Welcome to the Castle! You have clicked because you want to possibly be a part of a good Fantasy RP. Well, you're in luck. The Castle is unique, in that there is no established GM. Well, I am... But I don't totally control the story. During different sections of this RP, a different player will take the reigns and control the story for that Chapter.

The Story
The central storyline of this RP will occasionally happen. However, it will most likely be side-tracked by the players GMing, so it will take a back-seat to things like creativity, individuality, and character interaction and development. This last bit is very important. Seeing as there will be little story to guide the characters, they need to rely on their own convictions and interactions with the world.
When there is story... It will be subtle, and will usually go unnoticed at first.

The Setting
Most of the stories will take place within or around the castle or nearby locales. Occasionally the map may get larger, if the current GM or story calls for it. The Castle is the governing building of the most populous city in the Nation. It's larger in population than the Capital City, and more frequently traveled to and from.

The Characters
These would be you, and Shapsters, and myself. This is the thread where you submit an audition character sheet. Not everyone will be accepted, but we hope that all of you put real effort into these so that we may have some good players.

To give you a little bit of an idea to go on... Here is my own sheet.
Name: Zemica(Zemi)Ambolten

Gender: Male

Age: 24

Hair: Red-Blond(Roan), curly and collar-length.

Eyes: Green

Appearance: He is a bit on the short side, merely 5'6", and slender, but strong, in build.

Clothes: He dresses sharply, but casually. Being on the road quite often, he prefers to wear clothes that he can get dirty, but still look good. On his right hand, there is a signet ring on his ring finger.

Weapons/Equipment: A double-edged longsword, magically forged with his own blood.

Fighting Style: Sword & Fire Magic, lightly armored. He coordinates his swordplay and spellcasting together and separately. His armor is light and flexible, giving him full freedom of movement.

Character Bio: A traveling noble-turned-mercenary, he is in fact originally from Amblut, a port town in the Northwest of Brachyuria. His father is Lord Oren Ambolten, and his mother is a sister to King Dalen. He has a younger brother, Theron, whom he gave the first-heir position to before he left.

Other Info: He has a pet ferret that is often seen near him, on his head or shoulders, or sometimes up his sleeve. The ferrets name is Gerik.


Write up your character sheet and post it here. Remember, get creative with those characters.

Note: At the end of every story, we will usually give room for new players to join, and old players to leave, if they want. This will help keep the RP moving smoothly, getting rid of any stagnancy. Good luck!

I just want to add that there will obviously be a lot more coming from me and Mookie_Magnus, this is just a thread to promote some interest in the idea.

And put a lot of effort into your character and GMing idea, there will be quite a lot of quality control in this RP.

Name: Kelale Lorenthche

Gender:Female

Age: 20

Hair:Has long, dirty blonde hair. She wears a light blue bandanna around her head to keep the hair out of her face while putting the rest of it into 3 individual, and large, braids. The braids stop at the small of her back. Also wears a small clip on her bandanna as a homage to her deceased mother.

Eyes:Has full heterochromia [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heterochromia], therefore one of her eyes is blue and the other is green.

Appearance:Fair skinned, relatively short, about 5'5, and 106 lbs. She has a few freckles on her face, along with a small scar on her lip from a childhood accident. Has a small frame, but is well endowed. Slim and fit she has little to no fat on her body.

Clothes:Wears a sleeveless gray pauper vest, which is always open, atop a white long sleeved cotton shirt. Worn down, dark colored shorts along with black, and withered ankle boots. A small metal plate covers her right shoulder.

Weapons/Equipment: Carries a stave with two blades at each end.

Aside from the stave she has a small piece of armor covering her shoulder, but it serves almost no purpose.

Fighting Style: Kelale is not a powerful fighter, instead her skills lie in healing and protecting the party with White Magic. Quick, but because of the lack of any type of armor she cannot take large blows from bigger enemies.

Character Bio: Kelale is a young adult who specialises in healing. She is shy and introverted, but has a very positive attitude.

Being born and raised on a farm in the far off countryside Kelale dreamed of the day when she could explore the world. Her mother, Salfon Lorenthche, was a highly respected mage amongst their small community. Her father, Auros Lorenthche, was a simple farmer and man.

Kelale was an only child and had very few friends growing up. Because of this she spent much of her time following her mother like a duckling. After her lessons Kelale's mother would teach her about the uses of magic, and why it was only to be used for good. Kelale took the teachings in stride and after a few years established herself to be just as powerful and as helpful as her mother.

Sadly, her mother contracted a terminal diseases when Kelale was seventeen years old. Though Kelale begged her to use her magic to heal herself her mother refused. She said "It is my time to leave this plane and move onto the next. There are some things you should heal, and there are some things you must let die."

After her mothers funeral Kelale packed her things and left home. She wandered the country for three years until finally landing near a town that was alongside the Castle. She stays there, looking for odd jobs to keep herself afloat, and helping anyone along the way.

Other Info: Kelale was named after the goddess of war. A name which she thinks doesn't suit her at all.

Age: 17
Hair: Mousy brown, matted, unkempt and un-cared for. Is usually tied back with a leather thong (piece of leather, you know)
Eyes: grey
Appearance: Short and plump, pale and dry skin, small nose and stern mouth, average sized ears
Clothes: Average blacksmith tunic, worn and dirty from hard work
Weapons/Equipment: Her trusty hammer with the chipped head.
Fighting Style: Heard of the head-shot? Elena likes to hit people who steal things in the head with her hammer. What results is never pleasant. Her size means that she's usually the human shield.
Character Bio: Elena took over the family business at 14 when her father died. A blacksmith by trade, she's not the kind to actively seek conflict, but it invariably ends up on her doorstep. She comes across as a matron-type figure, the kind of woman who reminds you of your mother when you got into trouble. But she is a caring person who only wants to live to see tomorrow
Other Info: Her aim in life is marry a Lord and wear a "fancy dress".

Appearance: Roughly 5'11" he has a small muscular build from vigorous training, and hard labour. He has a scar crossing over one of his eyes which links together when he blinks.
Clothes: A black cloak over a thin leather armour that covers most of his torso, arms and legs, while still leaving enough to maneuver quite easily. a black hood that covers his eyes completes his outfit
Weapons: Two curved knifes on his belt, and a small rapier on his back scabbard.
Fighting Style: He moves gracefully in battle moving from one move to another like a dance practiced many times. His armour allows for great maneuverability allowing him to move quickly, and strike decisively.

He watched his mother in the next room; her moans had awoken him on this cold night. Someone was warm though, keeping close to his mother. He could have seen his father, on many nights such as this one; the trouble was distinguishing which one of the fuckers was his own father. He had never talked to the men who entered his home, nor would he. The moans grew quicker, and louder until all was silent, he looked further into the room to see his mother collapsed on the unfamiliar man, her breasts bulging across his naked chest. His heart filled with rage at the sight of this, and he ran to the sad excuse for a kitchen they had, grabbing a knife from the many open containers that scattered across the room. It was his favourite knife, his hunting knife from which he had obtained meat for his mother, and himself. Now it would cut another meat.

He returned to the doorway, listening for movement. He snuck a look and saw the man, now clothed, tugging on his boots. His heart skipped a beat, as the man's ensigma was one from The Castle that loomed over the slums in which he lived. He man turned away from his mother, leaving a few coins on the stand by the bed. The child had time to hide himself in the shadows, and the man left the room, his boots clicking quietly over the wooden floor. The boy waited, quietly following him biding his time. At 15, the boy was quiet as a mouse, learned from years of hunting, and stealing. The man sensed something and spun around seeing nothing in the dark. The boy hid under the table, as the man sniffed and went back to walking out the door.

The boy slipped out the door before it clicked shut, and continued to pursue the man. The time was now, and the boy struck the man on the back of the head sending him into unconsciousness. The boy drug the man to the nearest tree, and grabbing some rope, strung him up to the top of the lowest branch. The man began to awaken, so the boy promptly pulled down the man's trousers. The sudden chill caused the man to fully wake. He found he couldn't speak due to the gag in his mouth, but he saw the *****'s boy in front of him with a knife in his hand. The man's mind immediately deduced what was about to happen, and began to scream through the gag, thrashing as much as he could. The boy began to cut, and the thrashing grew more violent, as he tried to gain freedom from the pain. Finally the boy was done, and with a thump the severed flesh hit the ground. The man grew faint from the pain, and blood loss. His vision faded, and his last images of the world were the boy, his hands drenched in his blood grinning at him, and the man faded into the Abyss.

The next day the slums were in an uproar as a noble was found dead in the Slums. No one knew who the killer was, as the only clue was the vicious way in which he had been mutilated before he died. No one, but two people knew who had killed the noble; the boy, and his mother. She called him a bastard, and a useless, worthless sack of scum, and he left the house, he would not return to the life of resentment, and nights awake listening to his mother make the coin for the house. He first stole a black cloak and draped it over himself as he stole away into the furthest corners of the Slums. He came upon gangs, and began to work for them, doing various jobs; he killed debtors, and those who stood in the gang's way. After three years of the life of blood and gang servitude, he was approached by a noble to assassinate one of the key Knights of the Rose. This was his chance to make it big, to move out of the gang life, and move towards being a true assassin, and earning his title of "Shadow"

Name:Nerthach Ackland
Gender:Male
Age: 19
Hair:Dark brown, thick and curly hair that covers his ears and touches his eyebrows.
Eyes:Dark, forest coloured green eyes.
Appearance:Quite tall and lanky, standing at 6'2, with long skinny arms, not much muscle mass. Slight beard(as well as he can grow), long slender nose, thick eyebrows and ears that perhaps stick out too far, but hair and a hood are covering them.
Clothes:Boots appropriate for travelling in the forests and climbing trees, fairly tight fitting slacks(again, appropriate for forest travel), long dark green rope and hood which he wears at almost all times. His hood is often up to hide his ears and prevent twigs from getting stuck in his curls.
Weapons/Equipment:Long wooden staff that he carved himself, when the staff is touching the ground it makes the magic flow with nature more easily. The top of the staff is carved in an odd fashion, it is almost hook-like to help with grabbing out of reach things and climbing trees, but at the same time is the shape of an orb for reasons only know to Nerthach. He does not wear any armour, it would only weigh him down when traversing through forests and caves.
Fighting Style:Nerthach has the ability to harness the various aspects of nature. He uses nature to his advantage, and in turn treats it with love and respect, if he sees something out of place, injured or dying in the forest, he will correct the problem, Nerthach and nature work together in symbiosis. Nerthach can ask animals to aid him, control the earths movement beneath his feet, make trees move and couture to his advantage and even have the wind aid him in his travel.
Character Bio: Nerthach has a fairly basic story, grew up on a farm outside of The Castle, discovered his magic at a fairly young age when animals gathered around him without his doing. He turned 18 and left the farm, looking for adventure, danger, the usual fare, he found it when he had a run in with a bandit, this was when he fully harnessed his power and brought a tree crashing down upon the man. He was a bit shaken up but moved on toward The Castle nonetheless, after he reached the Castle he sort of stayed around town, a bit weary of danger, but at the same time eager for excitement.
Other Info: Nerthach usually has an animal or two at his feet, they aren't his pets by any means, but they are usually there. A rat, a rabbit, a bird, Nerthach is aware of their presence and gives them scraps of food.

The sheets are looking good so far people, remember to put lots of effort in and keep them coming!

Name: Vladamir Vassago
Gender: Male
Age: 25
Hair: Vassago is bald. His natural hair color is jet black, a fact that you can only distinguish from his beard (a well kept beard that looks oddly regal) and eyebrows.

Eyes: Hazel. His eyes betray no emotion. Stoic.

Appearance: Vladamir Vassago is 5'11'' feet of long muscle and scars. He looks like an extremely toned 185 pound fighter, and this fact is only highlighted by the patchwork of scars lacing around his torso and arms. He has one scar over his Right eye that traces from the start of his scalp to his jaw.

Clothes: He wears leather grieves and a tight fitting armored tunic. His arms are bare except for leather bracers on his wrists. Around his neck is hung a silver pendant carved with the image of a raven.

Weapons/Equipment: Wears a dagger and five throwing knives at his belt, thou his main weapon is an axe and saber combo.

Fighting Style: Vladamir fights with a saber and axe, using the axe almost as a Main Gauche. His sword work is a mixture of royal fencing, calvary saber fighting, and "swashbuckling". That is to say that it uses the finesse of fencing, the hack and slash of calvary saber work, and the "acrobatics" of swashbuckling. Technically he stays true to the styles, but visually it appears as a berserkers dance. Using the axe in his left hand to act as defense, his offense comes from the saber in his right. It combines the perfect flow of shoulder strikes, and precision flicks of the wrist. It is a skill set honed in battle as well as swordsman's schools.

Character Bio: Vladamir was the first son of a well off merchant, so as a child he got to rub elbows with the highest of class. He stood out at a young age for his skill with fencing, and oddly enough poetry. He tried to fit in with the Regal upper class, but his adventurous and stoic nature was off putting (that and the noblemen looked down there noses at a merchant's son). Vladamir joined the Royal Cavalry, at fifteen, when war was brought to their land, and he fought hard to no avail as his kingdom fell and he was left a wandering warrior for higher. He took odd jobs as a mercenary and marine (sailor) to pay for his living and quench his taste for adventure and battle. At Twenty-Four, Vladamir's style of swordsmanship caught the eye of a Noble captain who then employed Vladamir as his own personal guard and his son's sword teacher. His new job brought him to the Castle. A "foreigner" in new lands some might call him, but others know the truth. He is a man with no true home and no true friends outside his sword.

Other Info: Vladamir carries a small bound journal of his travels and poetry, and has a pet Raven who he has trained like a messenger hawk. It's name is Hugin.

Sorry for making the fighting style so long. I truly hope i can get in, it seems like it might be fun.

EDIT:
When i say axe think hatchet.

And by long muscle i mean he is built for speed and fighting, he is by no means a "strong man" weightlifter. Long muscle (fighter's muscles) are for short bursts of speed and strength. Think of like a boxer or MMA fighter. Or Bruce Lee.

Hmm, I'll stick a sheet up soon as I can, if it's not up tonight it shall be up tomorrow definitely.

Name: Dekres 'Dek' Uyran

Gender: Male

Age: 22

Hair: Light brown hair that falls over his ears.

Eyes: Deep grey eyes that appear curious but cold.

Appearance: Standing at 5'8 with a slim yet refined build. Has a 3 pronged scar trailing down his check to the base of his jaw from a hunting accident.

Clothes: Dark brown cloth trousers and a huntsman vest. Only armour consists of bracer's that cover his wrists and lower arms.

Weapons/Equipment: A longbow with a 30 arrow quiver, and a scimitar blade as a backup.

Fighting Style: Tending to favour long range, Dek is quick and quiet on his feet due to being brought up as a hunter. He adapted after a target got close enough to injury him and introduced a blade that he'd be training with into his style. Quick, weak strikes are his primary method to overwhelm his foe, has named this style White Eagle after a painting he saw years ago.

Character Bio: Brought up as a hunter by his father on their small farm, Dek quickly followed in his fathers relished hunting style of only killing things that you plan to eat or could harm you immediately. This form has only failed him once when a cougar he thought was just passing attacked him. He was narrowly saved by his father firing an arrow through the cougars head from close range.

Other than that event in his life, he had a relatively quite upbringing that revolved around training and learning how to run a farm.

Other Info: His bow is named Lucy and the blade named Sasha.

Name: Andoras Felldras

Gender: Male

Age: 27

Hair: Short gray hair, very messy but not visible due to his hood and mask.

Eyes: Gray eyes, there always calm looking regardless of the situation

Appearance: 5'9, 122 pounds, pale skin, with scar on his left cheek. however none of these features are visible due to the mask and clothing he wears, he has a rugged quality that some find attractive.

Clothes: Black robes cover his chest, arms, and legs. A hood covers his hair and a steel mask covers his face, there is no visible skin. only his gray eyes show through the mask. this lack of armor with the expectation of the face make him extremely agile, but utterly unprotected.

Weapons/Equipment: Two short swords made of steel covered in various ancient writing, the handle's are made out of rare black crystal.

Fighting Style: Favors close combat, he lights his swords on fire with an ancient magic, burning opponents with slight touches of his weapons, his attacks are extremely quick.

Character Bio: Born in a small mountain village, where babies born with gray eyes and gray hair were considered to be great warriors, his parents had hopes that he would find a job in the military, Andoras became what the villagers called a fire dancer, a warrior who attacks with dual wield weapon's set ablaze by magic, he excelled in his job as an assassin and became rather wealthy. He is a very effective assassin and great sword fighter, and will fight to the death for the sake of honor, also despite this assassin like nature, he is a very generous person and cares greatly about the people around him.

Other Info: The cold mountain air had a negative effect on his voice development, his voice is harsh sounding and the majority of villagers are scared of him because of his voice and the fact no skin of his is visible, he covers his skin because of strange phobia he has about other seeing his flesh.

Eyes: Faded light blue color, almost gives the impression that she's dead by her gaze.

Appearance: Not elegance at all, more like a hyper 18 year old who just discovered coffee. But over the years, she's learned how to control it, and it's less visible. When she's in combat 'mode' she usually doesn't stand at all, more like sneaking or sculking to not to draw too much attention to herself. Often spaces out from time to time, but snaps out of it by either a sudden sound, impact on her body or a unexpected touch.

Clothes: Tight very black leather armor. Gives her 90% movement capability due to it's reflex material. It's decorated by two bands around her waist, and another across her chest and back. Sort of like a bandoiler. Shoes are very thin and strapped to her trousers. On her left thigh she has a knife holster strapped around her leg.

Weapons/Equipment: A bow made from steel, but it's glancing beauty and decorative craftmanship indicate silver. Along with a small knife made from iron and a few arrows made from iron as well.

Fighting Style: Assassination, likes to take the enemy by surprise, either by distance with her bow, or up close with her knife.

Character Bio: Jessee was an orphan from the day she was born. Her mother died giving birth and her father had died long before that. She went from orphan home from orphan home until she reached 14. She picked up fighting skills from the streets and practiced at the local range with a bow she had made herself. Soon she started to make this a living, various people with vague interests and lots of money came to her and paid for her 'service'. She found herself short on money, so she took most jobs. After a few years of assassinating for blood money, she decided to go mellow and lay low until the bounty on her head dropped.

Other Info:Stone cold hearted killer and a wonderful assassin. But temper sometimes gets in the way. But once she feels trust within someone, she's usually kinder than usual.

It's a semi-fuedal society underneath a main crown. More will be explained in the RP thread.

Killing various targets, mostly just within the local small towns. Also attacking and robbing convoy's along the main road.

Other Info: Merciless, senseless and a born killer. Stone cold hearted killer and a wonderful assassin. But temper sometimes gets in the way, and boiling anger often gets the bast of her. But once she feels trust within someone, she's usually kinder than usual.
No Dark Brotherhood assassins. This is not Oblivion.
