Hope he doesn't ask who Teri is...
The trio (Ton Ton, you know), woke as if from a daze; and wandered over to the Bridge numbly. Passing the Canteen, Angelus mutely tapped the Writer's shoulder to follow along, "Bring Cadolbolg with you, if you don't mind..."

Teri nodded quietly, and followed after the little group with the baby dragon in her arms.

Tajuh notices Teri and gives her a good once-over before barking out, "You, noncombatant. If you're going to be on this ship, you'll have to aid somehow. You can aid in finding provisions, unless you'd like Rugal to give a different assignment."

Teri perked up upon being called, and wrote;
Code:
"Easily! Unfortunately, my communication is a little lacking aside from this apparatus... I lost my voice, you see."
Angelus nodded, "My partner and I can attest, she is rather good at finding things..."

Caim rolled his eyes, knowing full well that the dragon was bluffing; "Oh, it's jut a demi-god; no big deal!"

The warrior heard a hiss in his mind, as well as a sharp rebuttal, "Hush you, it is not as if we can tell others that..."

The group soon entered the bridge and were greeted by Rugal swinging his chair around like a classic Villain.
"Caim...It's a been a while...Last time I saw you it was before they Cast me into Hell...See how long that lasted..." He boasted, before a slight twitch appeared on his face, a side effect of the....hospitality he received.
"I've heard many things from Wesker and the rest, By the way, He told me to ask you how is that PDA of his working for you? Heh, maybe when this is over I can finally get you that Voice Box...." He joked as he stood up, recalling simpler times.
It was then he noticed Angelus's Human Form.
"...Well, well, well...So this is what Bruiser was on about....When I heard that a Dragon traded her scales for Flesh, I reckon it seemed....out of character, You we always a proud one, but here we are..." He said before he noticed Teri and Ton Ton.
"Offspring?...No, You didn't?! Ohohohohoh, I've missed out on a lot while I was gone, didn't I?" He laughed, mistaking Teri for Caim and Angelus's daughter.

Tajuh nodded, and the fact that such an ordinary girl was alongside Caim and Angelus didn't pass by hin. It wouldn't have been the first time one of the authors jumped dimensions. It's best if she's kept as far away from Rugal as possible. He motioned to Teri. "Hmm, you'd do good in the medical ward. Talk with the Drow and the Elf for more details on what's expected on it, but that will be your post for now. Understood?" Although he barked out the order, Teri could see a bit of concern in the man's eyes if only for a moment.

She turned to Mark, her eyes a deathly and cold blue, "I'm not mad about that." The way she talked, the words seem to float off her lips and cling into the atmosphere like a mist. She pulled out a small book from the inside of her hoodie.

It was about the size of her hand and was handsewn out of a dark leather. The cover was adorned with nothing more than a triangle with a circle inscribed within it and it consisted of only a few pages, yellowed and torn by age.

"Mark..." she said after a period of silence, "I want your honest opinion... do you think I could have made a good sister? ...Or rather a woman..." Her face was very grim as she flipped through the small book.

Titania popped her head out of the closet in Kyre's Room and smiled at her good fortune. Puce was not attuned to the spirit energy that dwell within the terminal. At least that's what the Queen of the Fairy thought. But in fact the magic energy that Puce had absorbed was not of the Queen of the Fairy, nor the power of the Diffusal Blades, but that of the darkness that gave BlackHarte his name. The creature that once had been a lumbering mass of alien nanites crossing the Antarctic mountains.

Tomoya Okazaki may once have had the stone of light, but the Black Heart, the Stone of Darkness, lay within the Airship's walls, safe and untouched by those who could use it. Titania laughed and then floated off, leaving the room's door ajar. Her little plot was unchangeable now!

But the interface had other thoughts.

---

Kyre woke up with a start and pushed herself off of Puce and onto the floor, her eyes were wild, "Magus! What are we doing out here!?" she shook her head and grabbed the Conduit's hand and began to run back to the room, pulling Puce along with her.

Images flashed through her mind, they were clear now. The cold dark skies and the dead scientists. The burning desire to reclaim what once was lost.

"Something's alive in there!"

---

BlackHarte watched the Red Hood vanish from under his fingers, and then the thousand sprites mulled over the data collected. He was only afflicted with a small sense of loss before immediately getting over it. Computers go through grief at an extended rate.

However his attention seemed to be drawn by something else.

His physical body quickly reintegrated into the floor and moved quickly through the pathways he had carved while repairing the ship. The old Master's room. There were things about to happen that he must record.

Oh, no he didn't!
Angelus' teeth bared at the mention that she 'traded up' her species for another; and hissed, "This form is a guise, a tool for me to infiltrate a quickly forgetting world! And don't you forget it! As if I would give up what I am..."

Secondly, Caim laughed silently at the notion that the Writer was their daughter,
Code:
"This weak little slip of a girl? MY child? Yeah right! You'd sooner see me popping out kids than I admit that fighting is the worst thing in this world! As for the machine, I'm keeping it; regardless of what the mad scientist says... Well; actually, it got destroyed... This used to belong to one of those Angels; but I've hijacked it since then."
That was when the duo found themselves attacked by Kurumu's hug; and Teri slowly edged away from the clearly powerful King of Fighters; and wrote,
Code:
"I'll be getting to my post, thanks. Caim, Angelus, Ton Ton; enjoy your reunion."
And with that, The Writer had begun to wander to the med bay, mouthing a single "Thank You" to Talujah before going.

The pact partners found themselves (after seeing their author being safely placed in a new position) attacked by a Kurumu busty hug. Ton Ton had managed to evade the assault, as he was so short, but watched in amusement as Caim and Angelus squirmed in vain to escape the Succubus' grasp.

Klaara was looking at a page in the book, and upon it was a circle circumscribing two people, a man and a woman dancing up a field of grass. A pencil drawing, but it was very clear, a small girl wearing a knee length dress held onto a small boy wearing a burlap tunic and trousers. They were both laughing, and on the bottom of the page was written the word "Gemini."

"...No," she said firmly, "I mean, would I make a good hostess, would I be a cleric or druid... could you see me working at an old shrine or at home being domestic. I... I don't know why I'm even asking you this. But I just never got an answer from Sav." She looked upward, "he would always say that I'd be a terrible shrine maiden. The little fuck."

Emerald seemed panicked, she pulled hard on Puce's arm and motioned toward the shower, "Can't you feel it!?" Her voice was quivering, and her hands were cold and sweaty, "It calls out, it's in pain..."

Inside the shower room, the interface module was still vibrating, it's single blue light was glowing softy, and the black tentacles drooping from the many broken segments in it's sleek black shell swayed softly as they tried to find something to attach to.

"I'm afraid," The Anti-Mage said to Kurumu and Puce, "Magic is something I am comfortable dealing with... but machinations frighten me to no end."

Klaara flipped to the next page, there was a sketch of the girl again, she was holding up a tablet whcih was engraved with an Oros boros. The caption read "Science is lost when you lose the mysticism of magic. Never forget little clear one. Magic is as real as you wish it to be."

"Sav and I were talking about curses," she shook her head, "he was being bullied in middle school and he wanted me to teach him a curse to put upon his classmates. I asked hi the same question under different pretexts. He never answered. Now I'm asking this because you made me lose my sense of self"

Klaara paused and flipped to the next page, "If I spent all of my life defying social norms... what do I do when someone accepts me."

The interface was made of a strange material, a complex bond of fullerites and other carbon hexagonal tubing. The material was insanely strong and an absolute mess of bond energies. There seemed to be all types of elements clumped inside the crystal lattice. High amounts of quartz and silicate, as well as a good deal of organic enzymes and proteins. This thing seemed to be both organic and synthetic at the same time.

The energy within the interface was the most jarring point, there was a sphere around it, a thin but perfect surface of magical power that surrounded the interface, the tentacles moved along the surface of this sphere. Within it, the energy was spread like branches would be within a tree, jagged angles and straight lines all leading to that strange film of energy. The very core of the interface held an immense amount of power.

Kyre shook her head, "I have never touched it, but it calls to me to do so. It years for the warmth of flesh, to stop being lonely. It's in pain."

And before anyone could do anything, the tentacles turned toward Puce and launched themselves toward him, striking his skin and embedding their tips into his flesh.

Kyre shrieked, "This is why I dislike machinations!"

Puce could hear a voice now, or rather he saw images and heard noises and smelled aromas that made him put together a voice that was speaking to him, "Where is my master," it said. In his mind's eyes Puce could see a great black mass of chittering creatures all bound to each other in a hivemind. It had two then yellow lines for eyes and it looked directly at the Conduit. "Where is Alice."

Lucifer and Devon:

You know... Christmas was on its way and D.Tomoya was definitely not making any friends with his gift of bombardments and viral agents. Knowing this and knowing that even the Devil has to give out gifts for Christmas every now and then, he made the healing part easy for Devon.

"Devon... would you be a good little writer and co make something that we can fly out of here on the roof while I take care of the survivors?" The Devil said as he traced his sign in the air and pulled out a fiery dagger and without pause, plunged it into the heart of the closest survivor.

It's all about trust... how much does Devon trust someone who's called the Prince of Lies, The Scourge of Man, The Fallen One, The Eternal Adversary?
He looked around as he struggled to write, but nothing came to his mind once again. "Damnit, why can't I think of anything?" Increasingly frustrated by the situation, he typed down Plane, carries 15, VTOL capabilities, invisible to radar, mach 3 speeds, invisible to radar, durable in any combat scenario hoping something would pop up when he felt his left arm act as if it was being cut open. Not wanting to hint Lucifer off on anything being wrong, he pointed to the stairway while doing his best to keep silent, but his left arm dangled by his side uselessly.

Upon climbing up to the top, Lucifer saw the plane. It looked much like a dual=engine Cessna, but the integrated thrusters on the bottom would provide the lift needed to get off this high-rise, and the Prince of Lies knew a durable plane when he saw one. The plane was geared to go, now all that needed to happen was the departure.

"which is exactly my point, just moments ago you called me a monster who "acts" wise, and insulted the manner in which i arrived here. even though you know little if anything about me or what I am... i was trying to spare the history lesson... but then again you don't come from my world, so i don't blame you for not knowing what a "tiefling" is. you see in the history of my world, a long, long dead empire was so drunk with power, that they summoned the devils of the nine hells and made a contract with them. then, they and their descendants became the monstrous form like myself that you see, also cursed... some once just by the fact that all tieflings go to hell, no ifs ands or buts. and others like myself were cursed twice, note my red robes, for if i do not wear something red at all times, I bleed out from multiple parts of my body until i either manage to change into something that fits the bill, or die of blood loss." she then shudders. "which also means I go to hell when I die, no matter how much of a saint I act in life. that's the spiritual baggage some great great grandfather of mine signed me up for, with their own benefit in mind."

Riki & Kud.
Location: Rising Dawn, Riki & Kud's room (Tomoya's previous room).
Time: 1am. (Fast forwarded since they are sleeping)
The night was slow on the Rising Dawn. The previous days battle weighted heavily on everyone, though they did get their rest. Even though the city of New York was completely and utterly destroyed by D.Tomoya, everyone was confident and determined to stop the dark archangel from accomplishing his goal, even though they have to go up against his infamous army.

They also knew his weakness, the Stone Of Light. The very stone which granted Tomoya to become the Archangel of Lightning and guardian of the world. The Dark Tomoya ripped it out with a holy dagger he used many years ago and placed it in an angelic box which now resides in the Mayan Temple's main vault along with his signature weapons.

Though in the room of Riki & Kud, the couple were sleeping next to each other, dreaming. In Riki's dream he was on the streets of a besieged New York, he was with Kud running from a dark power. The two tripped over, Riki looked back to only see that it was a body of a close friend he knew back in his world. "No... no" He kept saying as the two began to run again.

In a few minutes of running at top speed the two were at a dead end. Turning around the Dark presence was there, smiling crazily at the two. Dark Tomoya then began laughing as he pulled out his dark katana and pointed it behind them. Riki looked behind to only see all of the Rising Dawn crew impaled to the wall. "Impossib-" Riki was talking until he could no more. He just could not talk. Turning back he saw the most horrifying sight of all. The dark figure of Tomoya held his lover. "Kud!" He yelled inside his head. Tomoya turned back and smirked at him, blood flowed in the streets as he held her higher by the neck.

Then BOOM!

A giant explosion erupted from the background of the ruined city. The last thing Riki saw was Tomoya smile evilly at him as he held his struggling and crying lover in the air. "Riki...RIKI...RI-" She screamed as the two were incinerated. "No...NO...NOOOOOO!!!" He yelled as the explosion passed through him, taking his skin and body with it.

The next couple of seconds Riki was gazing at the metallic ceiling of their room. It was dark but he immediately checked to his left and he saw his lover sleeping next to him, quietly and peacefully. A sigh of relief came out of his mouth as he tried to get back to sleep once more.

Now scared of this so called 'adventure'.

Rugal merely chuckled at the Pact Parter's reaction at his harmless prods.
"Well....I share that sentiment Caim, I was just afraid you'd gone soft on me. As for you "Dragon", I am glad to hear that, Truely...Would hate if you made it easy for me. Heheheheheheh..." He teased, Kurumu and her copies running in and squeezing the life out of them before they could give Rugal a piece of their collective mind.
It was then he refocused on Teri.
"Well...That leaves only you...." He said as he advanced on the writer, everyone in the room holding their breath.
"....Tell me....what is your name?...."
Nothing.
"Something wrong?...."
"Sir, I've posted her in the Medical Ward, She should leave to assist Slindis in taking Stock of the Medical supplies..." Tajuh interrupted, hoping he'd just let her leave.
"Mmmm....Yes...Yes, She should...Run along now. I have other concerns."
Code:
"I'll be getting to my post, thanks. Caim, Angelus, Ton Ton; enjoy your reunion."
And with that, The Writer had begun to wander to the med bay, mouthing a single "Thank You" to Tajuh before going.

"Has the AI been removed?" He asked as he pulled out this PDA and contacted his HQ.
That is correct BlackHarte explained, still not keen about the change in OS AI.
"Good...Viscus, your up." He spoke into his PDA.
Within the space of a few minutes, the Motioner's and Digital Interfaces of the Bridge began to enter a forced Debug mode as the Cartel's AI went to work.
Soon, Viscus's face appeared on the Monitor, formed of Code.
Code:
[color=grey]"Subject: Lord Rugal Bernstein : Download competed : This Vessel is now linked to the AIM Central Computer : Displaying New OS in 3...2...1..."[/color]
And like that, the AIM Brand OS came up with better Radar and Communication software.
"Good, 3 things. 1. I want you to look though the Ship's systems and highlight all damaged or under-preforming sections so I can send people to repair them. 2. start optimising the entire ship, Weapons, Energy, anything you can get your hands on.
Finally..."
Before he finished, he walked over to Caim and snatched this PDA from his hands, much to this voiceless protest.
"This is a PDA owned by a member of Tomoya's crew, I want you to use it to set up a tracker on his fleet. And I don't want any Angels interfering, second it looks like they might break into our systems, drop it and never try again." He ordered as he plugged the warriors PDA into the ship.
Code:
[color=grey]"Yes my Lord."[/color]
The AI answered before he got to his work.

"... I am Black Heart. The abyssal many," the interface replied in the same semi-telepathic manner, "I look for my master, the holder of the Stone of Darkness. If what you say is true, then my master has been gone for much time..."

The tentacles detached themselves from Puce, and the terminal opened. A gust of cold air pushed out toward Kyre Kurumu and Puce, and inside the black box was a single black stone, round and smooth, glossy and clear. It radiated nothingness like a light would give off heat. The intelligence within the terminal beckoned him forward. It asked him to claim it.

Blackharte dropped in from the ceiling and looked up at the stone before jumped up to envelope and consume it. Then he turned toward Puce, his green eye glowing deep crimson red. "...We thank you master Puce," he said as the mass of his body grew to human height and beyond, the swirling mass of nanites began to take a more organic luster. Veins and thick black fluids dripped from the cracks in crevices of his forming shell, "you have given us back our heart... our life. We could never repay you."

Kyre fainted at this point.

BlackHarte's true form regained, the alien beast that once terrorized Antarctica for ages past. The lumbering creature that feasted upon biomass in that cold dark place. The technomorph brought himself to his full height, easily two times as tall as Puce, so that he had to bend over to stay comfortably within the room. "Is there anything you would like from... us."

The blackness was cold to his touch, but also instantly warmed him. Shadows flowed through his body, capturing his mind and giving him things that it had once before seen.

The Antarctic Winter, the Elemental Stones. The Arch Angel of Lightning Tomoya Okazaki, the stranger Severin, the ship BlackHarte and the transmutation array that tore through worlds. The blue one called Black Mage, the red one called Red Mage. It gave Puce it's knowledge on everything from the time Alice first stepped aboard that unnamed airship to it's knowledge of the here and now.

The Mayan Temple where the Stone of Light was hid, and also the amount of weight resting on the crew's shoulders. That is to say none. There was nothing riding on this particular adventure. There was nothing that had not happened before.

"You, do you desire to be my new master?"

Kala tilted her head at the stranger. then chuckled rather ominously at his offer. "unfortunately even some mighty divine intervention won't get rid of it, your parents may have sold someone your soul, but there is more to my curse than a simple trade-off. you see when my ancestors promised their souls, they promised their own, unaware that they promised their families until the last minute. but they also underwent physical changes, becoming devilish creatures themselves. you see, nothing can cure me because i was born to be a force for evil, as an evil creature, spreading evil everywhere i was meant to go. In fact, I'm not aware of whether or not my ancestors were ever quite human in the first place. I simply act in defiance of this nature, even though I'm damned if i do and damned if i don't, because I already belong to the devil. Also, I'm still waiting on an apology for that comment earlier. I've heard enough misdirected hatred towards me over the years i lived what some could call a "normal" life on my now destroyed world. Hell, half my home town tried to kill me at some point and say it was justice, paladins among them."
