I would gladly kill all humans just so there wouldn't even be those few assholes around doing shit like that. Sure animals kill each other, but they didn't set fire to that cat to eat it? Those innocent human lives are worth nothing to me, animals are alot more innocent. Teens are all assholes anyway :/

Firstly, animals are not innocent, because they have no ability to be 'evil' more any morals at all. (Except dolphins who hunt, rape and beat for fun). What's so great about innocence anyway? What does it matter if they eat it or not? Surely you'd think it worse if they did.

If it was my cat then it would not be worthless, but as it stands it was either their cat, a street cat or a stolen cat. That means that it was unlikely to survive/give anyone pleasure/make more cats. So yes, it is worthless. Especially in comparison to what even one of those blokes could achieve.

Sure they should get comeupance but it should be lawful. Its all well and good having principles, but where do you draw the line if you don't stick rigidly to the law?

Of course, from a logical standpoint, one would agree with you. Of course one should receive just, lawfully-abiding punishment for a crime of animal cruelty. However, what you still fail to realize - and what is starting to irritate me, is that by trying to shoot down my standpoint, you are, in fact, siding with THEM on some standpoints.

The way your opinion sounds to me is this: "The cat is worthless because it belonged to them or was stolen - therefore having little in the way of life expectancy - and so therefore it is okay, or at least reasonable, to SET THE DAMN THING ON FIRE."

And did the words "we should kill them" come from my fingers? No. What I said is that they should receive "swift, ironic justice". That could mean absolutely anything, as long as it is appropriate punishment they deserve for inflicting unnecessary torture upon a living, breathing creature. Maybe they go home, still laughing about their sick game, and while making something on the stove, some grease or something splashes up into their hair, setting it ablaze. They scream, their scalp is singed, and they come out of the situation more miserable than ever.

I NEVER promote murder as an answer, sir. Thank you very much. Unless we happen to speak on the matter of Hitler. Then yes, take the fucker down.

What I cannot understand is why people are actually ARGUING the validity of this crime. Cats mean less in potential and importance than humans? Humanity isn't lost because of this one act? Has everyone gone mad? Look at the blatant facts: a group of sick fucks set a CAT on FIRE, and watched it run around, burning to death, losing body parts, and LAUGHING. Should ANY living creature, be it with or without opposable thumbs, be burned to death in an alley with people laughing at its misery? NO.
What these guys did was WRONG, terribly WRONG, and they need to be punished in whatever way necessary. A little irony wouldn't hurt, either, just to get the message across.

I disagree with the idea of ironic justice all togethor. They should recieve lawful justice. Of course I don't promote killing a cat. Ironic justice, and what you just described, comes under cruel and unusual punishment. Obviously you're suggesting that the universe would do it, not a person. Well if it were the universe then I'd insist that the universe keeps its nose out of human affairs.

But aren't humans the Universe's affair in the first place? I mean, everyone evolved from some point within the development of the Universe.

Basically all am sayin is that in general this happens all the time, for the same reason, but noone blinks when it happens to livestock, yet everyone goes nuts when it happens to something cute. Am I the only person who thinks there might be a flaw in logic here?

They don't, but they do live in poor conditions, burned alive at the end or whole life with 30cm^3 of room to move, they're both horrible.
