Well I got hooked on many games, but 3 really stand out for me.

Super Smash Bros. (The first one for N64)
The Halo Series (My best friend hooked me on this very quickly, and we still play on today)
World of Warcraft (Almost wrecked my life, but it is the best MMORPG I have played to date)

Guitar Hero.

Easy to pick up, difficult to master, limitless replay value. Its the only game that I currently play consistently and that I'm actually really good at.

I'm stuck in the old "one more FC/100%" rut at the moment...its taking up what little spare time I have.

Space Invaders.

Damn you people I feel so old.

But still, those little bastards shuffling across the screen got the better of me time after time...

After that it was flight simulator and Monkey Island. Monkey Island rules!

Hi my name is Dazvik and I'm a World of Warcraft addict. When I play, it makes me fell alive. Is that so wrong. *breaks down crying*

But seriously, Blizzard has ruined my social life. Starcraft, Warcraft, Diablo, Diablo II... the list go on.

Age of Empires 1 and 2...it took aways so many summers from my life, and made me put on so much weight. It also got me into RTS and PC games...and cut into my social-making skills. Then puberty/middle school struck, and I was pulled out of my comfortable cocoon, and into the real world.

I've had a couple of addictions over the years; Ocarina of Time, Pokemon Red Version, the problem for me is any game that has unlockables or collectables. if it has unlockables I wont stop util I have them all. This wasn't a problem until I bought a 360, I drove my self crazy over certain achievements like mile high club for COD4, but I have managed to calm down a bit (currently I only have bothered to get 1000/1000 in two games, COD4 and Halo 3) Unfortunatly with the release of SSBB the problem has renewed its self all over again....

Word to the wise, NEVER unplug your clock to plug in a battery pack charger, next thing I knew it was 5:00 in the morning, I have gone cold turkey on COD4 multiplayer as a result,

Super Mario for the NES. Today, when I tell my dad about my most recent gaming adventure, he reminds me of when he would hear that music of the first level in his sleep. That game and Street Fighter II have to be the most addicted games I played back then. HOWEVER, The game that I was truly addicted to is Super Metroid. The game's intensity and mystery still to this day excite me and that is why about once a year I pay homage to that game by playing through it from beginning to end and enjoy every moment.

Thanks for posting this thread, reminded me of better times.

Actually it was probably Super Mario World being played by my brother that broke my mind into games.

Hmm... probably Perfect Dark. I still hold it up as the best FPS ever made, even above goldeneye. Too bad my brother (somehow) lost our N64. Nooooo...

I figure that its worth a mention, the game that got me into RPGs was KotOR.

I believe the first game I ever truely played was Super Mario for the game boy.

I mean, that FAT gameboy. The one that was the size of a super nintendo console and could barely fit into your pocket.

I'm not even sure if it was called Supe rMario, but I know it was a Mario game.

It, along with Tetris, started off my life as a gamer.
