This, when it's not used to describe a game made by Epic Games. Also, I'm sick of hearing the term "Shovelware" used to describe the Wii's software line-up; if you want quality games, that aren't just re-treads of the same old thing, you need to wait. Just because the Wii doesn't have a ton of blockbuster titles released each month doesn't mean that Nintendo doesn't care anymore.

'Clip'

It's a MAGAZINE goddammit! Call it a 'mag' if 'magazine' is too long, but clip is INCORRECT.

Movies do this also...
I've noticed that too. Annoying, but ignorable.
It gets really funny whenever I take one of my sisters shooting, she says 'clip' I say 'magazine', then in response to me she starts saying 'magazineclip'.

*twitch*

Also, I hate it when people go 'LEEROY JENKINS!', your WoW in-joke probably still wouldn't be funny to me even if I knew what the hell you were talking about. Which I don't. So why are you saying it to me like I do?
really all of the leroy jenkins people who say that still should be hit by a trucker saying nothing else except......"LEROOOOOY JENKINS" while that trucker falls off a cliff.

Haha, I can't believe I forgot 1337, may the gaming lord smite me. Douche is also annoying, especially because i'm british and I do not understand the word, I just associate it with adolescent american teens.

God I hate this on so many levels.
my god, i left that one out. you know what? anyone who leet speaks should die in a fire
I played Halo 3 with one fanboy and his GT was "E1337 Spartan". It was even funnier when he was one of the worst players in the game XD

/fail
thats' a fanboy for ya, or an obnoxious one at that.

Quite obnoxious, especially when he's shrieking into his mike about noobs and the "normandy hill" on sandtrap. Or when he nearly cried because he missed an icarly episode, and the whole team could hear him.

"pwn" because people pronounce the P as a P. Last I checked, you say "own" but the P is an intentional typo.

"n00bs" because it has such an immature tone now because of the "l33t g4/\/\3P\$" and the little kids who use it without reason. Newbie is OK though.

"MLG" just because I hate that organization.

yea our whole team just laughed for the rest of the match. i once played an infection map with his friends too. it was piss easy- all they would do is go to "normandy" and sit in the sniper box till 6 zombies hungry for cerebrum got shoved down their throats.

ironically, my little brother watches icarly, and he's 12.

On about 1337 levels? Har har har.

Seriously though, I can't think of any terms I really hate.. I only hate certain behaviour in gaming. I play WoW and I love it, but there are a lot of absolute jackasses in there! Luckily, there are plenty of nice people who think before they say something, so it evens out.

Hells yes! I never got involved in those type of arguments, gaming isn't Karate where Casual Gamers are the fat kids or something it's just FRICKIN' gaming

I think I'll save myself the time it would take to list them and go with "All terms in gaming."

I long for the day where it is mandatory for all players to speak like posh Victorian Englishmen/women.

If you play Gears or Halo on Xbox Live, the words '******' and 'douche' get VERY old.
Those words don't take long to wear out their welcome, believe me.

Hardcore and casual.
I remember watching a video on YouTube of a guy playing MUGEN, and any time he had to say the words "casual gamer", they were dripping with a tone that could only be described as seething hatred. I wished the guy would pull the 30-food supremacy rod out of his ass.

noob - the term is thrown around so callously that it's just beyond ridiculous. Oh the game just came out today? And you haven't been playing since 12:01 am when I got my copy and said, "Well, I don't have a job, I'm going to go be the only person online playing this game for the next 6 hours." Good for you, I'm a noob, now kiss my ass.
This. At least the term newbie can be used respectively.

uber... 1337... Pwn... n00b...

I'm guilty of most of the mentioned but it doesn't mean I don't hate them. They get lodged up there and won't go away.

My vocab is ruined.

"Newbie" also sounds incredibly cute, at least to me.

I second that. MLG is lame.
I dislike MLG too, mainly cos my ex wouldn't shut up about how he and his best friend came first at CoD2 back in 06..

LOLacaust does my nut in when said. Same with LOL and people saying roffle.

At least I can say that I definitely used to use the term "uber" before it was big in gaming... at least before I got into gaming, so i couldn't ahve known about it... is that circular reasoning?
