Epic, Fail, and 1337 speak.
I hate these, not because of the community overusing them, but because someone I know misuses it horribly.
"Oh, I see you got a 'C' there, Ryan."
"Yep, that was an epic fail."

"Ryan, why do you have the numbers 1334 on your folder?"
"I be speaking leet, *****."
"The 4 is an a."
"No, its not."
"Yes, yes it fucking is."
"No, it is not. 4 is the H, you dumb-ass."
"No Ryan, I'm fucking telling you, 4 is an A."

I also hate the word "noob" considering that I usually end up being called that for the first few month I play a game. Yeah, I know I suck, but seriously, does it make the game any more fun for you to acknowledge that?

noob - the term is thrown around so callously that it's just beyond ridiculous. Oh the game just came out today? And you haven't been playing since 12:01 am when I got my copy and said, "Well, I don't have a job, I'm going to go be the only person online playing this game for the next 6 hours." Good for you, I'm a noob, now kiss my ass.
This. At least the term newbie can be used respectively.
"Newbie" also sounds incredibly cute, at least to me.
Newbie implies an indifference on skill; as to say they are just new to the game, and thats not a thing to hate. Noob, however, is a derogatory term. I'd also like to say it is used too much. Plus the average 360 owner is about eight years old and has a vocabulary rivaling that of a... Well, Twenty-three year old on LIVE.
Also, Newbie does sound incredibly cute.

Epic win, epic fail, epic anything, casual/hardcore gamer, uber [adjective], 1337, noob, pwned, owned, "HEADSHOT!", yeah headshots are cool but is it really necessary to point them out all the time?

Not so much a term but a behavior in games...bitching every single time you die, regardless of whether or not the kill was fair. For example, this guy on XBL in Bad Company last night sounded something like this: "Aw, that was BULLSHIT dude! I keep getting targeted every freakin' 5 seconds! BULLSHIT! I shot this guy like 50 times and he still killed me! What, is he wearin' titanium armor or something? BULLSHIT! How did that tiny tank take me out? HORSE SHIT, dude!"

It was funny for a few minutes. Then it just became incredibly annoying. Yeah, you'll die a lot, especially as an Attacker on a server with the maximum amount of people when it's particularly chaotic. Dying sucks but don't let everyone know about it for chrissakes.

Generally I'm fine with all of them, but there is one I loathe above just about everything else: "BR". As in Battle Rifle. I punch anyone who says that in the head.

Hardcore or casual, uber, although noob wouldn't be so bad but it's used to often as something negative or insulting. Pretty much expressions don't bother me but any sort of gaming "label" ugh. just lame.

Amen. Amen. Also, I must say that I can't say that "uber" is always bad. Its German, so my beef is that if you say a German word, follow it up with a GERMAN word; actually make sense.

Pretty much anything that comes out of the mouth of immature assholes online who's sole purpose is to get in a fight or make someone mad. I just don't get it! How can you have so much hate for someone that's playing the game better or worse then you are.

But in particular "Noob!" is really annoying, just because I don't rack up 6 hours every day doesn't mean I'm a "Noob".

Also "lol" or "lolz" and i don't know why but emoticons like :) or :( really make me mad.

1337speak.
This has only ever been funny once. If you are a fan and own the first season of The IT Crowd on DVD. Goto options and turn on the 1337 subtitles. Even then these are only funny because a few minutes of subtitles are just Counter-Strike phrases.

People who play music or quotes through their microphone in Online games, TF2 for example.

World of Warcraft abbreviations. LF3M UBRS Need Rog,Mag and Heals.
Fucking say it normally.

I have friends who routinely use "win" and "fail" as nouns and interjections in real life. None of them are gamers or really closely tied to internet culture.

RL, or real life (like some of the people playing even have lives) it is really creepy when people say "RL" over voice chat
