And the ICO successor, The Last Guardian is AWESOME.

Racing games galore apparently for the PS3. Grand Turismo 5.

Ow my ears. Turismo is freaking loud and some of the engine noises are annoyingly bad.

I don't own a playstation, but I am so glad that I decided to watch this conference. Who knew they'd have the best preview of assassin's creed!? Damn it, I can feel myself getting hyped for this game; I was hyped for AC 1 and severely disappointed.
Oh, does anybody else think Sony and MS are basically doing the exact same things? Microsoft's motion technology was better, but Sony showed that they are going to implement theirs better. Either way, Nintendo are probably pissed.

Not fanboy:

Sony had the best presentation. I'll explain later.

A friend of mine has said:

stillkillbilly3: playstation has won me

Microsoft had the second best. Would have been better if some of the exclusives had some weight to them. Alan Wake was the most impressive to me there. Halo ODST seemed like it lacked sound as a whole. Some other things were neat. The webcam they showed was neat, but a bit too geared towards a casual player.

Nintendo has the worst. It was just boring. Awful. Bad. The two new marios and the metroid are the only things that interest me. I'm interested more in Nintendo products than Microsoft products, but this is only because I'm not a fan of the series available on Microsoft. However, if I were, I would be excited for the lineup of games coming out for the 360.

Fanboy:

Sony's conference was the best by leaps and bounds. The very start was great, showing off Uncharted 2 and MAG, both of which made me go from "Yay" to "HOLY CRAP!" I'm indifferent to the PSP stuff, although it has convinced me to get a PSP Go. Don't really care about the PS2, that was more of a "10 year life span, like we said" thing, which seems to be right.

The FF14 was a huge announce, but I was let down by it being online. However, I think it will be my first console MMO.

The camera stuff was neat. It was a mix of unscripted and scripted. It was purely a tech demo, and an impressive one at that. They were not trying to overly wow us with presentations of things that are one or two time plays, they showed actual application of these things in real game settings.

The thing that sold me on it wasn't the fact that it exists ~ Microsoft has something kind of similar. It was the fact that they didn't show anything other than what actually existed. It didn't seem like an empty promise of some tech that mothers would use but instead something that I, a gamer, would really enjoy doing.

The unrehearsed nature of the demo made it seem more like how it would actually be if you used it, and that made it very, very appealing to me because it didn't seem out of the place. Above anything else, I could see myself holding those goofy looking wands and swinging a sword around, or playing an RTS.

What about that racing game where you create your own stuff? That was awesome stuff!

GT5 was a pretty moot point. Great, it's coming. I'm excited for it. When is it coming? GoW3 was impressive and a general release date is neat.

Overall, I was impressed more with what Sony offered than anything else. My inner fanboy was going insane during the entire presentation. The main thing, though, is that I felt PUMPED to go play a Playstation game and go buy a Sony product. Both Microsoft and Nintendo didn't really get that for me.

That's not a good thing for them, I mean, they want me to buy their products, but I'm fine with where I'm at now anyway. I feel no buyers remorse and I'm actually proud to be an early PS3 adopter.

Is that a good summary of how I felt about the presentation?

Sequels, sequels, sequels, and to top it off, rushed sequels in the name of Mario Galaxy and Left 4 Dead. Pretty boring E3.

Sony had a good confrence. GOW 3 probably had the best demo out of all the games in all the confrences.

No infact on deliberation that was entirley Sonys show for once, Nintendo was poor throught until the end, Microsoft it felt like was trying to put out alot of stuff that may go nowhere (Hi hi Moleynux)And the ps3/psp had the most content on display the ball is most definently not in Nintendos court either way.

It looks like Sony may have the best motion control. Much better than the clumsy Microsoft demo.
The sony one looked cool, alot more precise than wii. but thats all it is, like wii. natal is completely unique, don't see how it can really be compared. yes It did look clumsy in demo, obviously not as near finished as sony is. but it uses whole body, not just hands. you jump, your character jumps. no need to do character animations anymore with full body motion capture that will save so much development time. plus the potential of its facial recognition, reading emotions is just scary.

Alas! I did not know that there was no option to add polls post thread creation. Ah well.

People will likely put up their opinions anyway, so tell me: which conference has captured you the most?

I saw the new GOD OF WAR 3 footage, now I can die happy :)
Me too.

If anything stuck out, it was that. I'm going down to the floor to play it right now.

Anyone else from here here at E3? Come find me - I'm on the 1UP crew.

After 5 pm, though, I'm flying back because their inducing labor because my wife is at 41 weeks and I need to be there for the birth of my son.

Overall, my feelings are: PS3 better deliver these games on these promised dates. Kaz's presentation was bleh, and I'm glad they stuck him to the PSP stuff. Big promises, but seriously, Sony is neck and neck with other consoles right now as far as upcoming stuff. If they don't deliver ... I can't say I'm sticking with them. I sensed similiar distrust in the crowd - the guy from Gamespot said, "Yeah, like I can trust them to deliver any of this in 2010 without skipping at least half of the titles."

And Final Fantasy 14? Really? Do we really need another weak Final Fantasy online game? It looked weak to me, and reminded me of that Endless Odessey game or whatever for the XBox.

Both use your whole body.

The archery, for example.

yea but at least sony's demo was LIVE. The natal was pre-recorded although impressive i think the sony tech demo is more relevant to games today. Because the norm 360 fanboy response to which system is better is the one that's relevant today right? and they both used the entire body capture. It's jsut sonys was well..working and already incoroprted into an actual gameplay style. Besides puddle splashing.
