2 types, ranged and close combat. Their ability difference is utterly superficial, and the same applies for the instances. From what I have seen, all the enemies can be approach the same. Do you have any good examples which could help support your claim?
I don't know, you haven't provided any good evidence thus far. Why should I?
Ok, here is my example - every enemy from level 1 - 25 is either melee or ranged and have no distinct abilities. They can all be approached in an identical manner, from Korriban to Nars Shaddaa, the npcs are the same bar how they look.
So please tell me what npc groups are different? Which need these different approaches because for 40% of the game I know that to be wrong.
