I'm gonna play with the idea about how the reset affected Caim going back into this new reality for a brief second.
Caim was on the battleship with his comrade in arms, Tomoya. Lights started going off on the schematics of the ship. With the alarms blaring and angels running every which way, Caim prepared himself for the worst. At the sight of Caim's apprehension, Tomoya turned to Caim and said with a smile, "Don't worry. Heaven is merely reseting the world."
"Reset? That doesn't sound good."
Tomoya shook his head. "No, friend. It is a good thing. All of it will go back to the way it was before Tiberius showed up."
Caim stopped. "Before he showed up? Does that mean..."
Tomoya nodded, "Yep. You might see Angelus again."
Caim dropped his sword. "Angelus? But she's... She's..."
Tomoya clapped Caim's shoulder. "I guarantee it. I put a good word in for you. Just don't go killing people all the time."
A bright light filled the room, and began to envelop everything. Tomoya disappeared from Caim's line of sight. Tears sprang from his eyes, and he smiled with pure happiness for the first time in many days,
"Angelus..."
The light filled Caim's vision.
