Honestly, if there's a crowd of people calling for blood and you try to swoop in as Mr. Rational telling them they're overreacting, the result will *always* be that a portion of the group turns on you while the rest carry on as though uninterrupted.

The way I see it is that if they're stupid and naive enough to become enraged by someone's (fictitious or otherwise) opinion, mainly and especially so when the person is intentionally trying to make people mad, they deserve it. Yeah, I saw that. Pretty much everyone on my friends is screaming about it. As much of an asshole as whoever made the page is, you have to give it to 'em, they're probably one of the most successful trolls you've ever seen.

OT: I actually attended a seminar, led by trained behavior analysts, for dealing with angry people recently. The first thing they said? Never try to make an angry person not angry. It just makes them angrier. Just leave them to stew off their anger.

While I agree with you I also think the page is harmless and the people who comment on it are stupid. Someone could come up to you and say every bad thing under the sun and the simple solution is to just not care. I could go and insult every person I know about everything and it wouldn't do any actual harm unless they were foolish enough to let it.
