Ooh Fallout and Final Fantasy VII are tied for 15th. The battle of the genre defining games of 1997 begins. I personally find this interesting cause both did so much to shape and change the RPG genre, if you?re ever curious as to when JRPGs and WRPGs officially split into two different camps it's these two games.

JRPGs embraced epic cinematic narrative and WRPGs embraced non-linearity with choices and consequences. Which will win?

(also quick note to the dude above me, EA released Mass Effect as well.)
