Battlefield 3 gives me such joy when a new friend decides to buy it and the traditional 'hazing' period begins. Like everyone gathering to watch them try to fly a helicopter for the first time. Or on the seventh attempt when the actually start to fly the following conversation occurs:

"How do you change weapon?"
"It's the B button"
*pause*
"I HATE YOU"
*splat*

Or that horrible moment they realise the sniper is a seriously long range weapon on the game and they end up in a corner of the map waiting for someone to cross a tiny road thats not actually part of the game level and end up 0-0...

Or that blind panic they get from all the lasers and flashlights which leads to you getting inevitably shot everytime you happen to look at them.

Oh and lastly the first time they get C4, realise you cruel you've been to them and they proceed to c4 every single vehicle in the game...

I remember being accused of "hacking" (somehow) the blazblue online which allowed me to perfect this very very scrubby Tager user.

I don't know how you even "hack" suck a thing from a ps3...I guess that's why they removed the linux options, to get at all those darned blazblue hackers! :D

I was playing a match of Gotham City Imposters and somehow my team was just made up of me and one other guy. The other guy was an extremely low level (like 1 or 3) so he pretty much just had the already made classes to choose from and the other team was all high level people (like me) there was also four or five of them. The match ended with my team losing cause this guy was an idiot, he died 26 times and only got 3 kills. I thought to myself "Just go hide some wheres and let me handle it!"

Well, you should give more than two seconds for an explanation after a pause. If someone desperately needs to stop the action so that they can do something, why do you expect them to type out an explanation while the game is still running?

Ask for an explanation, give it, like, ten seconds, then unpause mercilessly.

It's not noobish behavior but it's still childish. This one time I was playing DoW II the last stand, we had played several games together, it seemed we could win it so I suggested we start camping cause with some heroes it's the only viable option in the late game. So one player made a joke about us being like CoD players camping in the corner so I told that I wouldn't know cause I have ever only played single player and we lol'd but the 3rd player just started to vomit hate on us something about CoD players all being idiots and they should not touch DoW games or any rts games and then (probably) he just dropped. I know I didn't like CoD very much and somewhat regretted buying it but hate like that just stunned me.

Well it wasn't really noobish but mostly stupidity. In Spec Ops The Line in one map there is a door with a sandbag in the way, and people vaulted over all the time so when I could I always placed a landmine in that spot the amount of people who fell for it was amazing. I wonder if they raged most people didn't use mic's on PS3.

every game of killing floor i play after a new update/steam sale usually has a lot of people who don't know how to play and choose to blame everyone else, which is a shame because it puts a lot of people off continuing to play it. remember seeing a level one firebug on insane once.... wouldn't shut up about him not being healed and thats why he keeps dyeing, nothing to do whith him using a fireaxe no sir ha.

blacklight retribution, honest to god had someone complaining about wall hacks, i assumed he was joking at first, then he started to threaten to report people because they kept finding him in his uber camping spot. honest to god the chat log was painful to read,

Guy in dark souls who I invaded at the start didn't get that red phantoms were evil, I admit I can't be sure he might have chosen not to attack seeing as I'm one of those bastard "twinkers" meaning he may have known killing me would be tough.

But his actions like Blocking against a horde of enemies and running out of stamina made it seem like he was waiting for me to attack from behind his guard.

Couldn't kill him, so I punched him once to let him know red phantoms are evil then returned to my home world...

Captcha: om nom nom

Made me hungry, ffs.

So the moral of this thread is... I should re-download Killing Floor...

OT: Well... this one is about me actually :p
It was my first match on League of Legends and I had absolutely no idea what the hell I was doing. I selected Garen because he was the character I used in the tutorial and happened to be F2P that week.

As soon as the game starts I head straight for bot lane and past all of the turrets and straight for the mid lane once I hit their second turret. I ran into the dragon as I assumed that there would just be a regular mob there and was met with a fireball in the face.

Anyway...this level of idiocy goes on till about 25 minutes into the game. I had try to leave 3 times as I hadn't figured out that LoL doesn't really let you "leave" matches until you finish them and I realize on the 4th log-in that there is a merchant...

So I purchased Frozen Heart.

I was immediately met with: "THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?!?" by every teammate I had.

I laugh now when I think back to that.

Its definitely amateur weekend on League of Legends too. I've been ad carry Graves 3 times today. All three times I've gone up the middle lane to defend the jungler from potential invasion at the start of the game, and all 3 times the mid champs have started pinging wildly typing "GRAVES GO BOT GRAVES GO BOT".
I get the same crap when i go AD Shaco and run top lane. They all start hooting about how i should be jungling or running bot lane. I just tell them to relax and have fun, about 10 minutes in, i'm fed, running a Phantom Dancer and Infinity Edge and surprisingly they all start whining about how i'm stealing all the kills. Yes. I am. By running top, and warding/checking baron and river. Yes i'm stealing your kills. No gangplank, when you use your ult, you are not guaranteed the kill. No Kat, flashing in and ulting when i have dropped a Malphite down from 100% to about 30 with two abilities, i'm not giving you the kill. It fun, but some days i just wanna uninstall the game and play something else
Awe yeah, Lol. I have to love those moments when a teammate I share a lane with accuses me of being a noob because my Sona didn't make them invincible.

Reminds me of Gunz. If there was a significant difference in skill among players the player of better skill will always be accused of hacking by some noob.

My friend is usually way more intelligent than me. But when he starts playing a game I have been playing for a while, however I try to explain it, he acts like I'm speaking martian.

It's really very annoying. It's like his comprehension just shoots out of the window.

We just had a big argument about camera controls in dark souls and how he can use his thumb and fingers at the same time -.-

All this thread has told me is that I should check out Killing Floor.
OT: I was playing on a knife/shield only server on MGO, and I the other team was kicking our ass, and we could do nothing but die to them. Then I found out that diving to the floor and stabbing was extremely effective against them (Stab is a one hit kill). So they then tried to kick me from the server for being able to kill them.
I was also accused of boosting in MW 2 because I was using my stealth class and kept killing the same guy who kept running up to where I was trying to kill me, he really didn't like that he couldn't kill me.

I was playing WoW with a buddy of mine, and we were chatting about the few game mechanics that stayed in the game since Pre-BC. We got onto the subject of Resurrection Sickness, the debuff that reduces all your ability values by 75% if you use the Spirit Healer to rez at the graveyard.

He literally replied "That's there to punish the bad players when they fail. It gives them a time-out to think about what they did."

In reality, Resurrection Sickness exists in the game to prevent players from abusing the Spirit Healer as a quick-travel method to circumvent mounts and hearthstones.

The rest of the guys who were on this nostalgic trip all called him various words that all meant "Elitist asshole" and he found himself kicked from our guild.
A gkick seems kind of harsh but I;m guessing he did more than make that comment.
