I prefer to be open-minded, if, say, one couple of siblings wants to do that sort of thing then I think other people's opinions probably shouldn't determine how they do things.
I like to follow the "Chill Out Rule," in which as long as someone is not being forced to do something unwillingly, it is probably ok. This obviously doesn't function perfectly, since most humans seem to be lacking a little in the mental department... but I have hope!

Seriously why is everyone for this incest to be legal???? It's sooooo wrong. I say keep the law! next thing they'll want is for pedophilia to be legal.
I would understand banning procreation, but they should lift the ban on sex.
And to anyone who thinks this would increase the rates of children born of incest: How many people seriously say "Man, I'd totally have sex with my sister if it weren't against the law?"
Generally, people either get stopped by social taboo, or do it.

I'm not really into incest, and I don't get all that hot over Switzerland either, so I'm going to say that this doesn't affect me at all . . . . well, that's my two cents worth.
As long as children aren't born, I see no qualms with it.

I support it simply because I like that whole idea of freedom. It doesn't affect me, I do hope they don't have kids... Maybe that one should be illegal. Since it falls under (probably) wrecking the child's life, so, yeah, if they have the freedom to have children, it might destroy someone else. Which is when laws should step in.

I'm probably wrong, but I would think that one reason incest is illegal, (other than ruining a gene pool) would be if a kid / parent had an Oedipus complex. A kid growing up believing that its O.K. to /love/ your mom-dad could strengthen an idea that, "No one else likes me but my Mom.. I wanna thank her for it" *shutter*. It would ruin the kid's freedom of choice by making them close-minded.
I guess I wouldn't have a problem with it as long as it didn't involve priming a child to grow up to age, then marrying them or what have you. Perhaps if two siblings grew up and parted ways for lots of years, then come back and that sappy moment happens, whatever. Their choice.

Incest has been fairly common in throughout history. In some places it still is. Also stop being such doom sayers. People actually can think for themselves, only because you needs 8and want) your government to think for you, doesn't mean everyone else needs it to.

I don't particularly care who someone decides to have a relationship with so long as both parties are reasonably capable of making the decision in an informed way. If a man decides he wants another man to be his life partner, who the hell am I to say they can't? And if one cousin wants to do the same with another why should I stand in the way?

well, no kidding, but as with all things, if your careful, nobody will get hurt in all the instances you've mentioned and a positive and safe outcome can be achieved, however, there are vitually no positive outcomes to incest, even if it's done safely.Arehexes said:

I mean, homosexuality is something completely natural, other animals do it too, but incest? Sure there are worse things, but the idea of me having sex with my sister or my niece or any other family member just seems...well gross actualy
