I understand you have your rights and all, but a blog against children? Really?

Here, let me tell you why I do want kids:

I would like to be partially responsible for the human race to continue. If everyone went child free, bye bye us!
It's not against children, it's just reasons why being childfree is so great.
Face it, people who don't want children face a lot of pressure in life due to our choices.
Plus, there are TONS of child based magazines out there, but how many for those who don't want kids?
So you're just raising hell for the sake of attention then? I mean, again, I understand that you have rights, but why are you pushing this? Do you really face pressure? Do people really come up to you and your wife and spit on you, kick you, degrade you, all because they see you without a child?

and some people say that having kids is awesome. I dunno.
Lies my friend, all lies.
Do you have kids? If not, your point is invalid; if you do, hell, maybe something's wrong with you. It would make sense that animals evolved a love for children and such to make it more enjoyable to procreate, and thus make it more likely that they will have children. But that's just speculation.

There are plenty of magazines for people who don't want kids. Any magazine about any hobby counts, really, because it tells you what to do with all that surplus money and time that you have by not having kids.

I'm 18, so thats why. Too young.

As for if I want them in the future, I say no right now. Mainly because I would make a horrible parent.

Things may change in the future. We shall see...

I don't know if I want kids. I'm 28 years old with no social life to speak of. At this point kids are the least of my concerns. I have to find someone to have kids with first, and from where I'm standing right now, that's looking like a damn near impossible task.

Reason why I don't want kids: I fucking hate them. Thank my asshat of a brother for ruining my enthusiasm. Unfortunately, my dad likes to counter argue me with "Then what are you good for?!" which pisses me off to no end... Now I'm secretly hoping to contract some kind of uterus disease so I never have to listen to his crap again.

I've wasted 4 years raising my niece (and stopped late last year when the girl was reclaimed). After having that learning experience forced on me, there's no way in hell I want a child of my own, but am knowledgeably ready for the task.

I can still hear the piercing screams wherever there's silence.

6 billion humans is main, my mother was diabetic (skipped me though) and I wouldn't wish to inflict on another is secondary.

We'll probably adopt sooner or later though.

I got married about 10 months ago. We're child-free because we wanted at least two years where we could just enjoy each other, go on trips, and be spontaneous. But, we won't always be child-free. We're excited about having them when we do.

24 here, and as I am now, I'd be a pretty irresponsible father.
I don't want to end my spontaneous lifestyle quite yet.

Because I'm not done being me yet. Because I've never been in a situation where I've looked at the woman I've been with and thought "I need to get this girl pregnant. She's the perfect mother." Because I'm still in school and won't have the high-paying job for another two or three years.

And all that having been said, at least part of the reason I've not yet become a father is because despite having way too much irresponsible unprotected sex, the one time I DID accidentally get a girl pregnant, she didn't want to keep the baby (thank the gods, I wouldn't want to have to deal with her.) So luck's played a role.
