I just got into TF2. I really enjoy it, and it is easy to jump into when I have down time at work.
Wow, if you have it on 360 and you think it's good... You'd love it on PC, it's so much better,Hazzaslagga said:Tf2's epic storyline will keep pulling back gamers who have prehaps put it down.
In all seriousness i have not played it too much but did have fun. I also assume it's better on PC as i only have it on the xboox 360
Realistic doesn't have to equal dull.Victor Von Zeppelin said:MW2 too realistic and dull
Depends where you live, but I recommend The Red Room, an Australian server.Auric said:I to just got tf2 a couple of weeks ago.
Its fun, thats all there is to it, theres 9 unique classes to master, still a very active playerbase, and great characters.
I cant help but feel there isnt much variety though. I swear 75% of the servers are ALL 2fort (Which i find quite dull), and i can never find anything decent like cp_badlands.
True that.TheComedown said:tf2 will be going for a few more years AT LEAST id think. as for the updates they don't overcomplicated things at all, its just a matter of finding what works for you, every weapon has its goods and bads so every tactic can be counted everything is balanced perfectly. the only problem with the updates is when each new one is released and EVERYONE plays that one class, but give it a week or 2 and it dies down and goes back to normal
i dont know, i recon its gonna get really messed up when everyone is trying to play engie at the same time.. its going to be a sad week for tf2 im thinkingLegendsmith said:True that.TheComedown said:tf2 will be going for a few more years AT LEAST id think. as for the updates they don't overcomplicated things at all, its just a matter of finding what works for you, every weapon has its goods and bads so every tactic can be counted everything is balanced perfectly. the only problem with the updates is when each new one is released and EVERYONE plays that one class, but give it a week or 2 and it dies down and goes back to normal
Now that the engie is the only non-updated class, that problem isn't such a big one now.
It is worth noting the new unlockables for the engineer are likely going to give him more offensive/mobile capabilities, leaving the original sentry as a defensive weapon. Something like a quick-built unupgradable sentry.TheComedown said:i dont know, i recon its gonna get really messed up when everyone is trying to play engie at the same time.. its going to be a sad week for tf2 im thinking
if your looking for people to play with look no further then the escapist tf2 group we have our own servers you know which play all the mapsAuric said:I to just got tf2 a couple of weeks ago.

doesnt really bother me that much as to what it is as i rarely play as the engie.. i usually play scout, so im going to have to figure out another plan for that week when each team will have @ least 5 SGs on the CPs.Katana314 said:It is worth noting the new unlockables for the engineer are likely going to give him more offensive/mobile capabilities, leaving the original sentry as a defensive weapon. What I get out of TF2 is that it keeps its longevity. It's been 3 years since the original, and I'm not any more tired of it. Meanwhile, other multiplayer games have come and gone for me.
I still play Team Fortress Classic. I'm updating to TF2 soon, but hey, why fix what isn't broken?GIJames said:TF2 will never be out of date. I mean, people still play Team Fortress Classic and it's been what, 11 years?
Yes, I agree, CSS and TF2 are all I play, really. They are not getting old at all, after years. In fact, we are awaiting the Engineer update for TF2 right now. They have massive player bases still, and will be around long after MW2 gets old. I mean, it only takes a year for a CoD game to be out of fashion (Havent heard a single word about MW1 or CoD:WaW in the past year), but ten years for a valve game to get old.SonicKoala said:Well, I just played CounterStrike about an hour ago, and damn is that game hard to get used to after all the Modern Warfare I've been playing. That being said, it really seems like both Team Fortress 2 and CS: Source have their dedicated fan bases, and they really are games that people can come back to after a while and enjoy. Frankly, I don't think a game like Modern Warfare is even good enough to "de-throne" FPS classics such as CS and TF2.
