I've never once been team killed in BFBC2. In CoD I don't care, I suck so much that who kills me usually doesn't matter to me. In Halo team kills are usually hilarious and accidental (splatter kills ftw) but when it's undeniably on purpose I generally boot them.

I have a 3 strike thing in BC2.
-Kill me once and I let it slide, even if you're chasing me with a friggin shotgun, there is a slim chance you think I'm hostile.
-Kill me twice and I switch squads.
-Kill me three times and I'll repeatedly kill you and make it look like an accident.

The only time I recall tking on purpose is when someone tried to steal my care package when close, but still far enough away for him to get it before I could. Shot him right in the face.

Hello fellow Escapists. I was recently playing Battlefield bad company 2 and it seems that every other game I enter, my own team kill me over and over again for a whole load of reasons, from me helping them destroy a tank, to them getting ahead of me to get a helicopter. So, I put this to you, what do you do in a team killing situation? Do you kill them back? report them? rage quit? (which is completely understandable in this case)

Personally, I do all three... (unless it is an accident, then I tend to let it slide)

Also, what games have you found that team killing happens regularly? Do we have any team klllers on this site?
I have rarely been team-killed in BF:BC2, and the times that I have were accidental. Do you play the HC servers?

BF2 was another matter. TKs were quite common if you were about to jump into someone's coveted jet.

No offense, but that was dog move. If you can't get to it, let your team benefit from it, seriously. It was pathetic watching people rage over team members benefiting from a the supply drop in MW2.

A team is only as strong as the weakest link.

Get rid of him/her as fast as possible, preferably with a method that leaves his/her ego in such shambles they never play online again.

It depends on the game. I haven't played a lot of games that allow TKing, so I only have a couple specific stories to share.

First off, I was playing Saints Row MP before I learned that it was both shit and filled with people who team kill to try and up their KDR. I start a match, and some dude on my team comes up and kills me. Okay. Then he starts going around killing other people on our team too. I spawn again and he comes after me again. Since I already figured out that he's doing it on purpose, I fired back at him in self defense. I managed to kill him and he quit out right after rather than respawn and risk getting more deaths from me not allowing him to just kill me. And then I reported him after the match was over.

Second is Red Dead Redemption. Usually in co-op on the River level, some douchebag will throw a fire bottle onto the raft so that all the other characters fall over on fire and then fall off the raft. Since I had it on PS3, my only option was usually to quit playing for a while, because it has no reporting or player controls built in like Xbox Live does and leaving the match to try and join a new one would just put you right back in the game you just left. There was nothing else you could really do to those dicks either. You could try firebottling him back the next time you respawn, but you'd throw everyone else off too and then you'd become a douchebag too rather than just a guy defending himself from a griefer.

...That's about it really. The only other games I really played were Killzone 2 and 3, and most of the time friendly fire is off. And in the instances it was on, I never ended up in a game with team killers. If I did though, I would have done the same thing as the Saints Row situation: start shooting back once I'd identified a teammate as a team killer.

Since when was there friendly fire in BFBC2?

If the team killing will persist, I will try to get rid of the TK-er. If for some reason this isn't possible, I leave the match. No sense trying to play just so some asshole can crush my attempts to have fun.

Why would I have to waste my time doing such a thing?
It's your responsibility not to be rubbish.

I only play the HC servers, it is usually a lot easier but I had one guy kill me because I was running towards the helicopter. When I actually got in the helicopter as a gunner, the pilot landed, got out, shot and killed me and then proceeded to fly the helicopter. I had never experienced team killing on BF:BC2 before but since recently going back to it, it seems like everyone has a vendetta against me...

That's a pretty dog move. If it were me, I'd shoot them in revenge :)

I don't play HC often, if at all, because I don't trust the community with FF on, and there's a bit more of a challenge in playing vanilla mode. Were you having a bad game?

In Halo: Reach if they do it once, I'll antagonize them into doing it again so I can boot them out of the game and continue about my merry way. :p

heres a concept, how about an anti achievement/trophy;
for instance, if playing your generic multiplayer shooter and someone kills X ammount of team mates within X ammount of time, they earn a anti-chievement witch removes X ammount of thier precious gamerscore?

also make it a renewable achievement (earnable more than once)
any further input on this?

Not at all, I was top of the scoreboard. To be honest though, that is not saying much considering all the others were in minus score...

Am I playing with random strangers online? Ignore the team-killers completely and just get on with the game.

Am I playing with IRL friends? I'm the one doing the team-killing.

Im pretty casual with my games, so it doesnt bother me too much, but I can see that its annoying.

I too play BC2, and ive teamkilled a few times, on accident. Mostly accidentally switching to rocket rather than repair tool.

I was just playing it, and had a teamkill situation. When I get a new weapon, new scope, or just havent used one in a long time, I fire at a wall to get an idea of how it works. I did it today, and some guy ran past, injuring, but not killing him. He turned round and stared at me for a good 10 seconds before walking off. It was rather nervewracking.

Also, what is HC?

If its an accident, then I don't blame them.
I got so many accidental teamkills in AoC lol.

If they are teamkilling on purpose I just run away from spawn, then avoid them, and report them to an admin.

You know how to prevent Team killings don't you? Just detonate a bomb to send you back in time, and then turn off the "friendly fire" option.....

Theres a whole clan over at Red Dead Redemption on the 360 that are always guaranteed to team kill if they land in your posse...

Plus alot of new players tend to team kill in Grab The Bag or Hold Your Own matches... Plus they always tend to kill you at the worst possible times, like right in the middle of the map instead of a more safer place like near your base...

If someone kills me more than 3 times, I hunt them down.

Some guy kept killing me in Red dead redemption for no reason, so I followed him into another game then used a sniper rifle to pick him off from a distance when he was on a horse. Then I left to play another game.

He sent me a message screaming down the mic. He was only about 12 though. Plus - I did tell him to stop killing me (no one else in the game was)
