How could you not want this game? It's just so amazing.

Scarily realistic even.
Exclusively for PS3. Not interested. Never understood exclusive titles... I always thought devs wanted people to play their games? Clearly not.

Yeah I just watched the gameplay trailer. Still don't see how this is anything special.
Probably:

1) It seems to be focusing on two non superhero characters just trying to stay alive, and isn't a "bang bang fun shoot" story (Ellie vehemently disapproves of you setting the guy on fire, when in most games the AI would go "OOH, sweet shot!"). If it follows through on this theme all the way through, it codl be a fantastic story.

2) The AI seems pretty tight. The partner AI keeps out of your way, and can pick up items to chuck at enemies if you're in trouble. The Enemy AI can recognize when you are out of Ammo, etc.

3) Some people (Me included) like the whole "every bullet is precious" kind of gameplay. It makes every fight very tense, since you are trying not to waste your very rare bullets.

4) It's a post apocalypse with color. Most are grey and brown and boring looking.

I'm starting to feel the same way about Watch Dogs as I do about The Last of Us.

When I first saw the reveal I was floored. Ecstatic even. However, watching it a few more times I can't shake the feeling that a great deal of what was shown on screen was purely scripted. That much of it wasn't dynamically generated by player choice.

I could be wrong. But, knowing Ubisoft...and the fact that trailers often lie...I'm not so sure I am.
Well, you gotta look at it this way; maybe you can choose different ways to solve problems. Like distracting the bodyguard to get into the club by jamming his phone - maybe you can do something else instead.

If you can, that's awesome. If not, that sucks.
Oh, I assume that's exactly what the game will be like. However, I'm not buying the devs assertions that it's as dynamic as they're implying. At least, not yet.

Either way, I'm still going to keep an eye on this one. Even if it doesn't quite live up to the promises it still looks like it could be a really fun game.

[edit]
Though I'm torn. Part of me wants to try this intriguing looking game. Another part wants to support fresh, new ideas in the gaming industry. Yet, another part wants to continue to abstain from Ubisoft; given my disgust of their DRM measures and business practices, and their statements made over the past year. (especially towards/about PC gamers)

Well, I will have to disagree. I think the show stopper was "Watch Dogs", from Ubisoft. Wow. Absolute WOW.

*EDIT*

Personally, I thought the Sony all-stars looked like garbage. Halo 4's gameplay looked good, but I still dont trust 343....yet. Jury is out on that. Watch Dogs would be my favorite of E3, with Assassins Creed 3 behind that. Beyond and Last of Us do look good, but I dont have a PS3, so unless they come out on the 360 I wont be playing them. Overall, from what I saw, it was a pretty lackluster E3. It really had an overwhelming feeling that everyone was playing it safe. Did anyone else get that vibe?

Yet another trailer that looks awesome but is probably scripted like crazy. I really don't believe that whole thing where he runs out of ammo, the bad guy says "I know that noise" and walks up, and then the girl throws something at him and the main character charges him. I highly doubt that arose as part of the natural AI routines of the enemy and the girl in that situation, or that the engine dynamically decided that the main character should slam the dude's face into the desk because of their exact position in the room.

It seemed interesting how they incorporated very natural sounding dialogue cues into the brief lulls between bits of action, but there must have been some pre-determined scripting there as well.

That little bit of enemy talk near the beginning "Look what I f... what the fuck?" that was a fully recorded line meant to be interrupted in the middle like that, even though theoretically the main character could be hiding out of sight at that moment.

And the way the fight with the last two bad guys went down did not seem to arise naturally out of gameplay at all. The attack movements and reactions were all far too specific when theoretically he could have approached that combat from any angle, or taken a more head-on approach without taking cover.
My concerns exactly. There's no way that hand-to-hand combat at the end was regular gameplay, and even if it was it was probably all QTEs.

I don't think I could possibly put myself through another 'realistic' game about a grim-faced man shooting other grim-faced men and yelling "GRR GRAAHH ************!". Honestly, even disregarding the number of times this has been done before, how is it even fun?

I started watching this video wondering how scripted the whole thing was. Then a couple of minutes in, I stopped giving a shit either way, because the subject matter is so utterly uninteresting that I couldn't give a flying fuck if it's the most dynamic and fluid gameplay ever in a game, I'm still not going to play it because, at least in my opinion, gameplay can't hold up on its own if the context it's in is dull as all hell.

Sony own Naughty Dog and having titles that are exclusive to the PS3 gives people more of an incentive to buy a PS3.

Of course, this late in the game it's probably inconsequential. People have largely either chosen their sides or already own every current platform already.

Precisely. This late into the game if you dont have a PS3, then this isnt going to make you buy one. I can understand exclusives for when a console is just coming out, but the PS3 came out 5 and a half years ago ffs...If your game isn't Halo, then dont freaking make it exclusive. In my opinion Halo SOLD the Xbox console, but this game isnt Halo, and making some unknown game this long after a console release exclusive is just annoying.
