There are no words to describe the evil in the mind(s) of the perpetrator(s), nor the sorrow in our hearts today.

Sammen skal vi igjen reise oss.

Yes, it is. But that was not my point.
I don't like that they try put all muslims in the same group!

Racism is just going to get worse in this country after this.
Yea it doesnt help their cause. If there is more of this, next election in Sweden I'm voting SD. And I doubt I will be alone in doing so.
Aside from the fact that this has evidently nothing to do with any Islamist group, what on earth do you think that SD would be able to revert such acts of terrorism? I mean, how do you even see a connection? It's preposterous.

Q: When is a religious fundamentalist mass murderer just a madman?
A: When he's a white christian fundamentalist.
The sheep started crying terrorism right away, trying to unify the herd through religion and nationalism.

Then after some time, it was known that the perpetrator was a white christian nationalist nutbag, just like the sheep.

I suppose this leaves me with one question... Why Norway? What did THEY do?
I can only guess why but it probably has something to do with shattering the illusion of safety the people of Norway have. No matter what do to not piss anyone off, you are never safe and that man proves it.

Admittedly I was wrong, but when I wrote that comment extreme islamic groups had come out saying they had done this.

Anyway I dont want to debate this here since I dont want to get banned.

Apparently this guy bought 6 tons of fertilizer. Now, unless you're planning to work in some kind of major greenhouse project, this guy was just out for maximum destruction. Six tons! I hate to think about what kind of damage this guy could've done if all six tons were used in one attack.

Unreal, man.[/quote]
If you own a large farm, 6 tons isn't very much. The supplier probably thought he had a lot of large fields and thought nothing of it. I'm not sure what the soil in Norway is like, so my (little) knowledge of farming in Scotland can't apply in Norway. If soils are poorer than here, then yes, 6 tons for farming does not seem totally out of the question, and could explain how he was able to get hold of such a large amount of it at once.

I'm not sure if he used all 6 tons, but I saw the destruction...wow. Its the shootings I'm more shocked about though. The only thing I can say is that I hope he stays in a maximum security prison.

It was an act of terrorism.

And like 93% of all acts of terrorism, it was perpetrated on home soil by a member of the country attacked.

The undercurrent of hate in europe towards innocent muslims has shown its ugly face, and taken the lives of innocents. The right thing to do is to reject views of hatred that foster such violence.

Hate and desperation are what breed terror, not any one religion or faith.

They just confirmed it on TV2!

This is the shooter and the man behind the bombs!
https://twitter.com/#!/AndersBBreivik

He sees himself as a conservative christian and nationalist, and may have relations within the extreme right-wing.
Just saw it too, so confirmed. What a magnificent christian... killing children for their political affiliation... wonder what part of his faith covers that. Im disgusted he can even consider himself christian. Doesnt make my and other true christians life easy.
uuuggghhh....you know a fuck ton of people are going to ***** about how Christianity was behind this even though the attack was probably politically motivated and the act of one mentally unstable asshole who just happened to consider himself christian....even though this is 2011 and Christians don't truly act like this. (neither do ACTUAL Muslims either)

hell it even happened on this thread before people knew who did it!
But we reap what we sow. People will reach the conclusion you mentioned and draw those connections because that's the kind of thinking currently rewarded by our sensationalist, fast food culture. Far too much reasoning, wisdom and logic is required here than what our Twitter-sized thoughts have been conditioned to take.

Oh, I can see the sound bites and catchy headlines too. Of course it was because he was Christian! people will cry. OR, they will attest that it was solely political and Christianity had nothing to do with it. And they'll say so with no sense of irony at all, for all the bashing done previously against Muslims and Jews.

There'll be a tonne of fingers pointing, knee-jerk bannings of various 'harmful influences', a cacophony of raised voices, and most likely nothing much will change because of it. In a few weeks, somebody else will commit an atrocity to draw our attention, and then ... 'goto 10'.

The worst part is that all the tragedy and pain will become ammunition for so many private agendas. It's insulting.

(PS, I think that Twitter feed is an example of such exploitation. I can only see one tweet and the photo is from the same batch used in the papers. Correct me if I'm wrong. Maybe he was new to Twitter.)
whoa!....i just read that in morgan freemans voice and it sounded epic.

This picture is one of my favourites:
[HEADING=3]Per capita intentional homicide.[/HEADING]
[sub]Deeper blue = higher homicide rate.[/sub]

Yeah, clearly gun control isn't working out for us at all.

Yeah they tend to be done per 100 000 which mean makes the numbers accurate not matter how many more people your country has.
