Angelus tilted her head, and asked, "And who is to say that you wouldn't join the tournament for your own ends if we told you his name? I am not trying to be rude Rugal, but I'm not entirely sure if I should give you that information. Furthermore; even if you had his name, I doubt he would do anything outside of his own sphere of influence. That is to say, I'm fairly certain he would hold the tournament in this hell we're descending into, so long as it was to fulfill it's course from start to finish."

Learning Time!

Ton Ton nodded enthusiastically, and reverted to his plush form on the double; in order to rest before the main battle. "I'll see what I can do!" And began to wander down the halls, looking for any strange anomolies (as well as leaving a vaguely confused commander).

Teri's eyes widened at the book, and held it closely to her chest; writing:

"I would never abuse a book! Man do you have no idea how much this helps! I learn by seeing things, you see. Also; I wonder if I could pick some of this magic stuff up. I was always interested in the arcane as a kid... Of course, maybe I should focus on one thing at a time, right?"

She gave a silent, but excited laugh; happy to finally be of use somewhere, as opposed to sitting on the sidelines of battle.

Rugal was disappointed but she was right.
"....I take it beating it out of you is out of the question?..." He asked innocently almost, Caim already about to draw his sword.
"...Just a joke Caim...Shame...Still, you're right, I would. You know me too well." He joked as he sat back down.
"Just I believe I might have met him already, He actually helped me back in.....in....." He trailed off for a moment as he had a minor episode of PTSD, recalling one of his worse days in that hell.
His face went from his smug expression to a deep seeded fear for a few moments as his breathing began slightly laboured.
His body twitched a little before he mumbled something about cupcakes.
After that though, he recovered and it was as if nothing had happened.
"Still, We know Tomoya, I'm certain we can easily kill him ourselves, we've seen him fight enough to know how." He said reassuringly as he relaxed.

The young elf shakes her head. "Nuh-uh! We've got lotsa stuff to do here, and you goin' around hurtin' others here isn't gonna happen. Not now, unless you were sent by that Jerk that blew up that city..."

Yup, it's learning time!

Slindis sighed. [color=c20000]"Well, I've never really been the best teacher, but it's something you really have to pick up on yourself. I know the way I learned back home involved lots of hard training in the jungles, but it's really hard to explain it, really. I mean, it was more of a sink or swim approach. Then again, the heads of the temple always said I was too impulsive back then..."[/color] She began showing Teri some of the various ins and outs of the book the best that she could with her lightly-armored hands. With how practiced she was, it was hard to see how the drow hadn't become a cleric.

From what Teri could remember when she had offhandedly looked at Slindis' sheet or her actions in the RP, it seemed like Slindis never had a chance in her life to really rest, and the only person that brought her joy wouldn't even be here if Lucifer hadn't intervened. Not to mention her home simply wasn't there any more. If anything, Devon's begging to go to hell was just another way for him to run away.

Dark Tomoya.
Location: The Blackhawke, in the middle of the Archangel of Lightning Fleet. Behind some kind of planet.
Time: Spaaaaaaa[sub]aaaaaaaaacccccceeeee[/sub] time.

As Viscus was trying to hack into the PDA, a notification came towards Tomoya who was sitting on his Commanding throne. "Commander, we are picking up a connection from Earth." One of the higher officers said to him. "Really... how and what from?" D.Tomoya asked with concern. If anything made him mad and that was when someone got hold on Angel tech. "A PDA from one of the soldiers was left on Earth." The officer responded. "The... fuck!? Since when did we use that kind of low tech!?" Tomoya yelled towards him, throwing his coke can at the window. "Some... human soldiers are not really intelligent enough to use some of our tech.", Tomoya was already sighing and placed his hand on his forehead.

"Ok... get a scientist to do something... funny. Then remove all connection from the device." He smiled. The officer bowed and left away. "I really... hate christmas." He said as he looked at the brightly decorated Command center. "They did a good job I gues-... fuck." He simply said as he left the room to go back to his area.

All of a sudden a video appeared on the PDA, it showed a animated man.


Then all connection with the ship ceased.

The dragon could not help but allow a little bit of pride show through in her proper deduction. After dealing with humans for so long, the dragon could not help but think that she had come to understand the strange race. However she frowned thinking about Tomoya's new lease on life, "Hmn... His main strength lies in his armies. So long as we can cut him from them, he would be much easier to stop."

Caim gave a dark smirk at the thought, "A pile on approach? I like... It's more than the damn traitor deserved..."

Yup, it's learning time!

Teri listened very intently to Slindis' words, taking notes of her own on her tablet in a document titled

"Useful Notes From Slindis"

, and made sure to ask plenty of questions about the logistics of magic, healing and the like. The lengthy talk eventually lead Teri to ask-

"... So, out of curiosity, what made you choose the path of the Paladin? You suit Cleric work just as well as a Paladin.... That is to say, the healing and caring bits are just as easy to you as the fighting and beating face parts. If you don't want to answer, that's perfectly fine, but I was just curious, you know?"

Devon went and grabbed the kids with his right arm, deciding it would be best if he ignored how the wounds were healed up and motioned to Lucifer to the cockpit. "I don't know how to pilot a plane, so unless you want me to write up an AI, it would really help if you took the reins.

If I had known half of the things then, I would've told the rest of the Vulkorri with me to get the hell out of that temple."[/color]

Tajuh noticed the breath the dragon was taking, and he quickly moved out of the way. Fuck it. If people look at me as the asshole here, I don't care. None of them seem to be willing to swallow their pride enough to cooperate with Rugal.

Klaara kicked off the sheets that covered her and put her hands behind her head, "What I want to do..." she muttered under her breath. She pulled herself into a sitting position with her arms warpped around her knees and stared idly at the sleeping Dramatist.

"I just want to be happy," she answered herself, "I want to stay at home with the warmth of a hearth and I want to hear Sav working away at his keyboard. I want to leaf through old books and practice my fiath in peace. Yet, I just don't want to be alone."

Was it a lie?

BlackHarte leaned closer to Puce, his tentacled face nearly touching that of the Conduit's, "I intend to serve my master." His shifting mass of a body churned itself into a liquid and spread across the floor toward Emerald.

The creature's red eye glowed brightly, "I also intend to retrieve the rest of the elemental stones, and devour the world. But everything in it's own time. For now Tomoya Okazaki must be destroyed, and Master Kyre Cwanuld restored to proper mental health." And then it gave a sort of growling, shifting tone from deep within itself, "Of course I also will be giving out nightmares to all of the people aboard this ship. Just to collect their psyche profiles. Moreover I will also catalog their DNA samples and test for an appropriate partner for Master Cwanuld."

In light of the reaction from Kurumu and Puce, the writhing mass of half-synthetic and half-biological matter lowered itself into a less threatening manner, "That last one was a joke."

Teri quickly ran to Slindis' side, giving her whatever materials the Paladin needed, as well as silently praying that David would be alright. Little did she know that her prayers may have had an affect after all... Elena noticed that smaller wounds on David's body were healing up quicker than they should have, but decided to pay no mind to it, for the moment.

Angelus grabbed her son, and gave a low growl, "Cadolbolg!" Exasperation in her throat, she pulled the acting out wyrmling to her face, and spoke very lowly, "You and I need to talk... Alone. Caim, stay here."

And with that, Angelus dragged off the little dragon child, and tried very calmly to explain the situation at hand to the child; regarding Rugal, Teri, and why the duo were cooperating with the Cartel owner, even if they did not care for Rugal personally.

"... So, you can see, this is an uncomfortable situation for all; but we NEED to work together, even if we loathe one another. Otherwise, the Archangel will win in his mad schemes. Now, my little one, I appreciate your attempt to defend myself and your father, but now is not the time! We must lie in wait like spiders, and wait. Patience is a virtue; even if your father is not very good at expressing it..."

Slin recognized that Cure Light Wounds casting.

After the paladin cleaned up the wounds and cast a few Cure Serious Wounds on the more major injuries, she placed her hands over David to nearly heal up all of the damage. [color=c20000]"There, he should be fine for now. Teri, if you would follow me for a moment? I need to talk to you about something."[/color]

As Elena looked over David's body, Slin talked to Teri by the back of the room. [color=c20000]"Teri, I saw what you just did back there. If you wish to develop that talent, I'd be more than able to do so. However, I expect nothing from my students than their absolute best, and you may hate me some days because of how far I push you. Knowing that, what will you choose? I would think no less of you if you declined"[/color]

"Fuck science," she said softly before leaning back against the wall. She half closed her eyes and stared at the Dramatist, and perhaps a faint smile graced her lips in the abject darkness of the room. Who could say. "You say these things... but you've done violence against me, you've molested me, and you've done nothing but dodge my questions in one way or another, and I have done equal to you in many ways."

She closed her eyes and nodded off to sleep, sitting atop the bed with her back against the wall, "Fuck, we're just bastards. All of us."

Black Heart stepped forward, a grotesque humanoid face emerged from what was once an amorphous appendage that was implied to be his head. The skin was shiny and sleek, like that of an insect's shell, and two dark red eyes were pulled just a little too far to the sides of his face, and it bore teeth and a maw like that of a reptile. Then for the first time, Black Heart spoke in an audible, understandable language, "That was not a joke Puce. In time I will devour all of the world and consume all life."

His arms spread outward and enveloped the walls of the room, trapping Puce, Kurumu, and Emerald together, "But you needn't worry. My perception of time is so much different from yours, that it won't be an issue. When humans have defiled the world into nothingness, and the people number too many to be sustainable, I will consume everything and integrate their knowledge, thoughts, and all of the materials of the earth into myself. I will preserve biological life within me and take to the stars. I will continue do save as many races as I can from then on."

He opened his maw, dripping with dark liquid and gave a raspy, demented laugh. "That is an estimated ten thousand years from now." He closed his hands around all three of them, "However, for now I desire that you leave me alone with Master Cwanuld." Puce and Kurumu slipped from his grip and landed on the floor, Kyre was being held up in Black Heart's grip, the liquid nanites began to seep over her and cover her skin.

"I'm one of the people who can help kill that bastard who is ruining my father's sacrifice. Now since you're not helpfull in any way, bye." She said putting her scythe on her back. "I'm going to the captain, he'll probably be the strongest on this ship." she finished an began walking down the hall towards the bridge.

It took a few minutes, but she finally got there, stepping over the cow rocket wreckage. She looked and saw rugal sitting in the captain's chair. "Rugal, i challenge you to a fight. You win, i'll stop pestering you about my father and i'll help you collect his power if you desire. I win, i get to use resources from your corporation to gather his power so i can resurrect him."

Teri nodded at Elena's thanks with a small smile, and followed after Slindis. The paladin looked serious when she asked Teri, [color=c20000]"Teri, I saw what you just did back there. If you wish to develop that talent, I'd be more than able to do so. However, I expect nothing from my students than their absolute best, and you may hate me some days because of how far I push you. Knowing that, what will you choose? I would think no less of you if you declined"[/color]

The girl, full of determination and a will to aid her characters gave a fierce nod and clutched the book closer to herself, willing to do whatever she could to help. Of course, what came to mind next was to help out Elena as well. The girl could feel that her powers were waning already, but wandered back to the warrior. Tapping Elena lightly on the shoulder, Teri held out a hand to Elena silently, hoping she would take it. The older woman looked confused, but followed suit with the Writer. Elena felt a small surge of relief fill her, (Teri's last Cure minors; heals 3 pts of damage total), and the brunette's smile continued, even when she fell to the ground unconscious.

Angelus sighed in relief as her son finally seemed to understand the gravity of the situation; and patted him on the head, "That's a good lad. I know it will be hard to ignore Rugal's posturing; but for the time being, we must bear with it... Ah! What do you know, Caim received his PDA already! See, what did I tell you, son? Patience is a good virtue to practice!"

Kurumu was successful, if only because BlackHarte had already decided to stop expecting organics to act in any sort of rational way. He gave a great and heavy sigh and turned his head toward Puce, his lower jaw hanging wide open so that he drooled as he spoke, "Is she always like this? If so, she might not be the best of companions for Master Cwanuld."

When the Succubus opened her eyes, she found herself sitting on a soft bed in a well lit room. The walls were painted with beautiful hues of purple, and hand carved edges lined the walls and furniture. Beautiful weaving designs encompassed the whole room, and the olive wood decor seemed polished to a mirror shine. Kyre was lying next to her, the small child that she was, unconscious and holding tightly onto Kurumu's tail with her right hand, "[sub]Mama...[/sub]"

A man walked into the room holding a tray of tea and sweets, mostly honey glazed pastries and a few choice pungent meats. He was clothed completely in dark shadows, without skin nor hair nor face. The man's existence itself contrasted with the room. He quickly lay down the tray at Kurumu's lap, bowed and exited.

Then Black Heart walked in, in human form. He had rich olive skin and dark brown hair pulled back into a neat ponytail, he wore a unbuttoned white dress shirt and dark trousers belted with what looked like dragon leather. His eyes were strikingly green, almost as bright as Emerald's own.

"What are you doing in her dream," BlackHarte said blankly, "we are merely performing alterations to her brain chemistry so that her hormones settle down to that of a regular person's, as well as repairing the neurons damaged by both excessive drug use and disciplinary conditioning. After the procedure the Master Cwanuld should come out quite unscathed, if a bit infantile in her behavior. Think of it as doing a factory reboot and then plugging back in the hard disk. She will retain all her memories, but will process them in a much more.. reliable and normal pattern.."

Viscus interrupted the activity on the Bridge, causing a curse from Rugal.
"Dammit, So much for that. Caim, you can have this back now." He said as he disconnected the PDA and lobbed it back to the Warrior who snatched it out of the air.
"I agree, Dragon, Between UNIT, My personal forces and I'm certain that our dear dear friend Kazuya would throw in, we're in a good position to fight them. If this lead bares fruit, we'll have chance, then back to business as usual." He smiled as Angelus prevented an assassination attempt by Cadolbolg.
As he sat back down, the little dragon asked for orders, Rugal's attention finally fell on him.
"....What...are You?...." He asked with a tone of disgust in his voice.
"...Viscus....find something for this.........Thing....to do..." He ordered as he motioned for him to leave.

the AI orders, referring to the Drop Pod he himself sent into Dillon's room.
Then out of the blue, the Woman he send Alucard to bring to him showed up with a challenge for him.
".......Training Room, 5 Minutes, Don't be late..." He bluntly said, ever being one to turn down a fight.

David West

David began to stir after his Flawless Beatdown from Rugal thanks to the efforts of the Medical Team.
"Ohhhhhh....mothaíonn mo cheann mhaith shite..." He groaned as he woke up, much to Elena's delight.
"I was kinda hoping to last a little longer against Rugal then last time..." He said as he rose to his feet, feeling refresh all things considered.
"How long was I out?"

Rugal was less then concerned with the state of Dillon's room and even smiled at the fact that the room was burning.
When Ku brought it to his attention, he merely stared at her.
".....And? What you still doing here? Put it out!" He ordered as Viscus began to contain the fire using the vents, though he knew Rugal would rather see it burn for a while longer.
Still, it wasn't as bad as Cadolbolg said and it could be contained.

David

David returned the hug, despite the pain.
"Relax, I'm made of harder stuff...or Saturday Nights in Bolye were really that rough..." He joked as he stretched a little and cracked his neck.
"I heard of don't bring a knife to a gun fight, but that? That was...something else..." He said as he noticed Teri in the corner.
"...Who's the kid?"

I suppose I have the wrong person then... you have my apologies, even though I did expect it the other way around." she bows her head and walks off to find this "Lilly" and ask why he can't remember tossing those insults. It was easy for her to forget such a thing on her old world, she heard it from everyone, and often at that, but when she teleported to this universe, she was at least hoping to cut the hate short here.

A NEW CHALLENGER HAS ENTERED THE TOURNAMENT.

The Preacher was walking down a corridor as Rugal's new management began to fully take hold in the ship.The most Evil Man on the ship is now running it during a crisis.......Please tell me they've bottomed out As he passed Dillon's old quarters, he noticed Cadolbolg's supposed "clean up" being undertaken. Bracing for the explosion as the room burst into flames, he was relatively unscathed, but left stunned by the random pyrotechnics. As the sprinkler systems kicked in, he could see the remains of the room, including the outfit "Heidern" was wearing. He deceives the ship, protects the daughter of that Paladin and then seizes the ship... Who is this man?

He walked over to a panel on the ship's computer, it was locked by the new "OS", and The Preacher knew little of the technology of this time. He continued walking until he came across a small room resembling an office, it had a set of tablets on a desk. Hmm, wonder if these have any information... It took him a little while, but he got used to how the touch screen interface. He pressed a icon titled "database" and began to browse. It had just the superficial information on previous events, but there was an article on a "Rugal Bernstein".......

Rising Dawn Infirmary.

"I heard of don't bring a knife to a gun fight, but that? That was...something else..."

"On this ship? I thought you'd have learned not to try to shoot the 7-foot Tall Muscle-Bound German Man with a glowing red eye at point blank while telegraphing your attack. You'd have to be stupid enough to fight him at Melee". Fionn leaned back to a wall. "Has anyone seen Preacher?"

Rising Dawn Bridge, Some time later

As Rugal barked orders, making the most of his command of the heroes, the bridge doors opened. The Preacher walked in, "Mr. Bernstein, how are you today? Looks like you were promoted."

Devon tried moving his arm again, but found that no matter what he tried, it refused to move. Shaking his head in frustration, he moved at twice the pace to get the rest of the kids onboard the plane one at a time. A few glances back from Lucifer made it clear that something was wrong with the kid's arm with it dangling uselessly by his side even as Devon sprinted to get the last child onboard the plane. " That should be the last of them. Luficer, let's go!"

Slindis picked Teri up effortlessly and placed her on one of the beds, tucking her in and making sure she was comfortable. [color=c20000]"Well, you're going to have an interesting time learning under me, Teri. Enjoy this rest while you can - it's not going to get any easier for you any time soon."[/color]

She went over to Elena and David to check on his health. Although he still had some damage, it would be able to be patched up tomorrow with a few Cure Light WOunds. [color=c20000]"He'll be just fine. Just give him some time to rest, and don't wake up Teri. New Clerics need the time to recuperate."[/color]

Rugal was doing some last minute cramming before his fight with Daniel's Daughter when Preacher came in.
"I take it you were late to receive the memo. Yes, I have, your Most of the crew admit that I am more then qualified enough, though if you don't care for the change of ownership, please, give me a reason..." He warned without looking up from the massive manual.

David

David sneered at Fionn after his input.
"Oh like you could do any better...Still, I'll stick one in that Nazi's skull sooner or later......
He is a nazi, right?" He asked, rather densely.
