I guess I always has been swearing, for as long back as I can remember.

I've never seen it as something that amde you cool or special, nor has i seen it as something even remotely offensive, even though i know someone will cover their childrens ears, cause the're for some reason afraid that hearing teh word "fuck" will turn their spoiled little brats into serial kilelrs or something, it's just like adjectives (or adverbs can't rememebr which is which)

I still lol when i see foreign TV, and hear all the swearing BEEP'ed out.

Swearing really doesn't bother me, so I swear quite a lot (or, all the fucking time when I'm gaming because it relieves stress).
I started swearing when I was about eight or nine, but never in front of family. It's just the way I've been brought up. I dod censor myself around people who are offended by it (at least in the case of my family), because there's no need to create unneccessary bad-blood.

I don't swear all the time. Fuck that shit.

On a serious note, I do tend to swear in frustration if I'm gaming, because it's better than throwing my controller or breaking something for stress. However, I dislike those people who seem to, in Lewis Black's words, "use the word 'fuck' like a comma."

Everyone does it, it doesn't sound that bad anymore... Like a couple of years ago it was like when someone did it, people would go kill them (Overaggerating ofc). It's just become a part of our fucking language.

Ironic that your post contains "wtf", since it's an abbreviation of a swear word the sentiment is there whether or not you're saying the word in full or not.

I swear everytime I'm upset, it regulates my anger in a very good way.
I also have to agree to the Stephen Fry video.

I swear like a Navy-SEAL, well who wouldn't want to swear it relieves some anxiety in certain situations. Oh and did you know the most common word for people to say when they die is 'Shit!', who would've thunk it.

lolz anyway I don't swear THAT much, I do swear a bit and when I do I'm usually ranting about something.

I'm not shocked about swears, but mine are usually mild because I think they're more fun.

"Bollocks", "arse" and "wanker" are my preferred choices.

I usually personalise stronger words, such as with "fucksicles".

I generally tend to go in cycles. When I was younger, I thought somewhat that "ooooooo this is cool herr durr f*** tee hee tee hee". After a while though I became a little more mature and realized that it was immature to just cuss consitently. Today, I really only cuss if it were to add to a joke or if I am raging about something. Other than that, I think it is not needed and retarded.

Usually on a main basis however, I like to say things that sound terrible but aren't really cuss words. Things like "mother puss-bucket" and the like.

Why do people swear constantly? It's like people are trying to reach a record sometimes...

I'm 19 and I've never sworn (depending on what you consider a "swear", I guess).

I've never / don't feel the need for it. I don't have a problem with it. I just don't partake myself...

So, wtf people, what's up with all the swearing?!

(How much do you swear, and why do you swear period?)

Edit: A new thought! When and why did you start swearing? Was it was when you were a kid, because it seemed cool and edgy, or when you were semi-adult, because why not?
ok, you do know what "WTF" means dont you?? what do you consider to be "swearing"??

I just find it kind of contradictory that you use WTF and then condemn those who swear

I'm from Glasgow it's just part of the language here. People barely notice it.

It's more how its said than what's actually said.

it's very rare for me to swear, i try not to fall on that category of person... i'd say some people lack either of personal confidence, or just didn't had a proper education.
IE: a good slap in the face for swearing...

First off... wtf is a three letter acronym of (drummroll) a swearword.

OT: I swear a bit cause my parents and friends do, so I do it without thinking sometimes. However, most of the time I try to keep my language civil, if a bit snarky....
