The 1st thing you do as a superhero/supervillian?

What I would do exactly depends on the power, but I wouldn't be a criminal. That's not to say I would be fighting crime, either. I would probably just see how I could have the most fun with my new power without hurting anyone.

Depends on the grade, but if I had top tier powers I'd start killing people in authority that abused their powers and be really vocal about it and my comfort with the irony of what I was doing.

Dunno what I'd do, probably just do all the shit I don't have the stones to do as a mere mortal. Kill a few people I have bones to pick with, etc.

Also, I'd get a load of money for the financial stability of my family and friends. Sort out their problems too. Lend myself to science for militia purposes, see if I'm a replicable subject, if so, I'd be a commander of a small group of superbeings. We'd rule any land we wanted using our powers to make examples of criminals and shit so people will become too scared to commit any crime.

I'd just start to have some fun with whatever powers I attained. Superheroism or villany is overrated when you just can use your powers to cause extreme mischief. I think I'd be like the norse god Loki who just liked to f*ck things up without the moral bias of good or evil. Heroism and villany is easy to do but try to be as neutral as possible that is the hard part.

2. Work out what my powers will entitle me to, i.e Mind control/Invisibility/Super Strength/Flight

3. Use them to my advantage and make my life in such a way that my girlfriend and I never have to work again. Also see if I can rub them off onto her, over and over and over till it works or doesn't.

4. Live my life as a super hero, doing good for humanity and crushing the class struggle.

5. Emancipating the world from oppression.

6. Destroy perils that exist, i.e Solving the Bermuda triangle problem.

7. The Sabath. I need a Nap.

If we're talking high tier superpowers then I think I would start off good and then slowly shift into an immoral monster as all perceptions of justice and equality disappear due to my inability to empathise with normal people. All the normal pursuits and hobbies I enjoy now would become trivial and pedestrian so I would push myself to greater and greater thrills in a constant search for more excitement. Eventually I would slip into apathy and watch the world go by with cursory interest. Then when life has lost all colour, an alien or a nemesis would rise and I would spend the rest of my life locked in an endless dance where we swap the advantage until one of us perishes in a circumstance that holds a sliver of chance that I/he survived. Fans would then start dozens of forums about my/his potential survival and dress up as me at sci fi conventions, where they would be kicked out.

I would have to be a superhero, but I would be an "anti-hero". The kind of good-guy that fights by the bad-guys rules. My first, I would say act would be to find (insert name of person whom the world would be better off without) and test how resilient the human body really is. As soon as that person is a pile off unidentifiable goo, I would move onto the next person. Kinda "Boondock Saints" style but in tights.
