Old thread is old, but I feel like voicing my opinion:

- No auto-leveling/scaling!! Certain areas and quests should be harder than others. I'd like it if I could level up and revisit an area I've been unable to get through, and see my hard work pay off. It's really annoying that every time I revisit oblivion it's just as hard as the last time to destroy an enemy.

- Expand on mercantile. Oblivion was the first RPG I saw that had a "Mercantile" skill, and I'd like to see them expand on that. For instance giving you the option to create weapons from raw materials you have to collect from all over the province, (i.e. specific qualities of wood or metal can only be found in some areas). Giving you the option of loading it onto sacks you load on your horse, or maybe even a horse carriage. This would have to be coupled with some form of cratfsman skill i.e. Alchemy or Blacksmith.

- I wouldn't mind if I had to travel everywhere, in fact, I enjoy it. I would travel everywhere on foot, if I didn't run into a creature every 200 meters, that just so happens to be more powerful than me. I don't mind the occasional robber, but travelling along the roads shouldn't mean that you have to stop every so often and waste 10 minutes of your time.

- Headshot with a bow = Über Crit. While bows naturally don't do as much damage as swords, it would be nice if you could make up for this with better aiming. I've never been much for the brute force classes in RPG's, but bows and spells do ridiculously little damage in Oblivion.

- A living game world. When you walk into a city in Oblivion, you don't really get the impression that anyone but you have a purpose or something they need to do. The Imperial City market district should be STUFFED with ppl at noon, running around and shoving each other, shopping for food, clothes, accessories, etc. I would like to see something like that in the next game. A much more vivid game world. Meeting another traveller once in a while, would be nice too, so you don't feel so alone. And I know I AM alone, and all those 1's and 0's form this world JUST for me, but that doesn't justify the gamer feeling that way.

That's about what I could think of.

I enjoyed oblivion but all the single playering got old, it was best when you were leading a squad against large numbers of enemies, eg: Kvatch etc

Oblivion NEEDS WARS! imagine a huge siege on a fortress with 30+ units on each side (+ limited spawning) where you can attack it or defend it eg: by operating a catapult to damage the structure (scenery destruction) before ordering a charge into the breach or getting a bow and firing through arrow slits to whittle away the attackers or pouring boiling oil down onto the enemy and depending on who wins each war the storyline branches off differently. I know that so many units would take a lot of processing power but it would be worth it, imagine leading an army to reclaim the collapsing province of Tamriel, IT WOULD BE AWESOME!!!
we need more people like you in the world

The ability to fast travel to and from indoor locations.

There are more loads on your screen while playing Oblivion than you'd get in a Jenna Jameson compilation.

You didn't like Oblivion's music? I thought it was terrific.
I agree except for the combat music I felt was weak.
Agreed, every bit of roaming music, calming music and [b/]some[/b] of the dungeon music was great.

But the combat music was so bad!!! They need to get someone else for the combat music. Keep Jeremy Soule for the regular stuff but get someone else for an epic battle.

What I really want is just Morrowind with current-gen graphics. That's all Bethesda, really. But if I had to make a list:

1. Bring back all the skills from the past games.
2. Bring back all the spell effects (levitation).
3. Stay true to the lore of the ES universe. Cyrodiil is supposed to be a wet rainforest-type area, instead we got high fantasy.
4. Remove level scaling. The point of an RPG is to become strong over time.
5. Make exploring worth it. In Oblivion you find a hidden cave, explore it, and come out with an apple and a spoon. This is linked to level scaling, I think.
6. Better NPC behaviour. Morrowind's silent NPCs were better than the immersion-shattering Oblivion ones.
7. Better conversations. This [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ob8Mk5hR4ro] is terrible. his undying stare, flat tone of voice, and stock still posture make the conversation completely uninteresting. These [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pcdDt2QS82U] are good conversations.
8. Better questlines. The Dark Brotherhood was the only good one.

I want to see the sload. I also want a bigger game world that includes provinces we have not had the good fortune to see.

I'll leave that up to Bethesda as to what I want to see. They haven't let me down yet.
Once again we agree on the subject of RPGs.

I want ONE thing from the Elder Scrolls 5. Multiplayer. I lied, I'd also like TES5 to incorporate the leveling system from either World of Warcraft (It actually had something good!O or Fallout 3's leveling. Seriously, only your major skills being able to level you up was fucking stupid. And cut down on the amount of bugs that plagued the previous releases. I know I can't ask for a game without any bugs on any level, but the least Bethesda can do is some fucking PLAY TESTING.

Morrowind had a mighty fuck load of choice when it came to your weapons and armor and clothing. Mix that with the FaceGen Technology of Oblivion, and you can have a truly personal character.

More Customizible houses!!

-Being able to sleep in "Owned" beds even tho the "Owner" is dead .....

-More Drugs

-More Guilds

-Bigger Map

-More armour

-Something super rare that would take years for 1 person to even have a hint its their >.>

-If you manage to Mortally wound someone that person doesn't die they go to a hospital or something for a few days and then re-apear in the world! but u can still kill people with a head shot or bleeding them to death.

-Kids in the game

-More Wilderness encounters e.g coming across a group of Bruma Guards fighting bandits in the forest

-Having a medicine skill that can revive allies that aren't dead.

-Limb damage like on Fallout 3... shoot them in the arm with a arrow and they like grab their arm and try to run then u shoot their leg and their crawling on the ground ....

-Mind Control!

-More NPC's

-More Villages and cities

-Quests that have a wide range of outcomes like fallout 3 in a way

-Better AI

-Option to play a evil person

-Random village and city attacks e.g walking through Vivec or something and bam a horde of deadra are running in killing people and burning stuff and u can kill them

-More realistic enviroment e.g enemies might burn a building, that building will stay damaged for a while and overtime people will fix it

-Ability to create a small village or camp where u can pick up travelers and such and slowly build up a town

-Having assasins chase you if you become bad and such

-More NPC voices Specially on guards :p

-No Guard telepathy, so if u kill someone behind a house and no one see's you nothing will happen until somone finds a body and u get tracked down by guards and becomes a little investigation

-HOLIDAYS, may osund like a MMO but would be cool seing a change in cities and stuff

-Flamable buildings!

-Flame arrows

-Faster horses with better movement animation and cool deadra armour :D:D

-Smashing doors down with heavy wepeons will alwals alert guards but easy accsess into a house

-Throwing weopens like knifes and ROCKS

-One thing that i think would be really awsome if it was like awsomely realistic ... like Footprints, and if your walking and lets say u jump up onto a wall maybe a brick might slip out and fall to the ground or bodies that never disapear (i think they do i dno >.>)
arrows that stay stuck into something forever unless u grab them holes in the walls where arrows have hit... etc

-a Legendary god boss thats really hard to kill (without mods)

-a SKOOMA guild....

-City on city fights village vs village fights... seige wepeons involved e.g catapults

-Bridges that break lol

-Able to Push people :D (off cliffs)

-Fist wepeons (dno if they have them already ??)

-Warewolf powers.

-Vampire powers

-more then one huge quest line e.g a vampire and warewolf quest line

-Maybe appearences from people from oblivion and stormwind lol like the Fan guy that follows u is in a town in ES5.

-More NPC on NPC interactions

-NPC's interacting with enviroment more e.g a NPC leaning on a wall.

-More Named NPC's appearing throughout the cities and towns as u get higher in level

-an awsome Interaction like for example a deadrea takeing someone hostage and u need high bow skill to do this but u like have to shoot him in the head and save the person or let him die..

-Real world NPC interactions like NPC's falling in love without u doing like a quest for them to do it or something

-after main quest line you get a castle or something as your home with guards.

-ability to talk to certain people and get them to build u a home in like certain spots in the world.

-Pet dog!

-new race

-More character customization

-Frameing people and getting them killed e.g killing somone then puttin sword u did it with in their house

-Claiming anyones house if you kill the owner

-Slitstriders!

-Boats

-A form of fast travel like a book that can teleport u to only one city u want 2 or something

-Climbing abilities

-If you kill someone it causes people to freak out wonder who did it not just say hello and be happy lol

-Build ability lol... kinda silly but be funny to build a fence on a path and people go QQ trying to get around it

-Visual Injuries on people like punching them in the face and they get a blood nose or black eye

-Boobs

-Tits

-Penis

-Testicles

-Yeh dam straight naked people ftw

-Better music

-Exiled! if you kill to many people you become exiled from good cities and can't return and their is a bad guy city udnerground or something where you do a massive quest line to destroy goo guy city's and capture them

-Sprint ability for quick in and out assasinations

-Quest line involving slaves!

-Rare collectible Objects (not wepeoens or armour) maybe a rae Plate lol

I'd like to see a more intuitive combat system. Oblivion feels like your character is hitting a pinata, and bring back the animal summons and the ability to summon more than one thing.

More variety in scenery. Oblivion and Fallout 3 both felt very repetitive as far as color scheme and scenery. Mix it up a bit.

Amen to that. The first thing i did after i got oblivion was download a environment mod.
Also there should be children (even if they have to be immortal children)
