Bridget sighed. Was that better than Henry?
She looked up to Dan again and kissed him again, only this one was longer. What am I doing? These people are strangers...although I'd like to try Jaden as well...
Dan sighed heavily, I shouldn't be doing this...
"Bridget...i'm sorry, but...if you're going to keep doing that, then please be sure that i'm your favourite. Don't take it the wrong way, it's just that it'll only sting more when you choose someone else." Smoove...i'm so shit with words! Why do I have to spoil moments like these.
"And it seems like you like the new guy too..." Shit...
Bridget lightly punched Dan in the shoulder.
"You are so down on yourself. Why can't you live a little? Have something with me and then we can both move on" she whispered before kissing him one more and standing up.
"Do you want your pants back?" she asked, looking down at him
"If you need them, then keep them for now. I'll find something else."
He stood up and thought about what she had said. Is something short-term enough? It might just hurt more...if that's possible. But maybe I could change her mind in that time...
"That's exactly the point. I don't want to live without you. And that's exactly why i'm going to try my best."
Bridget slipped the pants off and straightned before handing them to Dan.
"Try your best for what? To woo me? I've already told you my thoughts on that love crap. And I just want something short because-well...if it was longterm and something were to happen to one of us it would hurt more than no commiment" she whispered to him. What am I saying?
She kissed him one last time, this time on the cheek, before walking downstairs and sitting on her bed. Am I really like this? Going after every guy I meet?
She has a point...No! I can't think like that! I have...to try...What she asais is true, but I wouldn't let anything happen to either of us. I don't see how you can't believe in love. Any normal girl her age would constantly be thinking about it...
Dan quickly decided to follow Bridget downstairs,
"Bridget, why is it that you go after everyone you meet? It's painfull to anyone who falls for you. It's mean, cold...it hurts...and what about all the other people who have to suffer losses after longterm relation ships? They cope. I wouldn't let anything happen to you or me, so there wouldn't be anything to be worried about. But you have to stop leading everyone on. In the end no one wins like that."
Bridget quickly looked up when Dan started talking. Who's watchin-oh ya. Henry
"I don't go after everyone I meet. If some ugly guy comes along I might not go after him...and no girls. And in the end, I win like this. I get to have whoever I want and no one gets hurt if they're smart" she explained, standing up and moving over to Dan.
"Besides, it's either this" she kissed him again, "or nothing"
"That is the most selfish thing i've ever heard. Although I wouldn't know...but I could probably say that it would have been. So you're telling me that it's either small regular doses of pain or one huge one? Now I know that I can definitly use that word. Slut." I hope I didn't hurt her too much... What are you saying? She hurt you a lot more than that.
So what are you planing on doing with her? Are you going to have a school days ending where she just fucks everyone she meets or are you actually going to have her choose an individual? ;O
Bridget recoiled from his words. How dare he call me a slut!
For the first time in some time, she followed her thoughts and slapped Dan.
"How dare you call me a slut! I am not a slut!" she screamed, not caring if other people heard or woke up. After the initial anger left her, she started to cry and sat down on her bed. Am I a slut?]
"What am I doing"
Deja vu! I wonder who you'll pick? Who are the lucky candidates? Dan, Wolfe...
Dan stared at Bridget,
"It's not you that's the slut, it's what you're doing. Your inner animal instinct. Your lust. You just need to stop leading people on and pick someone! You need to pick someone who you want to be with...even if you don't want a longterm relationship, then just stay single. But you need to stop doing what you're doing." Now I feel bad...
"But you need to face reality. What you're doing...is slutty..."
"But I can't pick" she shrieked, tears streaming from her eyes. Just pick; Dan
Henry
Jaden
Bridget threw her legs onto the bed and lay down.
"I can't pick...I-I'm sorry. I won't come onto you anymore then" she said, feeling less confident about herself then ever before.
"N...no, Bridget...just think...who do you like most?" Wolfe...
"Who would you rather be with?" Wolfe...
"Just...think about those things. You can choose. Don't choose so you don't make someone sad, just choose so you'll be happy." Dan said re-assuringly,
"If you want. I can leave you while you think about it."
Bridget closed her eyes and sighed.
"Don't leave. I don't like to be alone" she muttered. Henry?
Dan?
Jaden?
Wait for someone else?
No one?
If I pick Henry then I get a older guy who can protect me.
If I pick Dan then I get a younger guy who is extremly attractive and a great kisser...depressed...
If I pick Jaden then I get an attractive robot...
If I wait then I might miss my chance
If I pick no one I can still flirt with others and maybe fool around...or could I? If I told Henry I didn't want to have anything special would he still want me? Dan wouldn't...
Fuck, I'm absent for a day and a half and I miss an 8-page epic. Interesting stuff guys, and just so I don't get left out I'm going to have to politely ask you to come find me. Obviously, how you interpret my post is going to determine exactly how that happens...
Sniffling in his corner and praying the beast would leave, Septimus suddenly hears a gunshot ring loud nearby. He hears the beast at the door snarl ferciously and run off, guttural cries fading to silence.
Crawling from his hiding place, Septimus shuffles back to where his fire died. Tossing a few more magazines down, he lights them and huddles in on himself to keep warm. I need to get somewhere else... he thinks to himself. I wonder where that gunshot came from. It didn't sound far, maybe tomorrow I'll risk everything and investigate. The prospect didn't endear much to the cowardly Septimus.
Pulling an old can of beans and a tin-opener from his rucksack, Septimus wearliy goes through the motions of eating. Despair and fear makes his "meal" taste like ash, but he knows that he needs to try and eat if he's going to have any chance of survival. Having finished his meal, Septimus curls himself into a ball by the fire and attempts to sleep.
Again, his dreams are full of his Grandfather curing the disease. Scenes of a happy family life in a big house quickly pass by and are replaced with snarling, slavouring beasts tearing him limb from limb. His dream fades to black with the sound of scraping and splitting wood echoing in the darkness....
...Septimus' eyes shoot open and he's staring straight into the roaring fire; his dreams are gone, but the sound of cracking wood remains. Bolting upright, Septimus turns to look at the window in the wall above him. Part of the boards are hanging down and a bloodied, pale arm is gripping the rest, trying to tear them off.
Panicking, Septimus grabs his backpack and leaps across the fire to the opposite wall. Not only is there one beast breaking through one window, but Spetimus can see a number of them attacking the door with abandon. Tears filling his eyes, Septimus watches as the first beast breaks through all the window's boards and slowly climbs through, glowing eyes never leaving his face. The others begin to follow...
Quicker than he's ever moved before, Septimus grabs a can from his backpack and hurls it as hard as he can just as the first beast leaps over the fire. The can strikes it square in the face mid-leap, and the beast tumbles to the roaring flames underneath it. jumping back from their flaming companion, the other beasts seemingly hesitate, giving Septimus a split second to pull open the back-room door next him, run through, slam it and flick the lock.
It won't hold them long. Septimus despairs as the first body strikes the door. Stupid...now I'm trapped in here! Looking around the tiny room, Septimus notices two small gas canisters, and some empty cardboard boxes. Backing into the corner, Septimus loses all hope completely as the door begins to splinter. He cries harder into his arms than he ever has before.
Suddenly, the beasts stop striking at the door, and although their guttural cries can still be heard right outside, their interest in the door appears to be subsiding. Confused, Septimus looks up and notices that the room is a little smokey. Shit. Flames lick around the bottom of the door and in an instant, the severly damaged door collapses to reveal the whole Newsagents ablaze with four of the beasts stood in the center staring at Septimus, occasionally stepping towards the red flames before being forced back by the intenstiy of the heat.
Without any other option, Septimus grips the gas canisters in each hand and steadies himself, There's no hope, except this...
Taking a deep, painful breathe full of smoke and ash, Septimus tosses the canisters at the huddled and snarling beasts before throwing himself behind the pile of empty cardboard boxes.
The explosion is huge, ripping the building apart down one side and leaving the beasts strewn across the street, pieces of them everywhere. The cold rain continues to fall heavily, contrasting magnificently with the raging fire still clinging to the decimated Newsagents. The dust settles on a ragged and bleeding Septimus as he drags himself from the rubble. Surprised at how well his little room managed to survive the blast, he wanders in a daze towards the only wall still standing and leans against it, slowly sliding to the floor.
"Fuck...that..." He croaks, clutching his bloodied side. "Definitely...got a few...broken...ribs..."
Knowing that he can't stay here for long, Septimus pulls his weary and stinging body up and forces it to move.
"Then i'll stay with you. But before you choose I just want you to know that no matter what happens I promise to protect you and stay by your side forever." He sat on the bed beside her and held her hand. If she pulls away then I won't retaliate.
He felt nervouse, This is more frightnening than the beast...
Bridget looks up from her thinking at the explosion. What the hell
She leaps from the bed and grabs her screwdriver before running out the door, all thoughts of choices out of her head. They nuked us
Unable to see anything Bridget runs up the stairs and onto the roof, seeing a burning building a street or so down. She runs back down and grabs Dan.
"Let's go" she yells before running out and creeping to the dumpster again.
FUCK! Shit! AS soon as this is over...she needs to pick...
Dan followed behind Bridget, Now i'm even more nervouse. The longer this takes, the worse it'll get.
"Bridget, they havn't bombed us. It must be on of those groups I saw running around. You can't take them on with a screwdriver, we should find somewhere safe."
"They couldn't have caused that" she hissed. Couldn't they have?
No. It's another human...
Maybe an insane person-likes blwoing things up and will kill you
If they liked explosions why blow up a house when there is larger buildings around?
By the time Bridget had stopped thinking she was nearing the burning building. Trying to peer through the smoke, she could see some bodies that may have been injured or dead. She though about yelling something, but figured that they should just wait and see what happens.
