You are a liar. I let it idle for 10 hours straight, and got my trophy. You just have to load a save, and let it sit there to get it.

If anything Big Pharma and it's equivalents in TF2. This is only because I don't stoop to using farming servers, I try to get them the intended way.

I love the game enough to be 1/4 of the way to getting that achievement.

After TWO. HUNDRED. HOURS.

I've gotten both Big Pharma and Division of Labor in my first 100 hours of the game. How, I have no clue, most likely a shitty team and the fact my Heavy had Sasha. As for doing it as Heavy, the Medic who healed me was a hacker, and somehow was able to get 3 consectutive ubercharges, along with us getting the intel and getting all crits.

However, Tartin Spartan and Chief of Staff is where the shit gets tough.

Tartin Spartan - cause 1,000,000 damage points in explosions. This isn't with all classes, this is only with the Demoman. You can't be a Soldier, Engineer or Pyro and get the blast damage, only Demoman.
Chief of Staff - heal 1,000,000 units of damage. Fuck.

Wait, rewind. I got that wrong. The quarter one I'm talking about is Chief of Staff. I got Big Pharma quite early on.
Pyromancer? No way. Not happening.

My current most hates one is 'Aperture Science' on Portal. I have Bronze and Silver on all challenges, Gold on all 'Least Portals' and just need 7 more Golds to do it.

Unfortunately it isn't fun to do timed challenges, it doesn't test imagination or mental ability, it's merely about reaction times and practice.

"Epic Tier 3 Engineer" in Dead Space. Its worth 150 gamerscore and requires you to complete the impossible difficulty. And it is as hard as advertised.

I found it very easy and only used the Plasma Cutter. In fact, it was the only weapon I used as I was going for that achievement as well.

Most Wanted for Red Dead Redemption. I don't think it's hard, but having to stay most wanted for 10 minutes gets really annoying when you have to deal with the army and other players. I've wasted enough time with this achievement, and it has made me throw my controller several times.

I got that one on my first try, the trick is to get a buddy with closed NAT settings so that pretty much no one else can join your game, and if they do, have your buddy kill them repeatedly until they leave.

In Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2, there are two achievements, called Wax On and Wax Off.

Wax On, you had to go into Pacifism, where you can't shoot and have to pass through gates to make them explode and kill nearby enemies, and rub against every bit of the arena wall. Not hard at all, since the round starts off so slow, you sometimes can go all the way around without even leaving the wall.

Wax Off, however, is a different story. You have to do the requirements for Wax On in Pacifism... twice in the same round. And you realize, it picks up the pace fast. Completely nucking futs.

Oh, and also Double Trouble on DJ Hero. You have to have a local multiplayer game with two turntables. Tell me, people, do you know more than one person that has the game and peripheral?

I got Wax On and Wax Off without too much difficulty, but I can't get the achievements for beating sequence or making that damn smiley face!

(I don't even know if there is a mission in which you can engage 50 aircraft. Maybe Stage of the Apocalypse. That would be total ass. F14s all over you, 15 bombers getting away and a crapload of those fricken fast Mig31s, nevermind the epilogue Su 37s and a possibility of rain and Jammer craft.)

Team Fortress 2 - Krazy Ivan: Kill 100 enemies while both you and your victim are underwater.
(I have over 30 hours of playing the heavy. I have 7 qualifying kills.)

Half Life 2 - Don't Touch the Sand: Don't
(I've done this twice and both times the game failed to detect it properly. That or there's something I'm doing wrong apart from concertedly Not touching the sand)

Out of the Blue in Portal: Still Alive. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK.

What are you talking about? I have all but the challenge achievements in Portal and none are called "Out of the Blue"

It's only in the version of Portal that you can download from the XBLA. The achievement requires you to only enter the orange portal once you can use both, hence "Out of the Blue." I was able to do it until the one part where you have to continually shoot portals down in that huge room with acid at the bottom towards the end of the game. You know, where you shoot one down on a platform, then one down a big hole, then you jump into the hole and fly up and out of the platform, and then you shoot one onto the next platform. It's possible to only come out of blue portals there, but you need to hit two portals down VERY accurately in slightly less than two seconds.

Well, I do declare, that would most definitely be easier on PC and I damn with it were on PC.

One trophy that bugged the hell out of me and still does is the 100 feathers in Assassins's Creed II. I want to platinum that game, and it would be really easy, but.... for fucks sake.

"Neighborhood Watch" in Episode 2 seems like it is impossible. "Lambda Locater" in Half-Life 2 seems very challenging without guides, and I am not about to use a guide for a game like Half-Life 2.

I'm very impressed, I tried it but when I got the mission where I'm going down the hill to the chopper in 4 and the one where you start by riding the tanks in 5 I just completely gave up

aMAZEing from God of War III is so goddamn hard even on Normal difficulty level, and I don't really want to beat almost entire game again on Easy just to get that trophy.
