But that's part of what makes them so awesome. It adds to their crappy B-movie charm/appeal. It's especially good in Typing of the Dead, where the entire premise is just so silly that all the other stuff like the voice acting just works for some reason.xavierxenon said:The only ones that really come to mind are the first two house of the dead games.
ill have to back this one up, i love all of jeniffer hale's work, except for femshep, i can't stand playing femshep with audio.HG131 said:I've never heard that one. Funny thing, Kaidan is played by the guy who played Carth in KoTOR.Kungfu_Teddybear said:Aye I know who it is. But she just sounds so.. off in Mass EffectHG131 said:Really? That's Jennifer Hale [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jennifer_Hale], a (voice) actress that has been heard by almost every gamer. Jennifer Mui, Femshep, Bastila Shan, and plenty, PLENTY more.Kungfu_Teddybear said:I really dislike the voice acting of Mass Effect's female Shepard. She almost sounds male.
The Megaman one is my favorite where he messes up the line and almost calls Megaman something else, but they actually kept the take and put it in the final product...meganmeave said:These threads always make me watch this video.
So bad, I laugh every time I hear them.
I really didn't care for Male Shep. He sounded like a zombie who forgot he couldn't talk.
I still can't get over the fact that each of them has 2 voices that swap randomly depending on what you ask them.Frozen Donkey Wheel2 said:Oblivion. Seriously, what was the deal with those beggars?

I prefer Jennifer Hale beacause male Shepard sounds like a total army tool. 'Sir, yes sir!' Hale sounds like someone who has her own mind, even if she is military.Lord Mountbatten Reborn said:Same here. Even though it's Jennifer Hale, I still don't understand why people say to choose her over male Shep. She just sounds... off.Kungfu_Teddybear said:I really dislike the voice acting of Mass Effect's female Shepard. She almost sounds male.
Oh dear god, some conversations in the game made me cringe... Actually, Nina's voice actress was pretty bad to begin with; her voice was so high and winy. Sounded like someone was scraping metal with a fork.Proverbial Jon said:Also Secret Files: Tunguska is a pretty good game but has some laughable voice acting in places. Couldn't find an appropriate video though.
I've actually heard this complaint a lot and I didn't understand it at first, until I noticed something.Kungfu_Teddybear said:I really dislike the voice acting of Mass Effect's female Shepard. She almost sounds male.
It was just awful. But it is quite amazing, like you said, how lenient people were. Watching that video too, some of those older games are so...relaxed in their acting!Aisaku said:I'm surprised no one's mentioned the original RESIDENT EVIL. Kinda shows how lenient people used to be about voice acting.
Oh my god YES! lol great video! They had a real hard-on for attacking Extermination but that game was terrible.meganmeave said:These threads always make me watch this video.
