So Battlefield: Bad company two was released today. I was pretty stoked to get to play it. I even payed 30$ out of 69$.( Which is a lot since It was my own choice and I have no income)
Finally, after what seems like years: my brother comes through the door, holding the game and... he goes into his room and has played since 9:00 AM.
And before everyone suggests I kick ass or something along those lines, he has a good 150 pounds (muscle) on me.

So I ask you escapists, has this sort of thing ever happened to you? Where you are denied what you earned (A bit) and were forced to complain about it on the internet?

NOTE: This was not the first time my brother did this. Every new game I/He/we get, he plays for days without letting me go within five feet of the disk.

EDIT: Asking has never worked, and it didn't work this time.

I recommend that next time you go to get the game.

OT: No, I buy all my own games.

Put a couple of sleeping pills in his drink and when he is unconscious, you can play to your hearts content. If you are lucky he will never find out you drugged him.
(I am actually being serious here)
Or if he is the reasonable type, you could try talking to him

Nope, buy my own games, consoles, TVs. Built my own PC. I don't run into these issues.

Uh, I'm sure he could do something worse than play the game that he, for the most part, paid for. Of course, instead of jumping at the chance to exude machismo and kick ass, you could politely ask him to let you have a go. Maybe say, "Hey, we both came headfirst out of the same vagina, and I'd like to have a go at the game. How about, next time you die, I play for a bit?"

I'm sure you can figure something out. Unless you live in a constant state of conflict with your brother and your rooms are separated by a razed field, you'll survive.

Well, i have an younger brother and i do the same to him, how does he solve it? Asks me, and if im not in a generous mood he asks my parents, and i do the same in his posistion, it works, try that.

Doesn't he have outdoor activities? i play during my brothers activities and he plays during mine

We go out of our way to purchase two player games so try that in future.

Is he your younger or older brother?.

We usually have a "Early Bird" Policy, first one on gets to play till he gets bored or needs to do some mindless drone work, and should our time become excessive on the Ps3 the other one will eventually work his way on within an hours time frame.

It relies mostly on mutual "Brothership" As a base though, work on that as well.

Sort of. I have two brothers (twins) and wee al pay a share of the games we buy. Recently we got Bioshock 2 and ME2 off the internet for about £70. I payed about the most (around £40) one of the twins (known as C) payed about £20 and the last twin (known as M) payed £10. Because I payed the most I got the first choice of which game I wanted to play and got the whole day to play it. C then got the next whole day to play it and then M got to play them for a whole third day. From then it's just whoever plays, plays.

I like the agreement we have, the one who pays the most gets to play first and the most. It's fair and keeps the arguements that we would regularly have at bay.

That's about the sum of it right there.

All these people saying to talk it over. What's wrong with Rock, paper, scissors?

Wait until he goes to sleep / has to go somewhere?

All good gaming binges have to end eventually, then just move everything into your room and lock the door.

To be fair, he did pay 39 dollars to your 30. It would be another thing entirely if you had payed for all of it.

Well your the runt of the litter of two? You will unforunatly have to deal with him unless you actually pay for the whole game next time you go to get a game. Also why not talk to your parents about it?

He payed the majority of the price so he gets to play the majority of the time pure and simple just wait till he goes to sleep (forcefully if necessary) and then play.
