Final Fantasy 13 was my game of the year, it had a great story , great characters, the combat was intense and exciting, unlike other ffs the main story is actually challenging and has undeniably the greatest graphics in gaming history

KH bbs deserves an honourable mention too for being kick-ass

I see those being the contenders in the end. Although I've only played all of the listed, besides GoW3, GoW3 was one of the, what three games, that got a 10 this year.

Mass Effect 2. Yup, I'm not going to play the original card, sorry OP.

It's the only game that gave me goosebumps in around 10 years or so.

I would argue SC:2, but the majority of gamers, I can easily believe, are console gamers. Although I do have a good mix between PC (on SC and WoW), and console, but I can see more people being console gamers over PC.

If more people do play PC games, then I'd say SC:2 has an excellent chance at getting GOTY

Alan wake, IMO the best story in any game ive played.

although im yet to play new vegas and oblivian and fallout3 are my 2 fav games so theirs a good chance that will take over as GOTY when i play it

So far it's either Fallout: New Vegas or Golden Sun Dark Dawn. I haven't played Golden Sun yet, but I know it's going to be awesome.

GOTY for sheer scope - Fallout: New Vegas
GOTY for a brilliant original experience - Vanquish
