Safe as usual in good old invincible Australia.

I think this will blow over soon enough, if it gets more serious then it will get lots of media hype like SARS did then it will disappear.
If it gets too close us Aussies will ride to the front line, mounted on our kangaroos and throw boomerangs till its dead or gone.
But, seriously where too far away too care right now.
Aussie Aussie Aussie!?
OI OI OI!

I think this new flu is great, another great culling of the human species is (perhaps) upon us soon the weak shall die and the strong will survive.

edit : "Anyone else feel bad for playing Pandemic or Pandemic 2 recently?"

no.

Aussie Aussie Aussie!?
OI OI OI!
Australians all let us rejoice,
For we are young and free;
We've golden soil and wealth for toil,
Our home is girt by sea;
Our land abounds in Nature's gifts
Of beauty rich and rare;
In history's page, let every stage
Advance Australia fair!
In joyful strains then let us sing,
"Advance Australia fair!"

When gallant Cook from Albion sail'd,
To trace wide oceans o'er,
True British courage bore him on,
Till he landed on our shore.
Then here he raised Old England's flag,
The standard of the brave;
With all her faults we love her still,
"Brittannia rules the wave!"
In joyful strains then let us sing
"Advance Australia fair!"

Beneath our radiant southern Cross,
We'll toil with hearts and hands;
To make this Commonwealth of ours
Renowned of all the lands;
For those who've come across the seas
We've boundless plains to share;
With courage let us all combine
To advance Australia fair.
In joyful strains then let us sing
"Advance Australia fair!"

While other nations of the globe
Behold us from afar,
We'll rise to high renown and shine
Like our glorious southern star;
From England, Scotia, Erin's Isle,
Who come our lot to share,
Let all combine with heart and hand
To advance Australia fair!
In joyful strains then let us sing
"Advance Australia fair!"

Shou'd foreign foe e'er sight our coast,
Or dare a foot to land,
We'll rouse to arms like sires of yore
To guard our native strand;
Brittannia then shall surely know,
Beyond wide ocean's roll,
Her sons in fair Australia's land
Still keep a British soul.
In joyful strains the let us sing
"Advance Australia fair!"

A few New Zealand students came back form a Mexican holiday and they are suspected of having it... Bloody Foreign Diseases! Get back to your own land! (and infect them :D )

Still its all "Suspect" at the moment and NZ was oen of the first to diagnose the disease,, so it probably wont go far here.

It might be in New Zealand already.
My dad is stockpiling emergency rations for when we have to leave the city for a month.
He's a doctor, and he's pretty scared.

pfft. its like the asian bird flu thing. too much hype.
Better safe than sorry though. If we don't take precautions, it might actually end up pretty badly. But since I can't get pork over here in Australia anyway, I guess it's a smidgen smaller problem.
