Actually, I had originally intended to use a weapon akin to ae86gamer's, but didn't want to after she already claimed it. So I sort of made my character's combat and weaponry a blend between ancient Persian and Spartan. The spear is more so for mounted combat; he uses the sword predominantly.

Hope that's okay.

Name: Chang Dsu Yao

Gender: Male

Age: 27

Hair: At a young age Chang was forced to shave his head as part of his training as a monk.

Eyes: Dark Brown

Appearance: Despite being in many battles, Chang has no wounds. However he has many bruises scattered around his body as punishment for mistakes.

Clothes: A pure white monks robe with a black sash around his shoulder to carry his Staff and a pair of sandals.

Weapons/Equipment: On his person Chang carries two weapons. The Emeici piercers [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emeici] and the Bo staff [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B%C5%8D]

Fighting Style: As a monk Chang learned multiple forms of martial arts. To use the Bo Staff as a weapon he had to learn Bojutsu, or the "Staff Technique". He was also taught Kung fu, Xiao Hong Quan, Dan Do and Luohan Quan.

Character Bio: Chang began his training to become a monk at the age of 5 when he was rescued from the streets by his master , Yu Dayou. Under master Dayou Chang became one of the best students to come out of the monastery of 500. He was taught to never be the Aggressor but to only fight in self-defense. He would spend his days meditating in the prayer room for 3 hours before heading out into the courtyard for weapons practice. Despite being trained in a variety of weapons Chang preferred to use the Bo staff and eventually was entitled to teach the younger monks Bojutsu . He spent 20 years in the monastery before an army of Barbarians ransacked it. The monks sacrificed their lives to protect the civilians in the town below and when the fighting was over only Chang and three other monks remained. The remaining four monks led the villagers westward on a long journey to relocate the town. By the time they had found a permanent spot most of the villagers and other monks had died. Only Chang and a handful of civilians had survived. The village needed protection desperately and one Monk could not give it to them. Chang promised the villagers that he would journey to the neighboring castle and plead for their assistance in protecting the city.

Other Info: As a monk , Chang has promised to live a life of lower class. As such he only carries enough food for him to survive and the clothes on his back.

I don't know if your still accepting sheets but I figured I would post my own just in case.

Is this spose to be western style? or just free choice?

Because their are people from western feudal eras, and the asian area.

Should we just assume its one big melting pot kingdom?

Hey Mookie, I made the edits you suggested, but I don't know if I'm too late...

Name: William Shannow

Gender: Male

Age: 21

Hair: A mane of ginger-brown hair, that hangs to about neck length. It is surprisingly well tended to, and William has a habit of braiding it with silver wire for added protection in battle

Eyes: Blue-green, wide, with unusually long lashes

Appearance: William is tall and lean, and while not extremely muscled, he is still quite strong, but loses nothing in terms of dexterity, and he moves lightly on his feet, like a dancer

Clothes: William has several different sets of clothes, including a tunic, a surcoat, two cloaks (one woven with steel, for battle, and one for social occasions), and his chainmail

Weapons/Equipment: Will wields a mace and spear, though neither are of ?normal? design. The mace, far from being simply a stylised club, is a metal cane about two inches in diameter, weighted and serrated on the end, giving it speed, both offensive and defensive, and also power. His spear, on the other hand, is a four and a half foot pole with a foot an eighteen inch blade on the end, useful both for stabbing form horseback or swinging in melee. Will is capable of wither using both at once, or one of them, either on its own, or with a shield, which bears his coat of arms
Also technically part of his equipment, is Elijah, his warhorse, a tall, proud beast who is calm both on the battlefield and in the hands of even the inexperienced rider

Fighting Style: In combat, William is the epitome of measured might. As an educated knight, he is educated in the uses of all weapons, though is most skilled with swords. Clad in surcoat, chainmail and battle-cloak, and often carrying a shield, he is resistant to a certain degree of damage, while still not as heavily armoured as many knights, a fact which he plays to his advantage. He moves with surprising speed for a knight, often catching out unsuspecting enemies, and where he cannot match a foe blow for blow, he relies on dexterity and still to make up for brute strength and heavy armour.

Character Bio: William is the second son of a small lord, and therefore inherits no lands. In such cases, it is expected of the son to become a knight, and go to find service in another lord?s household, to be both a part of the lord?s
William has come to the Caste in search of employment, and hopes that it requires the services he can provide.

(wasn't sure where to post this, or if i should PM it.)
Name:Kraymen O'Thule

Gender: Male

Age: 36, though older looking.

Hair: Dark brown hair, Shaved head, though normally slightly grown, with matching length facial beard.

Eyes:(Color, etc.) Dark brown

Appearance: Kraymen average height.he has a slight athletic build. His face has several scars, the largest over his mouth, up to his eye.

Clothes: Lightly plated worn silver armor. The silver helmet has a Trojan like horse hair, colored dark green. He also has a ripped, also worn green cloak.

Weapons/Equipment:(Kraymen's main weapon is a medium length wooden spear, with a deadly sharp tip. Often used for cavalry fighting, it can also be thrown. A custom, perfectly balanced short sword is sheathed on his belt. In his left hand he carry's a dull silver shield, covered in nicks and dents. On the front is a decently painted, faded, dark green horse head.)

Fighting Style:Kraymen's people specialize in mounted combat, but must serve as infantrymen before they are accepted into the riders, so they are often well rounded. Kraymen personally will try to keep his foes at length with the spear, quick jabs and stabs to keep them off guard, and slowly weaken them. Sometimes, he will throw his spear at the hostile, and draw his sword. The shield is as much of an offensive weapon as his sword, using it to knock and bash, but also defecting the occasional blow.

Character Bio: Kraymen comes from a distant land, which revolved around horses. A once nomadic people, the culture admires and depends the animal. He joined the cavalry at age 20, and spent 10 years riding and fighting for the kingdom until his commander led the men on a brutal, bloody campaign across the open plains, conquering all of the small factions, trying to unite them, but often ended in slaughter. Kraymen deserted, and rode for months, rarely stopping, until he came to the large city.)

Background
[HEADING=3]Blood on the Knife: The Origins of the Shadow[/HEADING]
By: Lost in the Void

He watched his mother in the next room; her moans had awoken him on this cold night. Someone was warm though, keeping close to his mother. He could have seen his father, on many nights such as this one; the trouble was distinguishing which one of the fuckers was his own father. He had never talked to the men who entered his home, nor would he. The moans grew quicker, and louder until all was silent, he looked further into the room to see his mother collapsed on the unfamiliar man, her breasts bulging across his naked chest. His heart filled with rage at the sight of this, and he ran to the sad excuse for a kitchen they had, grabbing a knife from the many open containers that scattered across the room. It was his favourite knife, his hunting knife from which he had obtained meat for his mother, and himself. Now it would cut another meat.

He returned to the doorway, listening for movement. He snuck a look and saw the man, now clothed, tugging on his boots. His heart skipped a beat, as the man's ensigma was one from The Castle that loomed over the slums in which he lived. He man turned away from his mother, leaving a few coins on the stand by the bed. The child had time to hide himself in the shadows, and the man left the room, his boots clicking quietly over the wooden floor. The boy waited, quietly following him biding his time. At 15, the boy was quiet as a mouse, learned from years of hunting, and stealing. The man sensed something and spun around seeing nothing in the dark. The boy hid under the table, as the man sniffed and went back to walking out the door.

The boy slipped out the door before it clicked shut, and continued to pursue the man. The time was now, and the boy struck the man on the back of the head sending him into unconsciousness. The boy drug the man to the nearest tree, and grabbing some rope, strung him up to the top of the lowest branch. The man began to awaken, so the boy promptly pulled down the man's trousers. The sudden chill caused the man to fully wake. He found he couldn't speak due to the gag in his mouth, but he saw the *****'s boy in front of him with a knife in his hand. The man's mind immediately deduced what was about to happen, and began to scream through the gag, thrashing as much as he could. The boy began to cut, and the thrashing grew more violent, as he tried to gain freedom from the pain. Finally the boy was done, and with a thump the severed flesh hit the ground. The man grew faint from the pain, and blood loss. His vision faded, and his last images of the world were the boy, his hands drenched in his blood grinning at him, and the man faded into the Abyss.

The next day the slums were in an uproar as a noble was found dead in the Slums. No one knew who the killer was, as the only clue was the vicious way in which he had been mutilated before he died. No one, but two people knew who had killed the noble; the boy, and his mother. She called him a bastard, and a useless, worthless sack of scum, and he left the house, he would not return to the life of resentment, and nights awake listening to his mother make the coin for the house. He first stole a black cloak and draped it over himself as he stole away into the furthest corners of the Slums. He came upon gangs, and began to work for them, doing various jobs; he killed debtors, and those who stood in the gang's way. After three years of the life of blood and gang servitude, he was approached by a noble to assassinate one of the key Knights of the Rose. This was his chance to make it big, to move out of the gang life, and move towards being a true assassin, and earning his title of "Shadow"
