The Only really hard games I know about that I've actually played are Project Snowblind and Star Wars Republic Commando. Seriously. I could'nt beat Republic Commando without cheats and never beat Snowblind.
It justifies difficult in a one-trick pony sort of way. If high precision jumps is all you have going for you then that is going to be mastered quickly.crimson5pheonix said:The accurate jumps aren't justified difficulty? I will admit that the kaizo trap is just mean spirited, but he uses it sparingly.crudus said:I 100% agree with this list
That would be called the Kaizo Mario hack(according to Cracked it is also known as "Dude, why are you such an asshole?"). It however isn't the hardest game. It is just tricky. The reason it seems difficult is because it just creates pinpoint accuracy jumps and cheap deaths.Brombaq said:Asshole Mario
[Or whatever the name is]
Its by far the sickest and hardest game EVAR
Watch most LP's and tell me that. Besides, there's not much in Mario besides platforming. The only way to increase difficulty past that is luck based game play.crudus said:It justifies difficult in a one-trick pony sort of way. I have and did. I have seen some clever things to make Mario hard that don't involve precision jumps, invisible coin blocks, or the dubbed Kaizo Trap.crimson5pheonix said:Watch most LP's and tell me that. The last two are indeed fake difficulty, but precision platforming is all of what Mario is.crudus said:I have and did. wow you can cut the smugness with a knife. I know people who had an easy time with a Zelda game and I know people would disagree with DMC3 being up there. Some games are just easier for some people. That doesn't make it any less hard for the rest of us.RAKtheUndead said:WRONG! I've played both, and Grand Prix Legends makes even the unforgiving F-Zero GX look like "Tomy's First Racing Game". Honestly, you will not win a race unless you're of a standard to race cars professionally.crudus said:I 100% agree with this list

Yeah, you don't mess with that.
True, there are fewer bullets, but the ones i see on the video you provided are very patterned.PoisonUnagi said:How about you go play rRootage, THEN make a decision.(whitty name here) said:Pfft. Yeah, you don't mess with that.
Actually, it does get a bit harder than rR a ways through....

heres a clip for touhou 11: Subterranean Animism
Because Touhou looks like rRootage with less bullets, more enemies, and less difficulty.
