Yeah, sequence mode is devilishly difficult. My best is the 4th row, but that was in multiplayer with 3 other decent players.onewheeled999 said:To me, Wax On was a piece of cake. Wax Off, though, took well over a hundred tries over period of like eight months.Deef said:I got Wax On and Wax Off without too much difficulty, but I can't get the achievements for beating sequence or making that damn smiley face!onewheeled999 said:In Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2, there are two achievements, called Wax On and Wax Off.
Wax On, you had to go into Pacifism, where you can't shoot and have to pass through gates to make them explode and kill nearby enemies, and rub against every bit of the arena wall. Not hard at all, since the round starts off so slow, you sometimes can go all the way around without even leaving the wall.
Wax Off, however, is a different story. You have to do the requirements for Wax On in Pacifism... twice in the same round. And you realize, it picks up the pace fast. Completely nucking futs.
Oh, and also Double Trouble on DJ Hero. You have to have a local multiplayer game with two turntables. Tell me, people, do you know more than one person that has the game and peripheral?
And the Sequence achievements you mentioned? No way, I can't even beat two rows of levels.
That the one for head-shotting a hunter mid leap? I got it by accident. It was just "Oh piss a hunter!" and ta-da! For me though it'd be the platinum one for RE5. The hardest mode just isn't worth it. You die WAY too fast. Too fast to be healed.Luke5515 said:Left 4 Dead-Jump Shot. You may think, well that's a stupid one to be stuck on, I randomly got that. Well I use shotgun, so i need to great REEEEEEEAllly lucky to get this one and only when i try to get it do i use machine guns. I have every L4D achievement except for this one.
You actually can use smoke bombs. As long as you don't actually lose the guards, it still counts as open conflict. That's how I got it.Mariakitten said:The AC2 one, kill ten guards without leaving combat (no smoke bombs) or taking damage.
Ten hours. Yes you can put the controller down. I got it completely by mistake.NameIsRobertPaulson said:Consult Your Physician (Disgaea 3) Play for 24 hours without stopping. And no, putting the controller down doesn't work.
This, I feel it takes more luck than skill to get those. For example, with two for one you must:Miles Tormani said:Also, Halo 3's multiplayer achievements. I hate them so much. I still don't have Used Car Salesman for whatever fucking reason, even though everyone else I know does. The game just hates me. (I do however have all the Vidmaster achievements, and therefore, i haz recon.)
How about Mongoose Mowdown?Erisnas said:This, I feel it takes more luck than skill to get those. For example, with two for one you must:
Be in a FFA playlist
Get a map with the laser
Get the laser
Hold it long enough to land the perfect shot
then FINALLY your skill comes into play with landing the shot
This really annoys me as I would love to 100& halo 3 but it would require long hours with little to show for it in order to complete those.
I just got Saint and Hella Copter today (I bought the game about a month ago).LordCuthberton said:Hello.hyperhammy said:Dead Rising anyone?
Saint and Transmissionary.
Especially annoying when you have already done 7 day survivor
Fuck you Capcom for making the game so challenging yet so fun.
[sub]I like hard games[/sub]
Transmissionary and Saint don't actually walk hand in hand, it's possible to miss certain calls and still get the requisite number of survivors (Not to mention the situational calls, like when you first enter the maintenance tunnels etc.)that1guy said:I just got Saint and Hella Copter today (I bought the game about a month ago).
No, what I need to get (non-food and clothes) are Zombie Genocider (I tried it. It made the game boring), Transmissionary (which I should've gotten if I got Saint), 5&7 Day Survivor (I won't try Infinity Mode until I get Zombie Genocider), and a couple of others.
What do you have to do?RamboStrategy said:I can't think of one of those "Achievements for Achievements' Sake" achievements, so I'll just say my current goal: Getting all of the feathers in ACII. Vhat Fack? Why are they so important?
EDIT: Actually, Out of the Blue in Portal: Still Alive. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK.

For out of the Blue you have to only exit blue portals throughout the game. It sucks.PoisonUnagi said:What do you have to do?RamboStrategy said:I can't think of one of those "Achievements for Achievements' Sake" achievements, so I'll just say my current goal: Getting all of the feathers in ACII. On-topic, in TF2: "Pyromancer". Do 1 million points of total fire damage.
I have no chance of ever getting that now that I've reset my stats.
