You ever go out on a limb, or see a game for really cheep and hear one or two good things about it, decide "Sure, why not?" buy it, and then have your world completely rocked by it?

I did, and it's called BlazBlue.

What was yours?

Deadly Premonition.

My word, if that isn't one of the best games of 2010...

For 10 Dollars New!

I really enjoyed the game and loved the over-used slow-motion and epic-ness.

Spore.

I wanted a multiplayer FPS, but not MW2 or Battlefield Bad Company. Nothing caught my eye, except this cutesy little game with animals on the cover. On the impulse of having my govrnment allowance (!), and even though my boyfriend was warning me that I would go mad with the sweetness, I bought it.

It IS sweet, but just right, and I'm glad I got it.

STALKER during the two-buck Steam sale.

The first area outside of the actual radioactive zone was worth the money.

Hellgate: London drew my eye one morning and has since earned a special place in my heart. It's such a shame the online crumbled.

Also Banjo and Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts. I got it new for a mere £10, and the naysayers can frankly munch on their own behinds for I love this game and adore Rare as a developer in entirety.

The Orange Box. Never thought it was THAT good, until I bought it. I'm glad I did.

Mass Effect.

I'm not a fan of RPGs so the RPG element it had and the footage I saw of it didn't really interest me. I saw it one day rather cheaply and remember it getting great reviews so I said why not try something different? It now sits humbly in my top 10 games list, by far one of the best purchaces I've made.

I bought Hearts Of Iron II, knowing nothing about it, for 6.99. I just wanted to buy something to take back with me, and I knew it was going to be shite, because they always are, but fuck it.

It wasn't, it was and is one of the best strategy games I've ever played. I have spent months on that game.
Same story here. Altough I bought it for 5 Euros ;-)
And Jade Empire (for PC).
I had read about it, but never tought of buying it.
Even tough KotOR and KotOR II are among my favourite games.
So I went shopping to buy 2 Games, as I spotted the Fallout3 Collectors Edition(Metal Lunch Box with Bobble Head). Wich was about 70? at that time, and since I had only 80? cash in my wallet I strolled over to the budget-area and spotted Jade Empire for 10?, so I took it.
Long story short:
Fallout3 stayed untouched for a whole month ^^
