Medic. A constant stream of health and temporary invincibility basically on demand?

Excellent.

Probably Scout. Not only would I enjoy his company, but he's loudly violent. The other eight classes could pretty much blend into a crowd and not cause a scene. A lanky kid hopped-up on energy drinks, waving a baseball bat around and throwing out insults on every other breath is a sure sign not to get close to me.
Giant minigun-wielding Russian that eats sandviches is definitely not going to blend into a crowd. I'm also pretty sure no one will mess with you if he's around either.

So yeah pretty much the Heavy.

Spy hands down. I hate to be unoriginal but yeah, he'd be able to find the killer before he got to me and kill him first.

The Spy is the obvious choice for me.

He can disguise himself as an unarmed Heavy to discourage people from starting anything, but if they do, *BANG* shot in the head with the ambassador (monsieur with this rocher you're really spoiling us)

Also if people are woried if he is realy on their side just get him to fire his weapon so you can see his true colours shinning through before you employ him.

Engineer, his sentry could protect me, and his teleporter could take me away to a safe place whilst he whacks the ***** with his wrench

I would say the heavy, but I don't want that $400,000 bill, so either he has to stick to his fists, or I'm using the Spy, if only for the look on my would-be killer's face when he realised a knife was in his back.

Engineer would be a good choice, just set a level 3 sentry at my house, and I'm good. Even when we leave the house, he still has a shotgun.

Heavy is also good, because if someone somehow manages to avoid death by his bullet spewing Sasha, he could still pummel them with his bare hands. Plus, he has an unlimited supply of magical healing sandviches.

I wouldn't trust the spy with my life for a second. For all I know, he could be working for the person trying to kill me (if not, they could easily buy him off). The other characters would probably be loyal to me for rescuing them from a life of constant killing. Except maybe the soldier. He loves killing too much.

Pyro.

S/He Can't complain or anything if something goes wrong.
Although they also couldn't say "DUCK" or "BEHIND YOU"

I'd still take the pyro though. Me like fire.

Sniper, he doesn't need to be near me so I can coax out the assassin then the assassin gets assassinated.

I'd totally take the medic, if i get hit or anything, he has a medigun to keep me alive, and when im all fine he cant start hacking with his saw or shooting frigging needles!

Probably the Scout, his scattergun is stupid powerful up close. He's also funny.
I would give him $5 extra an hour if he said "BONK!" every 15 minutes.
