Not really.johnx61 said:A similar game was already made. It's called Doom 3, you might have heard of it. No one liked that idea either.Thy-Art-Is-Awesome said:Imagine this. I'm going to paint a picture with my words here.
Imagine the Halo series...but DARKER. Like the same enemies, plot, weapons and characters, just not the bright, sunny, cheery graphics and noises. Say the graphics of CoD: WaW, but for the Halo series.
Give me your opinion.. tell me if that's not a good picture.
That was at least competent at what it did. It at least had the right atmosphere for what it was presenting. It was presenting Hell, demons, zombies and futuristic-ness. If I remember Halo's plot right, it goes something like,
Aliens think rings will save them. Kill humans to get it to save them. Rings actually made to stop flood by cutting off food supply. This means all things in universe die. MC stops them WAHEY!!. That seems pretty dark and evil yeah? Destroy EVERYTHING!?
Right, but the game itself doesn't reflect that. It's all bright and sunny. Doom3 had a story that was dark and evil and involved Hell. This was seen in the game. With the dark corridors and tense atmosphere. That's what I'm saying Halo should've done.
